19May 08I can't believe I'm actually finally going to do this blog fad thing, but I'm pretty bored right now, and have some time off. The title practically says it all, you can ask me any questions that you want as long as they are in the GS ToS, and I'll answer them. Also, no school tomorrow!

15May 08It looks like now CNET and GS also are going to be part of an ever bigger company: CBS. I just now read and found out about this. Perhaps this will bring about new changes, for the good, or perhaps nothing will happen at GS. Here's the article that I read:
CBS Corporation just announced an agreement to buy CNET for $1.8 billion dollars. Through the deal, all of CNET's network sites, including GameSpot, TV.com mp3.com, CNET news.com, UrbanBaby, CHOW, Search.com, BNET, MySimon and TechRepublic all become property of CBS.
CBS' existing online network already includes CBS.com, CBSSports.com, CBSCollegeSports.com, MaxPreps.com, CBSNews.com, last.fm, Wallstrip, MobLogic, and the CBS Radio and CBS Television Stations digital media
platforms. CBS says its distribution net, the Audience Network, comprises 300 partner sites and reaches 82% of U.S. web users.
"CNET Networks operates some of the most important premium online brands, serving the most sought after online audiences," said CNET CEO Neil Ashe. "Today's announcement brings together two organizations that complement each other and working with Leslie, Quincy and the talented people at CBS, we look forward to taking our business and our brands to the next level."*There's some more information if you want to read the details about purchases and what the CEOs of the companies think about this if you click on the link. *

15May 08Well in 10 more school days, I'll finally be out of school and for me the summer will officially start. With just 10 more days left, I won't be posting as much till the rest of the year is over. I've got final exams to worry about and a lot of projects that I'm going to have to work on for a while. Just out of curiosity, is it just me, or is the last month of school when teachers go crazy and start giving out tons of projects and tests? To me it really seems like it since I've got like 4 projects, several tests, and then the final exams.

12May 08Radiant Silvergun: an excellent top-down shooter for the Sega Saturn by Treasure. Apperently I'm that now, after a year and a bit less than 5 months. I don't really care much about my level at GS, but I'm a little bored right now, so I've decided to show you some of my stats:
Total Messages Read: 13,598,779
Total Posts: 15,433 Profile Views: 2669 (yeah I know, kind of low for being a member this long
)
Unions I'm officer/leader in that have made top 25 views: The Elder Scrolls Fan Union and Club Whatever
Total Emblems: 18 (although two of them disappear quite often)
Well the rest of the stats are ones that either I don't care much for or you can see in the stats tab. In other news, my idea of making images with Paint may be forgotten soon, because I might be getting Photoshop now, due to a friend. If I get that, then I'll skip straight to using that since it's better. -
11May 08Well soon, since the summer is almost here, and I'll be out of school, I've decided it's time to re-do my entire profile. I've had the same banner and blog header for about a year now, and they are getting pretty old, especially since I'm playing other games besides Halo 3. I'm still thinking on what my next theme should be, but I'm going to try to make it not about about some game this time. Also, after over a year of having the same avy, I'm finally going to switch it to something else that goes along with whatever theme I choose. Now out of curiosity and to get ideas, I'm wondering what do you guys think my next profile theme should be?
Besides new images and such, in the summer I'm going to try reviewing a couple games. So far I'm thinking of doing a review for Halo 3, Mass Effect, and GTA IV (once I get and play it). I might end up getting one more though, so don't think this is all I will review.
Finally, I'm going to try focusing more of my attention mainly to the boards that I post in frequently and I'm going to resign from a few unions that I never go to or are dead nowadays. If I am in your union and post at least once a day or so, then don't worry, since those are the boards that I am going to keep. Well this is pretty much what you guys can expect to see in a while, and if I kept on going then you guys would get bored of reading this so I'm going to end this blog here.

8May 08After over a year of being here, and seeing so many people that can make such awesome sigs, I'm finally thinking of learning how to do the same thing myself. I've never been one to like having to request to people to make me some kind of image, and I want to learn how to make my own from now on. However, what has kept me from doing this in the past, is money. I know that I could probably find photoshop or something for free but that is illegal and I don't want to do that. Instead, I've thought about using Paint as my way to make sigs and other images!
I'm sure some of you might be thinking that it is impossible or really hard, to make a decent sig with Paint, but I'm still going to try it. I already have Paint, and I have seen one user in another site, that can make pretty good sigs that seem almost as if they were made from Photoshop, use only Paint. It might take a while (maybe even like a month), but I'm going to try to make some sigs with Paint. -
6May 08Well I really wasn't expecting this, especially since I thought this blogging fad went away, but anyways, I got tagged by Spartan_385. It seems like this time around though, you have to list 7 songs you are listening to and tag 7 people. Well anyways here's some songs I'm listening to:
1. Ozzy - Crazy Train
2. Bob Marley - Exodus
3. Ozzy - Dreamer
4. Guns N' Roses - Paradise City
5. Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
6. Bob Marley - Three Little Birds
7. Linkin Park - Bleed It Out

4May 08Well when GTA IV was about to come out, like with almost every game that has a lot of hype, I started hearing a lot about it here and when playing xbox live. I've never owned any GTA game, but I've played all of the games in the series, and thought to myself "maybe GTA IV will be the first GTA game that I actually own." Like always though, I've never pre-ordered games before, and well, now I've got to wait until I can find it at either Wal-Mart or EB Games.

Normally, I don't mind waiting a bit to get a game, but this time, I played the game at a friend's house, and since then I've been wishing I had pre-ordered it. The game was so awesome! While playing it the first thing I did was get a rocket launcher, and shoot someone with it. I couldn't find the body after I shot the poor civilian though. All I found was ashes!
It was so cool messing around exploring, in the game. I can't wait to get it!
In other news, I've been playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 still, although the game is starting to get boring since all my friends now play GTA IV. I'm almost a major in the game, and will probably be one the next time I play it a bit. Also, in like two weeks or so I'm going to have to start studying for exams, so expect my activity to drop quite a bit soon. -
1May 08Well today is sad, for those that don't already know, _veDnoR was banned today. Here's his profile page:
_veDnoR
It's sad, since he was a pretty cool user, but I guess he must have done something wrong. I'm not sure what he did, but hopefully I'll be able to find a way to contact him and ask him what he did wrong here. -
28Apr 08
Well like you read in my last blog, I've been wanting to get rid of the random users that are in my friends list. Well I finally did it!

It took a while (especially due to glitchspot, not showing everyone in my friends list the first time I went through and got rid of random users) but I've now cut by 74 users and only have 71 people in my friends list. There were several more users that I could have cut, but I didn't want to loose contact with them since I knew them and they might return to GS someday.
Now I just have to wait for GS to update this and get rid of the random blogs that for some reason still show up in my profile.

27Apr 08
Well I've thought about it before, but now, I'm thinking of actually going and deleting some users that are in my friends list here at GS. I used to always track anyone that was tracking me, but nowadays, I only track those that I know. There are a lot of random users in my friends list because of this.
The main reason why I'm thinking of doing this is because I've started noticing that I wasn't getting updates on my friends here that made blogs due to all the blogs from random people that I don't know. Some of the peoples blogs that I do want to post at haven't been showing up in my updates, due to the random blogs from random users I don't know. It is getting kind of annoying.
I'm sorry to those who think I don't post in their blogs, since oftentimes it's because they don't show up in my updates.

23Apr 08
Well it took a while, but I finally decided to do a review here on GS. Since I've been playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 so much, what better game to do one on, than that?
Here it is. What do you guys think of it? -
22Apr 08Well I've seen a couple people in the past that have interviewed other users in GS before, so I've been thinking "maybe I could also interview some of the people that I know here in GS as well." It would probably be a weekly blog post with a new interview around every friday (sometimes before or a little after friday depending on how fast I got answers from users). What do you guys think about this idea? yay or nay?

16Apr 08Well for those that still remember or care, a few months ago, The Elder Scrolls Fan Union, a huge union in GS left GS. Since we have left GS, the new site that we made has been great and such, but the union here started to rapidly decline, with the lack of attention. Nowadays, the union is kind of dead, but today several of the officers and I have decided to revive this "branch" of the union again! For the time being, I am going to be the leader of the union, and work with updating the entire union!

So for as long as I have known this place, GS has always had glitches. There have been times when the levels stop working for a while, the profile views don't work, you would post and every word was together, etc. Right now however, GS is really being glitchy and it is getting annoying. Often, I'll go to a thread and when I click on the thread I see no posts. I'll have to click again to get the thread working correctly, and that has been getting on my nerves. Also, due to deleting posts, a lot of threads are becoming really glitched since it messes up the views. Then there are the blank messages, which has always gotten on my nerves, especially when I take the time to make a good written response to something, only to see that my response is blank and I have to re-write everything.
I wish GS would do something about this. Don't shut off the forums for an hour "maintenance" if all that is going to happen is some of the bugs get fixed for a few days. I would prefer GS to shut down the entire site for several days if needed, in order to fix the majority of glitches well and to know that they won't be returning anytime soon, than to have an hour maintenance that does very little.

13Apr 08
Well I finally made it to the 5 digits everyone. It took quite a while, but finally I'm there. There's several people I'd like to thank, for posting with me, since without them I would never have gotten this far. I won't name anyone since I'll accidentally forget someone in the list, but you guys know who you are.
For those that are wondering where the party is at, look here.

11Apr 08Well not really, but while I was checking out the list of unions that I'm in, I found out that somehow I was leader of a small, dead union. I don't know how I got leadership, but after I checked out the place, I noticed that the last post was made in October, so since there were only 10 people in the union, I decided to re-model it. I plan to make it a nice board to have conversations on. Here's a link to the union, if anyone is interested in checking out the place. It's quite barren right now however, so don't expect much, until I get a couple members and some officers.

Well recently I've had quite a lot of games to play, with all the great games that came out last year and this. It's gotten to the point where I sometimes feel overwhelmed by how many games I have to play right now, and the huge list of games that I still haven't even played. Still, it's great knowing that I always have some game to play! The main games I've been playing recently are Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (X360): Almost since the game has come out, I've been playing it. I've already beaten the story on single player several times on realistic, and beaten all the terrorist hunts in realistic. Mainly I just have the multiplayer, which is the best part of the game, to play. Rank wise for those of you that may be interested knowing, I'm a second liutenant, although I would probably either be a first liutenant or captian if my rank had not been reset (it sucked, it took a while to get back to second liutenant).
COD 4 (X360): Basically since January, I've been playing this game. I already beat the story twice, once on casual and then again on veteran. I also found all the intels (after searching forever), so I get to mess around with cheats whenever I feel like it. Now for the online part. I love the online in this game! It is near perfect! I've gotten to level 32, second prestige in the game.
Mass Effect: Well a few months into January I ended up buying this game. I've already beaten the game once, and I'm currently doing my second playthrough, as a soldier.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (wii): For Christmas, I ended up getting a wii, and along with it, I got this game. I've always been a Zelda fan, and have played most of the games. With the wiimote however, this game was really different than the usual Zelda games. So far, I'm about 3/5 of the way done with the story, although I also have a lot of the extra stuff to do still.
