Purchases and My Favourite Beatles Songs (And Lyrics/Poem Written By Me)

    Here are the lyrics/poem.

I recently went to buy some more music and this is what I bought:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
"Bayou Country" by Creedence Clearwater Revival
    Song: Penthouse Pauper

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
    "Hotel California" by Eagles
Song: Life in the Fast Lane

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
    Led Zeppelin IV
    Song: The Battle of Evermore

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
"Two Suns" by Bat for Lashes
    Song: Moon and Moon

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
"The Complete Collection" by Robert Johnson
Song: Preachin' Blues (Up Jumped the Devil)

My favourite is most likely Led Zeppelin IV.

And here are my ten favourite Beatles songs:

    1. I Am the Walrus
"Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan from standing in the English rain"

    2. Happiness Is a Warm Gun
"She's well acquainted with the touch of the velvet hand
Like a lizard on a window pane"

    3. You Never Give Me Your Money
    "One sweet dream
Pick up the bags and get in the limousine"

    4. A Day in the Life
"He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the lights had changed"

    5. Strawberry Fields Forever
"Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.
It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me"

    6. Hey Jude
"And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder"

    7. Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!
    "Mrs. K assures the public
Their production will be second to none
And of course Henry the Horse dances the waltz!"

    8. Golden Slumbers
    "Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby"

    9. I'm Only Sleeping
"When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, I'm still yawning
When I'm in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream"

    10. Rocky Raccoon
"Now somewhere in the black mining hills of Dakota
There lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon"

I could keep going, but I will leave it at ten.

    Here's a Life Story!

I have just been reading through some of my old posts on my profile and it is very interesting! I have looked at my old styIe of commenting and noticed that it is very different to the way I comment now (and I would say better, as I don't seem as uncaring and annoying [though I never intended to be either]). Well, these things I was reading were generally from January 2008 because I was searching for a list of my favourite movies to post on another website.

Change is quite interesting (unlike my lack of synonyms for "interesting"). I often feel like a different person to the way I was in late 2007/early 2008, probably because I was just coming out of a long period of a strong lack of social interaction and I was not accustomed to conversation.

    Let's digress!

I was never much of a social person. I started school in 1996 (Manurewa West Primary School - look it up, I dare you) and seemed somewhat like everyone else, but I have vague memories of the time. It was in 1997 that my ways seemed a little unusual. People were always in groups yet I gradually got out of groups and ended up walking on my own across the land of the school, frequently. I had a small group of friends throughout my school days, but it was often that I would be away from them while doing other things.

    1999

Interesting (intriguing?) year. My teacher eventually let me do whatever I wanted to do, which usually involved reading in the corner while everyone was learning maths! (That may explain why I was never really good at it.) At the time it seemed like a good thing that I could do anything (well, not everything, of course), but as I think back on it, it doesn't seem like a very good thing to do. It was weird to go into 2000 having previously been free in the classroom, to see how things were different the next year. 2001 wasn't much different, actually. I was very interested in drawing at the time, and at one point I would say that I was good for my age (until everyone else began to increase their drawing skill while I still had the skills of a nine year old. I regularly drew pictures of monsters and several other things, but I gave that up once I got into intermediate school.

    Intermediate school

2002 led to a big change in things. I had to do more work when I got to intermediate school and I became less social for a while. My first friend at the school became someone I really didn't like because of his actions (he was later expelled). I didn't do well in 2003, but I was a little better socially than in 2002. I may even have been at my social peak, but then, as I was having trouble at school, I and my family felt that correspondence schooling may be a good choice instead of high school (which might have been too much for me).

    At home

I was then doing my school work from home and 2004 was the best school year I had ever had, I even received a prize of $150 from the school for doing so well. But, of course, it was at the sacrifice of social situations. I had one friend left over from school, but by the end of 2004 we stopped talking (although I tried to call). 2004 was the year when my personality headed towards a different direction (which I can't really describe). There are some things about myself I don't like to talk about (and maybe you can figure it out from this writing). In 2005 I became less social and had little exercise. I was at home most of the time, but I occasionally had some extra things to do.

    The next house

In 2006, suddenly, I found out that we (the family) were going to be living somewhere else soon. When I was first told, I thought that it would be the kind of thing that would take about a year or something, or would never happen at all. But it happened about a week or two later. We stayed at someone else's (big) house for about one and a half months. The idea was that we were going to move to the North Shore to have improved lives, which would include going out more, having a bigger house, more money, and getting more exercise (and a few other things I won't mention). Ironically, almost the opposite happened and we, for the first time, owed money. I was having more exercise, though, but my social interaction lessened even more somehow.

    2007 and beyond

For the second year in a row, something completely unexpected happened... While I was staying at my father's house for a planned week, I learnt that I would be staying for much longer. I have now been here for just longer than two years. These two years have had a big impact on the way I think and act. Finally, for the first time in years, I could communicate with people and make proper friendships (because I didn't have the Internet till I came here). The friendships I've made here are, for me, the best I've ever had. My old problem still persists, though. I don't know where to go from here and how to begin. I would like to travel somewhere because I have never been more than two hours outside of my current city. I remember growing up watching American movies and TV series and saw that their "vacations" to other states and countries were much more interesting than my two day "holidays" in the next city along. Even when I was at school people went to Australia in the school holidays. From those American shows I also saw so many "unusual" traditions which seemed as though they could be in New Zealand, but were not for reasons I could not explain. Ah, the memories of other people's imagined memories...

    Let's stop digressing!

I feel that my big points of change were in 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2008. I wonder when the next change of perspective will occur. My average day is very boring (which is made more interesting by the people online). But till (and while) I have a more interesting and social life, I'll just stay positive!

    Five Photos

I'm still having trouble with coming up with anything to write on here, so here are five photos I took while I was away:

    The chocolate I bought.

One of my cats when he was hiding.

The same cat after he saw the other cat.

    "North Shore Leisure".

And across the road (and park) from it.

    Oh,
and listen to The Beatles. (Song(s) included there.)
