Blue Dragon..?!
I purchased this game via Target's clearance sale and....... I love it. First off, it's not a kid's game. These "kids" in the game say "bastard" about 3 times within the first 10 minutes of gameplay. So, although the cartoony presentation (very nicely done) is nostalgic of a kid's game, this game is serious. I now remember why I liked jRPGs.
Strategy and inventory/item management skills are of normal complexity here. The voice acting is very well done. These kids have very expressive voice tones. The lip syncing is off compared to the excellence of Mass Effect. The game's techno tracks during combat switch modes from the classical, rather serene music of the exploring sections. I think that the lack of a graphic on the loading page augments the concentration on the auditory experience. Blue Dragon's musical mood is similar to that of Eternal Sonata.
All in all, I'm looking forward to playing Blue Dragon when I get home tonight. I'm on disc one and am blown away by this game. I hope I can affort Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata sometime soon. Hironobu Sakaguchi is a genius and because of his efforts, the jRPG is alive and well on the Xbox 360.

Devil May Cry 4 impressions
I'm a long-time fan of the Devil May Cry series. I enjoyed the storyline in this game as well. The various gameplay styles between Dante & Nero also enhance the depth of the game. However, unpredictable camera angles, seeming invincible enemies, and excessive sexuality soured this experience. The game was a birthday gift and I truly appreciate but......I'm a having a hard time finding a reason to put the disc back in. Maybe bloody palace will influence that.

Put on your jumpin' shoes
I jumped in! I've waited for a couple of years to invest in the Xbox 360 until this past weekend. The Pro bundle w/MUA & Forza sealed the deal for me. That, and I have a $60 giftcard to soften the financial blow. At any rate, I'm diggin it. I see why we Xbox owners get so territorial when someone bashes on the system. It's a great system. I already have it connected to Windows Media Center equipped notebook. It's a great thing. Now, if I can only get some great games on tha cheap!
I still hope that Sony does well this generation though. I know, I know. How can he blaspheme like this right? Two reasons:
1) I've stuck w/Sony since the PS1. It's a loyalty thing. I like the gaming experience that Sony offers.
2) Competition forces market equalization. It's like Jordan and the Bulls need the Detroit Pistons. Side A needs the best competition (Side B) to force Side A to make it's product/service better. I have a two degrees in business and a monopoly wreaks havok for consumers in the marketplace.
