It is quite possible that I will be away for a week or two starting on Sunday. I feel that it's the best time to go for various reasons, but there will be a few inconveniences. It is also possible that I will take my computer to the library so that I will be able to come online to post some things and maybe go on WLM. I will say later if I will be going.
Also, here are some more CDs I've bought...

Song: El cóndor pasa (If I Could)
Song: Roll Plymouth Rock
Song: Greek Song
Song: Highway 61 Revisited
Song: The MoveAlso (again), does anyone here know Tamil?
I can't stop listening to this Jeff Buckley album...

Starting with the 1st of December, the Auckland region seems to have made it to summer (I wonder why seasons aren't capitalised). For anyone who doesn't know, Auckland's summers are generally not exactly "very hot", but they are very humid, with humidity regularly going over 90% and to 100%. I hope that the humidity won't affect me too negatively. This summer I hope to go somewhere and do something different. I would like to go to the Sky Tower again to get some photos. Maybe I could also go to Auckland Domain and the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Like usual, I've got more CDs. I guess I'm addicted.

"Green River" by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Although the album has shorter and possibly more accessible songs than the previous album, it hasn't had the immediate impact of it, for me.
Bad Moon Rising
I really like this album. It even surprised me with a harder rock song.
Mojo Pin
"Danzig III: How the Gods Kill" by Danzig
When the Dying Calls
"Blonde on Blonde" by Bob Dylan
Double album for $7!
Rainy Day Women #12 & 35And here is some comedy from New Zealand if you're interested. Tell me what you think, if you check.
God dæg!

I recently went to buy some more music and this is what I bought:

"Bayou Country" by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Song: Penthouse Pauper
"Hotel California" by Eagles
Song: Life in the Fast Lane
Led Zeppelin IV
Song: The Battle of Evermore
"Two Suns" by Bat for Lashes
Song: Moon and Moon
"The Complete Collection" by Robert Johnson
Song: Preachin' Blues (Up Jumped the Devil)My favourite is most likely Led Zeppelin IV.
And here are my ten favourite Beatles songs:
1. I Am the Walrus
"Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan from standing in the English rain"2. Happiness Is a Warm Gun
"She's well acquainted with the touch of the velvet hand
Like a lizard on a window pane"3. You Never Give Me Your Money
"One sweet dream
Pick up the bags and get in the limousine"4. A Day in the Life
"He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the lights had changed"5. Strawberry Fields Forever
"Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.
It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me"6. Hey Jude
"And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder"7. Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!
"Mrs. K assures the public
Their production will be second to none
And of course Henry the Horse dances the waltz!"8. Golden Slumbers
"Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby"9. I'm Only Sleeping
"When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, I'm still yawning
When I'm in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream"10. Rocky Raccoon
"Now somewhere in the black mining hills of Dakota
There lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon"I could keep going, but I will leave it at ten.

I have just been reading through some of my old posts on my profile and it is very interesting! I have looked at my old styIe of commenting and noticed that it is very different to the way I comment now (and I would say better, as I don't seem as uncaring and annoying [though I never intended to be either]). Well, these things I was reading were generally from January 2008 because I was searching for a list of my favourite movies to post on another website.
Change is quite interesting (unlike my lack of synonyms for "interesting"). I often feel like a different person to the way I was in late 2007/early 2008, probably because I was just coming out of a long period of a strong lack of social interaction and I was not accustomed to conversation.
Let's digress!
I was never much of a social person. I started school in 1996 (Manurewa West Primary School - look it up, I dare you) and seemed somewhat like everyone else, but I have vague memories of the time. It was in 1997 that my ways seemed a little unusual. People were always in groups yet I gradually got out of groups and ended up walking on my own across the land of the school, frequently. I had a small group of friends throughout my school days, but it was often that I would be away from them while doing other things.
1999
Interesting (intriguing?) year. My teacher eventually let me do whatever I wanted to do, which usually involved reading in the corner while everyone was learning maths! (That may explain why I was never really good at it.) At the time it seemed like a good thing that I could do anything (well, not everything, of course), but as I think back on it, it doesn't seem like a very good thing to do. It was weird to go into 2000 having previously been free in the classroom, to see how things were different the next year. 2001 wasn't much different, actually. I was very interested in drawing at the time, and at one point I would say that I was good for my age (until everyone else began to increase their drawing skill while I still had the skills of a nine year old. I regularly drew pictures of monsters and several other things, but I gave that up once I got into intermediate school.
Intermediate school
2002 led to a big change in things. I had to do more work when I got to intermediate school and I became less social for a while. My first friend at the school became someone I really didn't like because of his actions (he was later expelled). I didn't do well in 2003, but I was a little better socially than in 2002. I may even have been at my social peak, but then, as I was having trouble at school, I and my family felt that correspondence schooling may be a good choice instead of high school (which might have been too much for me).
At home
I was then doing my school work from home and 2004 was the best school year I had ever had, I even received a prize of $150 from the school for doing so well. But, of course, it was at the sacrifice of social situations. I had one friend left over from school, but by the end of 2004 we stopped talking (although I tried to call). 2004 was the year when my personality headed towards a different direction (which I can't really describe). There are some things about myself I don't like to talk about (and maybe you can figure it out from this writing). In 2005 I became less social and had little exercise. I was at home most of the time, but I occasionally had some extra things to do.
The next house
In 2006, suddenly, I found out that we (the family) were going to be living somewhere else soon. When I was first told, I thought that it would be the kind of thing that would take about a year or something, or would never happen at all. But it happened about a week or two later. We stayed at someone else's (big) house for about one and a half months. The idea was that we were going to move to the North Shore to have improved lives, which would include going out more, having a bigger house, more money, and getting more exercise (and a few other things I won't mention). Ironically, almost the opposite happened and we, for the first time, owed money. I was having more exercise, though, but my social interaction lessened even more somehow.
2007 and beyond
For the second year in a row, something completely unexpected happened... While I was staying at my father's house for a planned week, I learnt that I would be staying for much longer. I have now been here for just longer than two years. These two years have had a big impact on the way I think and act. Finally, for the first time in years, I could communicate with people and make proper friendships (because I didn't have the Internet till I came here). The friendships I've made here are, for me, the best I've ever had. My old problem still persists, though. I don't know where to go from here and how to begin. I would like to travel somewhere because I have never been more than two hours outside of my current city. I remember growing up watching American movies and TV series and saw that their "vacations" to other states and countries were much more interesting than my two day "holidays" in the next city along. Even when I was at school people went to Australia in the school holidays. From those American shows I also saw so many "unusual" traditions which seemed as though they could be in New Zealand, but were not for reasons I could not explain. Ah, the memories of other people's imagined memories...
Let's stop digressing!
I feel that my big points of change were in 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2008. I wonder when the next change of perspective will occur. My average day is very boring (which is made more interesting by the people online). But till (and while) I have a more interesting and social life, I'll just stay positive!

I'm still having trouble with coming up with anything to write on here, so here are five photos I took while I was away:

Here is something I have been wanting to do for a while now. This is a list of ten of my favourite (not necessarily the top ten, but very close) pop and rock albums (this excludes rap, metal, hard rock, etc.). Also, there will be one album per band/singer. Here is the list:
Queen - A Night at the Opera [I would have used the first Queen album, but that's closer to hard rock]
Song: Seaside Rendezvous
Michael Jackson - Bad [and I do have Thriller and Off the Wall]
Song: Speed Demon
The Beatles - Revolver [it could change, but this is my current favourite]
Song: Eleanor Rigby
Klaus Nomi - self-titled [weird album]
Song: Lightning Strikes
Elton John - Honky Château [hard choice]
Song: Honky Cat
Shakira - Pies descalzos [another hard choice]
Song: Estoy aquí
Billy Idol - Rebel Yell (my only Billy Idol album)
Song: (Do Not) Stand in the Shadows
Jobriath - self-titled [some old glam rock]
Song: Rock of Ages [what a weird costume...]
Amaral - Estrella de mar [even has an eight and a half minute song without a chorus!]
Song: El centro de mis ojos
M.I.A. - Kala [recent purchase, but interesting album... and Foolz3h calls it rap]
Song: World Town
I have some photos from my camera from when I was away, so I will try to remember to upload them to show at some time soon. Here's my Last.FM profile again.

I have returned again. Had a good time. Bought some things. Here they are:
The Beatles stereo box set, "Kala" by M.I.A., "So Far, So Good...So What!" by Megadeth, "Laundry Service" by Shakira, Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life.
If only I could write something more interesting. Anyway, now I can get back to postin' on this GameSpot and talkin' on that Windows Live Messenger and checkin' that Last.FM (profile here).
What have I missed?

I am thinking about what I will do on the weekend. I could be gone for the weekend (which would mean I would have to wake up early), or I could go for the whole of next week (meaning that I wouldn't have to wake up early because I would go on Sunday instead of Saturday). It's been a while since I've last been to my mother's house, so that is why I'm thinking of going. I will write something before I go to say which I have chosen (that's if I actually go).

Now it is time for my answers to your questions (if you have asked any).
Zeromus1337 wrote:Many might claim you have an obsession with languages. Would you think this claim to be true? Would you consider the word "obsession" as one that can only be used in the negative sense? Do you perceive the word "obsession" being used in this question as something bad?
How long have you been practicing all your languages (aside from english)?
*What are your 5 favorite words in Spanish?
*In German?
*In Maori (If possible)
*What do the words mean, which you have selected?
If you had enough money, where are the first 5 places you would visit, anywhere in the world.1. It may be obsessive it times, but I can keep myself quiet about them if necessary.
2. I don't think that the word "obsession" is valid in only negative contexts.
3. I don't. I would probably use it to describe how I feel about some things sometimes.
4. I started with German back in 2007, so it's been about three years. I don't have much interest in German now.
5. My favourite Spanish words:- Árbol (tree)
- Bosque (forest)
- Canción (song)
- Corazón (heart)
- Fuego (fire)
I like nouns. I also like those words in English.
6. My favourite German words:
- Bär (bear)
- Gott (god)
- Ich (I)
- Katze (cat)
- Willkommen (welcome)
7. My favourite Māori words (just well-known ones here).
- Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud/New Zealand)
- Mana (from a dictionary: prestige, authority, control, power, influence, status, spiritual power, charisma)
- Taniwha (water spirit)
- Whānau (extended family)
- Whenua (land)
My German is very, very limited and my knowledge of Māori is limited to a few common words and phrases.
8. I would possibly go to the United Kingdom, Spain, Brazil, India, and Australia.

I was going to make a list of my GameSpot icons/avatars, but I'm almost past my bandwidth limit on Photobucket, so I will leave it till later. It was my birthday yesterday (5th of October). I didn't really do anything (partly because it was like a winter day and it's currently spring).
I have bought some more things:
"In Their Darkened Shrines" by Nile.
Sounds interesting so far, but I am not yet "into" it.Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007
Golf is possibly my favourite sport, so it's good that I've now got a golf game to play.Condemned 2
Action horror. Not exactly what I expected, but I'll see what happens in it.Scrabble Interactive 2007
I really don't like this, there seem to be no difficulty levels at all. It's as though it is stuck at "expert". I played against a very young beginner (in-game personality) who supposedly doesn't know how to play well, and he used "hewed" and "unitized" as first words. And, while I'm writing, I think I'll see if I can get some questions. Who has some questions to ask me? (Hoping for language ones.)
Gōd dæġ. Also, what do you think of my current GS avatar?

I bought a few things on the weekend,
Mass Effect
Interesting dialogue, but it tends to bore me if I'm half-playing, so I just play Viva Piñata instead.Soul Calibur IV
The second and third are two of my favourite fighting games, so I expected to like this as much. I'm not sure about liking it that much, but it is interesting, although the fighting isn't as fluid as it is in Dead or Alive 4 (which gets old very quickly)."Jazz" by Queen
I'm not really into the album completely yet, but some songs I like so far are Mustapha, Bicycle Race, In Only Seven Days, and Don't Stop Me Now."Empiricism" by Borknagar
I got it because it was cheap and I haven't heard much yet."Endgame" by Megadeth
For me, it's enjoyable, but I will have to listen more to find out if I'll prefer it to United Abominations.I have also been listening to Amaral, which was recommended by someone funny (*prepares armour*).
Now... I finally got to making a list of my ten favourite Queen (my favourite band) songs. I am also interested in which bands/singers/rappers/etc. are your favourites, so comment with your favourite (along with favourite songs) if you'd like to do it.
Here are my favourite Queen songs (and I even put them in order!):
1. The March of the Black Queen (so exciting!)
2. My Fairy King
3. The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke
4. Liar
5. Great King Rat
6. Bohemian Rhapsody
7. Love of My Life
8. Nevermore
9. The Prophet's Song
10. Death on Two LegsInterestingly, every one of those songs was written by Freddie Mercury. Also, does anyone else move in the way he moved?
Now I must hope that I got all the links right (not that anyone checks music links). Oh, and here's an Amaral song. Just 'cause.

Uh... I still haven't replied to the comments I got last time. I should try a little harder, but, anyway... I have been thinking of writing things for a while, but I never do anything about it. This time I will just post without a thought (haHA!).
I have done this once before, but here is a new one because I have more music than I did back then (and I have changed since then).
Never Meant by Alien Ant Farm
Best not to judge this band by their famous cover.Spiral Architect by Black Sabbath
I've kept this here, but it's somewhat depressing now (amusingly).Wait for an Answer by Blind Guardian
This is my second favourite song... and emotionally only my favourite song can surpass it.Glory of the Empire by Circus Maximus
Something not so well-known, but it never gets old.Surrounded by Dream Theater
I wish I could include a link to this upbeat song, but there are only live ones... and I don't really like Dream Theater live.Grey Seal by Elton John
One of my first Elton John songs, and after buying ten more of his albums I still like it.Token of Time by Ensiferum
The only extreme metal song on the list, but this one is unlike most extreme metal.Yggdrasil by Fejd
This band isn't well known, so here they are. They have free music on their official website, and this is my favourite of it.The March of the Black Queen by Queen
My favourite Queen song and very interesting. And now that that is done, here are two more links:
One to Zeromus1337's UCB, The 1337 Getaway.
And another to my Last.FM profile (which shows which music I've been hearing, and you can see that I have been listening to some of the songs on my list). You'll have to notify me of any incorrect links, for I'm about to sleep.

"Touched by the Crimson King" by Demons & Wizards
"Caribou" by Elton John
Shaun of the Dead
Fable IIFable II is very addictive... I have been playing it all day and I have just started to listen to music for the first time today. I bought the Game of the Year Edition so I won't need to download the extras. I'm sure that I had more to write, but I can't remember it. I must be tired.

Some time ago my Xbox 360 stopped working, but I left the sending of it back for later. It's been more than two weeks since I sent it back and I finally have it back. It is working now, but I have discovered that all of my game saves are gone. My Xbox Live profile, Guillotank, is gone as well (not exactly, but it can't be accessed again). I won't be able to get it back because I used an old email address and, through all of my tries, I can't get the password back. This means that I will have to play through all of my Xbox 360 games again to get back to where I was. It isn't all bad though, because this time I will use my frequently used email address so I won't forget the password. One problem I had with my old profile is that I got a bad rating through a misunderstanding. It is now gone and I can start again.
If only Xbox 360s could be more like PlayStation 3s... except for the lack of games of interest to me.

On Sunday I wanted to go to buy a new camera, and I did that. The problem was that the camera was not good for me, because the photos I took with it were either soft or blurry. I took it back today so I could get a better one, and that is what I did. My new camera is this, a Fujifilm Finepix S1500. It will be good to have a new camera for when I want to take photos of interesting things.
Here is where I live:

I have realised that Queen are my favourite band, so here are their first five albums:
Their first album is currently my favourite to hear, and it also possibly their heaviest album, with few or no hints of their later pop-rock like sound. The standouts for me are My Fairy King, Liar, and The Night Comes Down. Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll is one of their heaviest and fastest songs, and it is very interesting to hear.
Their second is somewhat similar to their first, but this one is split into two parts, which are the White side and the Black side. I like the White side, but I don't always listen to it, because, for me, the Black side is where it really gets going. The whole Black side was composed by Freddie and it's obvious from the styIe and lyrics. The Fairy feller's Master Stroke is one of my favourites, and has a harpsichord played in it as well. The March of the Black Queen is an epic song similar in structure to Bohemian Rhapsody.
Their third album has more of a "pop" feel to it than the previous two, but it's still got the heaviness in it. The most famous song from it is "Killer Queen", but I prefer songs such as "Flick of the Wrist", "Lily of the Valley", and "In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited". Stone Cold Crazy is possibly their fastest song of all and was later covered by Metallica (who altered the lyrics slightly).
A Night at the Opera is their most popular album and it features probably their most famous song (though that is arguable), Bohemian Rhapsody. It is a diverse album, and one interesting song to come from this diversity is Seaside Rendezvous.
After the last four albums, this one can seem subdued in comparison, and definitely not as heavy. The most similar song to what's on A Night at the Opera is "The Millionaire Waltz", but what is possibly my favourite is Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy.
I don't know how many of you like Queen, but maybe you would like something you haven't heard before from them.

I am going to list some facts about myself or facts which have some relevance to me.
- I live in Manukau City, Auckland, New Zealand. It is one of the biggest cities in the country.
- I have long, dark brown hair, but when I was younger my hair was short and blond. I last dyed it in September 2003.
- My eyes are blue-green. I would rather have pure blue or pure green eyes, but at least blue-green eyes are supposedly rarer.
- My mother is from Essex, England and my grandparents on that side are from London, England. I like to think that it makes me half English.
- I have been told that I have a somewhat distant Māori relative (who almost definitely isn't alive now).
- I can effortlessly switch between a New Zealand(er) accent and an English accent.
- I live in a house which was once used as a place for car sales (apparently), and it was also a farm.
- I live about ten minutes from the biggest airport in the country.
- My favourite accent is Received Pronunciation...
- I am open to music from many genres. I have in my music collection things from black metal to gangsta rap, pop to blues.
- My favourite Guns N' Roses album is Chinese Democracy.
- I use mainly two fingers when I type and I can reach speeds of up to about 70 words per minute.
- My first name is Richard, a Germanic name meaning something like "powerful leader" by Wikipedia's accord.
- My second name is John, originating from Hebrew, and it means "HaShem is gracious", again, by Wikipedia's accord.

ALSO, tell me if you want me to stop doing things such as "@kingkilla3". It sends a message to notify you of a reply, but I don't know if everyone wants that. I like it, though, so... continue with it.
