My Friends

It's Game Time!

Never cared for what they say,
Never cared for games they play,
Never cared for what they do,
Never cared for what they know,

But I know...

This morning, before going to school, I wanted to buy something from a bar nearby. I bought it, put the change in my wallet and then put it back in my back-pocket. When I arrived in class I wanted to show a friend of mine my Identity Card photo (I look like I was drugged in that photo). I reach for my back-pocket to get my wallet (where my ID was) and I noticed it was missing.

I searched it in class, I even retraced my footsteps throughout the school, but nothing. I even asked the principal for permission to go outside the school to search for it from the school to the bar. Nothing...

With it I lost 40 euro, my October transit pass ticket, my Identity card and a rechargeable battery. This is just a real bummer because I might have to remake my Identity card which is a real pain in the a** since their is always a lot of people who need to make one so your going to have to wait standing up for many hours doing nothing.

Then my 18 euro October transit pass ticket for use with buses, trains and subway trains... now I'm gonna have to hope that no control personnel finds me without a ticket, or else I'm gonna have to pay a 50 euro fine.

My Identity card which costs a lot of money to make could now be in the hand of who knows who. Who knows if he might use it to pretend he's me and get me in trouble.

And last my rechargeable battery... now I won't be able to listen to my MP3 anymore as my battery recharger doesn't charge 1 battery, it has to be at least 2.

In the end I think I lost more than 40 euro with the value of all the stuff my wallet had in it I lost more than 100 euro. In the end I really hope somebody finds it and tries to contact me...

    What a lucky day...

Today was my first day at school. It was great to see my friends again and stuff, but it wasn't great meeting all the guys who made my last year an inferno. All they they would remind me of all the stupid stuff I said and did last year in front of the new classmates to make reputation even worse.

Best part was meeting all my friends again. It really helped me feel better, but those losers almost ruined it all. How much do I have to wait until the next summer vacation? 9 months... this year is sure going to be a long one.

I was updating my Wii to 4.1 when the power went out...

Now my Wii won't output any signal to the TV and my Wiimotes won't connect. It won't read any disc unless it's already inside. I googled it in hope of finding a solution to recover my Wii from it and found out about SaveMiiFrii which consists in pressing all 4 d-pad buttons while turning on the Wii.

This would boot the Wii into recovery mode and then all I would have to do is insert any Wii Game and it would automatically install the firmware update from it.

This is my Wii. It's as useless as a brick.

It didn't work and so, I've got no choice but to send it to Nintendo, again. First the artefact issue, then the kid who formatted my Wii, now this... Why does it all have to happen to me?

Then I'll have to get all my Friend Codes and my friends to add me again... what a pain...

  • 28Jun 09

Let's start with the important stuff first, shall we?

I hate kids. I hate them even more now...

So my little 12 year old cousin comes to pay me a visit after so many years since we saw eachother. He saw I had a Wii and he was like "OMG you got a Wii, can I play? Please!!??". I, the good guy I always am said "Yes you can!". Then my father came and told me to take out the garbage. I took the garbage out and he remained playing, or at least I thought so...

After taking out the garbage,I enter my room and see the same screen you see when you buy a Wii, you know the one with the language select, sensor bar thingy etc. I obliously asked him what he did. He told me he formatted my Wii just to make a joke...

So, being the bad guy I had just became, I kicked him out of my house and told him never to come back without apologizing. The worst thing is that he wasn't even sad about it, he just went back home laughing.

So now I have all my online accounts, game saves, channels, VC games WiiWare eliminated. But the good thing is that strangely I can still download the VC and WW games from the Wii Shop Channel which is great! But I have lost all of my Wii saves which is devastating. I can download them too off the internet (except for a few like Mario Kart, SSBB), but it will never be the same as the sense of accomplishment is lost with it. I lost all of my accounts as they were bound to your Wii save so now I have to check every online game I have to see the new friendcode.

Starting with that my new Wii friendcode is:

    8091-8808-0265-8970

Anyone who added me before this happenning to me can delete the old one and add this one if they want. As always remember to PM me if you do it.

E3 is over and it surely left gamers salivating for what's in store for them in the future, or at least some of them. After whatching all 3 Press conferences I confirm that this gen will be like no other before.

And I must say I was very impressed the most by Microsoft's conference. Project Natal and Mylo are like out of this world, demonstrating that the future is now. Also it's upcomming exclusives makes me wanna buy an X360.

Sony was great too, but with the PSP GO they made me feel like they are milking the PSP to bring in more sales and make developers develop more for PSP.

Nintendo like always tries to focus more on the casuals, showing Wii Sports Resort and humiliating themselves with all their Weeee! Wooo! gestures and pretending that parachuting is fun... At least they showed trailers for the new Mario games, Metroid and DS games.

Well, what can I say?... Pretty good E3. Made me wanting for more. 2009 was good year, but 2010 is starting to look even better.

Finally I have a week of school off. I can now concentrate more on games and Anime, and can finally go out more with friends. A week of playing Guitar Hero and watching Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) and Inuyasha, now that's paradise.

And, for anyone's who's wondering how I'm feeling now, I feel the same way as before (as stated in my last blog).

*UPDATE Monday, April the 6th 2009*

At 3:22 in the morning there was an Earthquake in Abruzzo, Italy. The shock was powerful enough to arrive in Rome too. It was long about 10 seconds but I didn't feel it since I was sleeping. My parents told me about it in the morning as they were woken up by the earthquake. It was about 6 grades on the Richter scale (in Abruzzo) and 8.9 on the Mercalli scale. A few people got killed or hurt in Abruzzo. Luckilly nothing bad happenned here in Rome.

    Literally.

I don't know what's happening to me. I've never felt this useless and empty before. Maybe it's just one of those times when you feel bad about something? I don't know.

Actually when I think about it, maybe there is a logical reason. I don't do anything helpful. I'm lazy. I don't study. I don't listen to my parents when they tell me to do something that I should do for my own good, and I've never loved someone that isn't related to me.:

The strange part is I've been doing those things for ever, but I feel bad only now. Maybe it's love that I need, or maybe a visit to a psychiatrist? I don't know...

For now I'll just try to find out what's causing this emptyness in me by myself...

Am I the only one feeling this or are others experiencing this?

Well, Thursday (February 05) was my Birthday but I celebrated it yesterday, because there was school Thursday. I celebrated it with a big party! The guests were: Vlad, David, Mattia and Andrea; some of my best friends in Italy. We played a lot and had a lot of fun. We played Guitar Hero World Tour, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Mario Kart Wii. We had a blast!

Then started telling some jokes that made us all die of laughter. Like Me: "Guys my uncle is taking a shower, so if anybody needs to go to the bathroom, you can go on the balcony." Then everyone laughs and then Vlad says: Yeah, we would piss on anyone passing by and they would think it's raining." Then David arrives at the party and says:"Man it's really raining outside." It might be hard to understand why it's funny, but if you were there you would understand.

I also got Guitar Hero: On Tour for my DS as a present. I love it, but I think I'm addicted to Guitar Hero.

Then when we had to go, I had to accompany Mattia and Andrea to a bus stop that would take them home since they didn't know the parts of my town and so didn't know how to go home by themselves. We had to wait a long time for the bus to arrive, but it was worth it since we stared to act like idiots and have fun to kill time.

It was a great party! We had fun we ate a lot and it all felt great! I am now 16 years old and looking forward to my future.

    Cheers!

First of all, MY WII IS FINALLY BACK!

After a month of waiting my finally came back. Nintendo had replaced it with a new one and transferred my account onto it with all my saved games, VC and WiiWare games. It's een better than the old one.

Also I was finally able to play Guitar Hero World Tour properly. And all I can say is WOW!This game's a lot of fun, a huge improvement over Guitar Hero III and I can't wait to get Rock Band 2. The drums are super fun and work perfectly, singing is hard and a bit lame and the guitar is good but not as good as the GH3 one. Problem is my new guitar makes a squeaky sound when I strum up. This ain't such a big problem since I always strum downwards but when I have to alt-strum a long section of notes I sometimes tend to lose count of strums since I count the squeaky sound as a strum and the click of the strum bar as another one and thus over-strumming, making FC very difficult.

Also third-party publishers need to OPEN THEIR EYES!!! There's this new game Winter which has been cancelled because the developers couldn't find a publisher. I mean mini-game compilations can get publishers but a mature hardcore game can't? This is insane. This situation makes me very angry and also makes me believe developers and publishers still didn't get after almost 3 years since the Wii is on the market. This is a really sad situation and it's only our fault since we don't usually support these types of games once they're released. A lot of good game like Zack & Wiki, Skate it etc. didn't generate profit despite great ratings. Why? Cause they sold poorly! Games selling poorly can not only discourage their respective developers, but also other developers, making them think twice before making a game on said system.

This situation just has to stop. We must support future hardcore tittles like The Conduit, Mad World, House of the Dead:OK, Muramasa, Monster Hunter, No More Heroes 2 etc. to assure a brighter future for us Wii gamers, to encourage developers to embrace the Wii and make some good games...

Yep, I'm back from Egypt! It was great and it was sunny every day. It was kinda strange to say Merry Christmas when it's 27° C outside when you're used to say it when it's cold.

Anyway, the city where I went was called Shem el Sheik. We went by plane. The flight took 3 hours which was a pain in the ears since 2 hours after takeoff the plane lost some pressurisation and my ears would hurt and get stuck... We arrived safely to our destination. At the airport were our Hotel's staff waiting to take us there by bus.

I stayed at an Italian Hotel with my parents, my uncle and my aunt. The Hotel was kinda made like a village. The company running the Hotel is called Sprintours which has hotels in every country that's good for tourism. The best part was that the food was included in the whole price we had to pay for our stay, so we could eat and drink anything and how much we wanted.

    Our schedule was very Simple:

Wake Up - Eat - Go To the Beach - Eat - See some Landmarks - Eat - Go to the theatre - Sleep

We would wake up every day at 7:00 o'clock in the morning. We would then go and have breakfast. You could choose what ever you wanted for breakfast, like pancakes, a cup of tea, some coffee, some fruit, some milk, bread and jelly etc.

Then we would immediately go to the beach to get some tan. We could also go swimming or go Diving or Snorkeling, but I couldn't since I don't know how to swim. My parents know how to swim so they went for it, while I would usually sleep or play my uncle's DS since I forgot mine home (I'm such an IDIOT!!!). The worst part is, he only had Brain Training...

We would stay on the beach until lunch, where we would go and get our food like always. They had pasta, fries, pizza, mashed potatoes, and for desert there was some cake and fruit. Then we would go visit places like Landmarks and such.

The first place we went to was Ubugalum where we visited the Bedouins who lived in the desert, eating and drinking whatever fruits and water they could find. They also used natural plants and herbs to make medicinal teas (one of which cured my throat ache ). We bought some of their plants to make some tea at home. Then we went to ride the camel which was a very Ball-Crushing experience for me . Why? Because you had a little piece of wood in front of you that you used to hold on so you wouldn't fall off if you would lose balance, and every time the camel made a step I would be pushed forward into it, hurting my balls for 30 minutes!!!

The next day, our second visit was at a market place where we bought some souvenirs. There was also a guy called Sayed who sells natural oils, perfumes and plants. He would also make fake tattoos which would wash away after 15 days. My parents bought a lot of his perfumes and oils, but they didn't interest me...

The next day, our third visit was to see a Mosque, which is a place of worship for the followers of Islam, so it's a lot like a Church. It was really nice inside. We had to take off our shoes before going inside and women had to wear a hijab (I don't know why).

The next day, our fourth visit was on the sea on a boat, a visit which I didn't take part in since it involved diving and snorkeling and I don't know how to swim...

The last 3 days we didn't visit anything, so we stayed in our rooms chatting, doing nothing or just sleeping.

Dinner was like lunch we would get our food and eat.

Then every night at 10:00 PM there would be a theatre show in which the hotel's staff would do some great comical shows just making us die of laughter with their well written script and awesome parodies and jokes.

Last day we had breakfast then we went to the beach and then have lunch before departing to the airportby bus. Arrived there we waited for our flight like 1 hour. Then the plane finally arrived and we went to our seats. I fell asleep and woke up when we arrived. Again the plane lost some pressurisation, so I had the unpleasant surprise to wake up with my ears stuck...

Arrived at the airport we went home where we were terribly exhausted so we went to bed.

And that's my trip! Pretty fun wasn't it? To bad I didn't have my DS make it better, but oh well... Can't wait next year to go to London.

Also tomorrow school starts... what a bummer...

Merry Christmas Gamespot! And a Happy new year!!

I hope you guys had a great Christams, cuz mine was 50:50. First I got Guitar Hero World Tour, but I couldn't play it since I sent my Wii to Nintendo. Gonna play it next year (AKA 1 week).

Also I'm going to spend the rest of my vacation in Egypt, so you won't see me here until January the 7th.

    See ya all soon!

Yep. It overheated as now I'm getting those darn black and green pixels.

Looks like I have to call Nintendo.

But it's really strange it's happened to me since my Wii wasn't even bought on launch. I bought it on december of last year. My warranty has probably expired, lets just hope they fix it for free.

My Wii has WiiConnect 24 on, but I always turn my Wii off completely when I'm finished playing, except for some ocasions when like when I need to recharge my Wiimote batteries or my MP4 player.

Just how wide-spread is this problem anyway?

Yep, finally got it for 70 Euro fom a friend (used). She also gave Animal Crossing: Wild World, which I can proudly say I am addicted to and I can't wait for the Wii iteration, and Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends.

I am really enjoying it and I am looking forward to many more DS games. The first DS games on my to-buy list are:

    - Resident Evil: Deadly Silence

    - Guitar Hero: On Tour

    - New Super Mario Bros.

I am the type of gamer who loves every genre, so if there is a game that you would recommend me getting, please feel free to leave a comment on what should I get.

Got it at GameStop for 40 euro:

My first guitar hero. Now hopefully I have enough time until december to train for a national tournament. The big prize is 80.000 euro!

I know, I know... I should have waited for World Tour, but I couldn't get it for 2 reasons:

    1) I don't have 200 euro to pay for the game.

    2) I have no space in my room for the drums.

I'll just have to wait until next year to get it.

... and almost got in trouble with the police!

How, you may ask, read on to find out.

I was playing Hide and Seek with a friend on his street. The time was 9.00 PM. It was my turn to look for him. Not knowing the street well, I ended up looking in a private parking place in the back of a small building. Then I heard a scooter coming this way. The driver approached me and asked me:

DRIVER: "What are you doing here? Who are you?"

ME: "I was playing Hide and Seek with a friend."

    DRIVER: "And where is he?"

ME: "Well, I was looking for him."

    DRIVER: "Where do you live?"

    ME: "Far." (LIES!!)

DRIVER: "Then how did you get here?"

    ME: "By bus."

DRIVER: "And where does your friend live?"

    ME: "On this street."

DRIVER: " Ok, then lets look for him."

*We go back on the street. We see my friend coming down on the street*

ME: "There he is! He's the one with the white pullover."

DRIVER: "Ok, but never play here again, understand?"

    *I left*

That's it. By the looks of it, he thought I was a thieif and he wanted to call the police. Luckily my friend was on the street and so he understood what was really going on.

Boy, I was about to get in trouble with the POLICE. I was lucky this time...

Best RPG I've played since Final Fantasy VIII. The game is a true masterpiece that every RPG fan should play (and no I haven't played it before. This was the first time I ever played it.). Anyone who diagrees is just a fanboy or a retro-games hater.

I loved every minute of the game. It had good combat mechanics, good humor, very good soundtrack, one of the best SNES graphics ever, and most importantly: it was lots of fun.

If you don't have this game on the VC or on the original SNES, THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Get this game immediately as you will rarely experience something like it!

Next game on my download list is MegaMan 9.

This is too good to be true! I found this on GamePro (Link).

    ---

"Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, always the outspoken gaming exec, on Monday teased that Nintendo was indeed working on a Wii storage solution, with the cryptic caveat that it would be "better than" a hard drive.

The remarks came in an interview with a Latin American publication, which was graciously translated and corroborated by Nintendo fan site GoNintendo. In the interview, Fils-Aime poured cold water on the Wii hard drive rumors--effectively killing them off for good--and said the company will come up with something better.

Wired's Chris Kohler notes that the best solution would be to "just integrate the SD card reader that's already in the Wii into the console's available storage, treating it as if it were a seamless extension of the flash memory inside each console."

It would be an inexpensive fix, and would surely be welcomed by the many Wii owners who no doubt purchased large SD cards already.

Additionally, in that same interview, Nintendo development guru Shigeru Miyamoto reconfirmed that the slew of Nintendo first party Wii accessories is officially over."

    ---

Now I'm really interested! I wonder what could it be? I hope Nintendo lets us use the SD cards. They're smart and come up with a new copy protection sollution for SD cards.

Also, I'm happy Nintendo finished making accessories for the Wii. Motion Plus will be the last one! Now thay can concentrate more on making good games and concentrate less on useless accessories.

    All good news to me!
