Which PS2 game should I buy next? HELP!!!!!!!!! AGAIN I'M CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!!

Hey. I am buying another PS2 game again very soon. But only one. Along with that, I'll be buying Lost Magic for the DS and Patapon for the PSP. So I can buy only one PS2 game. And the problem is that I want light hearted games like Jak or Ratchet and Clank. Please help me. The list is below. And remember- only one game.

1. Jak III

2. Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal

3. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

4. Jak 2

Please remember- dont name more than one game and name a game only from this list. Do NOT ask me to buy another console, as I already bought a new Gamecube last month as my kid brother broke my previous one.

Please help. Please tell me which game should I buy.

Three changes we would want in God of War 3...

God of War has been one of the best series till date. With brilliant gameplay, spectacular graphics, breathtaking story and presentation, and a epic and grand sound track, God of War has beome one of the most beloved gaming series till date. But can Sony pull of the same stunt for the fourth time with God of War 3? In God of War 1, it was loved because it was the first time one could have seen such a revolutionary game. In God of War 2, it was loved because it had a strong story and because the concept of GoW was still new to the world. GoW: COO was loved because, for the first time, we could experience the thrilling nature of Kratos on the PSP. But can Sony pull of the same stunt for the fourth time?

No. The story and the sound might be changing with every game, but the gameplay has to change becuase it will become repititive and the revolutioary nature will no longer exist. Sony will have to change the gameplay.

But how? How can we expect that SCEE/A will change the gameplay suddenly in the final game, when there was no change in the previous games.

We can. We can expect subtle changes in the gameplay. Here are three of them, which I might want to be there in GoW 3's gameplay:

1: COMBAT-

GOW

The combat is great. But it might get repititive...

In the previous games, the cobat has become dependant on button mashing and all you have to do is press the square or the triange button to defeat your foes. You can go through the game while sleeping- that repititive the combat has become. But Sony can do wonders with the new GoW game. The SIXAXIS has a motion sensor. We can fight with the help of motion sensor... Imagine- In the previous games, you used to dodge with the L1 button. But in the new game, you will have to use your real reflexes and move the SIXAXIS to dodge. There are thousands of things Sony can do with the SIXAXIS.

2: PUZZLES-

GOWII

The puzzles are basically combat based and very easy.

The puzzles in the previous games have been very easy. You understand what to do next on the first glance at your suroundings and most of the puzzles are combat based. In God of War III, Sony can increase the dificulty level of the puzzles and make them less combat based and make them more similar to, say- The Legend of Zelda...

3: BOSS BATTLES-

NDKDN ALSN

The boss battles are either less in number, or very easy.

The boss battles in the the first games were very less in number. And when they were played for the secod time, they did not seem to be as tough. The boss battles in the second game were a lot when it came to quantity but the difficulty levels were very easy. And same was the case with COO. But Sony can change this in the third GoW game. They can increase the quantity of the boss battles and can increase the difficulty level.

But even if, there isn't any change, we know that we will love the final instalment in the series.

God of War II Review

First things first- lets begin with the breakdown:

GAMEPLAY: 10/10

GRAPHICS: 10/10

STORY: 10/10

SOUND: 10/10

OVERALL: 10/10

THE GOOD: *Over the top violence still there. Makes the game more interesting. *The fighting combinations make the game more exciting and fighting enemies is all the more better. *Brilliant movie-like presentation. *Spectacular storyline... cliffhanging end is all the more better. *Brilliant sound track- almost better than the first. *The game is perfectly polished and well rounded.

THE BAD: *If you're searching for anything bad in this game, then I can tell you one thing- your search will be a failure.

REVIEW:

With the release of God of War, a revolution was launched in a lot of years in the gaming industry. The gameplay was hailed as the best ever and the presentation was said to be movie like. The story was so revolutionary, that many people said that whether it is books or movies or games, no thing related to entertainment could have had a better story. God of War was such a massive hit and such a big success that it was sure to have sequels. Apart from that, the first game ended with an assuring statement: 'Kratos shall return...'

GOWIIIMAGEI

Kratos is back... And he is angrier than ever before.

And so he did. Kratos returns to thrill the gamers with his over the top violence and blood curdling fighting techniques. As a new God of War was sent to Olympus, Kratos, who fears no mortal and respects no higher power, was ready to thrill the world of gaming once again. And he does this job perfectly.

God of War was succesful because of its all new revolutionary gameplay, its over the top violence, its story and its presentation. And God of War II has all of that- and some more.

The gameplay, to begin with, is as revolutionary as the first. The over the top violence is still there and there is even more blood when you rip your enemies apart by the help of your hands or your blades. The attacks of this game are even more exhilarating and powerful as you swing your blade over your head then bring it upwards from under your leg by bringing it around your back or sticking the sword to the ground and then bringing the second blade to the ground with full force. The combination attacks are even better than the first (and thats saying something) as you jump from your Pegasus on the back of a dragon and hang by its hair and fight a man who is kicking your hand. This is not all, there are more of these tight and crunch situations which are even more exhilarating. The only problem of the game is, which is almost insignificant, that even though the game is well rounded and perfect, it adds nothing new. It continues only what GoW1 did. But that really doesnt matter. Another problem, which again is insignificant because all other aspects of the game overshadow it, is that the difficulty level is much easier.

GOWIIIMAGEII

Kratos shall meet someone who he thought to be dead...

The situations in this game are much movie-like and much exciting and exhilarating. They are so exciting that in front of them, even the situations in God of War 1, which are considered to be the best ever, seem to be child's play.

The graphics of the game are as good as that in the first game though there are some situations where the game gives a chance to itself to show the brilliance of its graphics. They are well rounded and very brilliant.

The feeling of the game is very epic. Its scope is huge. It feels as if you're taking part in a grand epic story.

The presentation of the game is brilliant. Its better than the first (you might be laughing, but thats a fact) and not just movie like- in this game, it has been presented as a movie- it IS a movie. The story, again is better than that of the first one. Its so brilliant that the story of the first game seems to be crappy. The story is very brilliant and it provides more space for crunch and tight situations and better presentation and gameplay. I can tell you one thing about the story- it is brilliant such that it can never be replicated, even if it comes to a movie or a book. Its the best storyline I've seen in a lot of years.... I actually am out of words.

GOWIIIMAGEIII

Are you ready to fight while flying?

Coming to the conclucion of this long review, I can tell you only one thing- if you dont buy this game, it will be the worst mistake you can ever make in all your life.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Review

Get ready, as the GTA series returns- and in its fullest. This is probably the best game in the GTA series, as of now. The players say it, the critics say it, and so do I. GTA has returned with San Andreas and this game does a brilliant job in representing the spectacular series.

This game has probably everything to it- gameplay, graphics, sound. Though the story, which does not matter if you're talking about GTA, is a bit weak.

GTASAIMAGE

Ready to steel some more wheels?

The gameplay of the game is pretty much the same but still, its highly addictive and fun. And sometimes, because of the free roam, this game can get hilarious.

The missions of this game are better than most of them in the previous GTA games. The free roam provides much freedom. The cars are much better and so are all the other places. The bastketball courts are huge, the bars are fun, the restraunts are spacious and the houses are grand. San Andreas is probably the grandest and the most huge place the GTA series has seen.

The graphics of the game are pretty good. For example, you might be standing on the roof of your house while blowing up a helicopter and when the copter crashes into the ground, the explosion can be quiet stunning to see.

The sound of the game is much better than that of Vice City. When the game starts, the starting music can put a good first impression on you.

GTASAIMAGETWO

Get ready to shoot some gangsters.

The situations in this game are much better and more fun. They are more action packed, more fun and more tough. And much more better. The police in this game is less volatile.

So, basically, if you're mature enough to handle the violance and the abusive language, go for this game or you'll be missing something.

Final Breakdown:

Gameplay: 9.3/10

Story: 8.8/10

Sound: 9.0/10

Graphics: 9.7/10

Lasting Appeal: 9.8/10

Overall: 9.3/10

Shadow of the Colossus Review

Why would you want to be in a claustrophobic world with nothing but huge mountain like creatures to defeat under the dark and bleak sky? I just didnt understand the concept and the premise of the game. The game's very bleak and depressing and leaves you with a heavy heart once you turn your PS 2 off. The difficulty level is immensly tough and maybe even tougher than Zelda (and that's saying aomething). One of the worst things about the game is that there are no other enemies other than the collosi. All you have to do is ride on horseback from one place to another and kill giants. The controller isnt very responsive. The graphics may be good and rising on horseback was one of the few strong points of the game.

SOTCP

Are you ready to fight this hairy brute?

But the game is not all black. It has some good qualities. For example, the colossi fights, which are thrilling, exciting and long lasting. The fights might be very long and tiring, but the thrill and the excitment cover up for it. You might say that the fights are quite repititive. All you have to do is climb up the back of a mountain sized beast and stab it on some points. But oh! The difficulty levels are so high, that you forget everything else! And for every creature, the stratergy changes every time for how to kill it, but the basic concept remains the same.

Now, you might say, that fighting colossi is what the game is about. But no. the lack of other small time enemies and puzzles and objects make the game quite boring. And it takes such a long time to find the colossi and all you have to do is press 'X' and ride forth. And with no enemies for action, no puzzles for thinking, and no jumps and climbing for excitment, the game gets boring. And all the bad qualities cover up for the good ones.

SOCIMAGE

Get ready to go on a breathtaking adventure with just your sword and your horse!

But for all those bad things, the game is highly exciting during the battles. Whenever you defeat a colossus, a feeling of a personal victory runs in you. The battles are exciting and thrilling and long. And after finishing the colossi, I might turn my PS2 off and say for some time, 'Oh! This game isnt bad!' But then, you wouldnt want to play again because of the bleakness of the game. But when you sit down, you dont want to leave your controller. Quite contradictory, I must say.

The sound quality of the game is spectacular. It is very epic and movie like and rythmic. It perfectly matches the situations and blends with the gameplay.

Even though there are other humans in the game which make the world less dreary and despressing, it still is depressing. And yes, the in game movies which start after beating about seven colossi, are also pretty goos. The presentation of the game is spectacular.

But why do I give it a low score (relatively) if it is such a great game? Okay, I agree this is a good game, but 'tis depressing and bleak and leaves a patch on your soul, for all its excitment. And another bad thing about it is this: when you are playing it, you love and just want to keep playing more. And when you are not playing it, you might not like it and would not want to play it again. But for every good thing, you have to pay something. This cannot, obviously match the likes of God of War and Zelda but still, its a good game with depressing and grand presentation. With a brilliant sound score which s very movie like and grand again. Nice gameplay with exciting battles. And a claustrophobic world which is greatly epic.

In short, this is a great game.

Final Breakdown:

Gameplay: 9.3/10

Graphics: 9.0/10

Story: 8.7/10

Sound: 8.8/10

Lasting Appeal: 8.4/10

Overall: 8.8/10
