That's right everyone, I'm going to start doing interviews again. For those wondering, several months ago I used to randomly interview some users and post up their interviews. I quit after I stopped being as active but I'm going to start them up again.

To start it, I'm wondering who would be interested in being interviewed. I'll be posting the interviews in my union, although anyone that wants has the possibility of being interviewed.

So I'm thinking of getting a new profile theme since I haven't changed in a long time, and am wondering what should it be about?

Today was my first day of school this year... It was boring and after the first hour I was ready to leave. I ended up waking up an hour earlier than I normally do since I couldn't sleep and then couldn't go back to sleep so I was kind of tired at the end of the day. Oh well, it was fun seeing friends.

Well after an 8 hour drive, I've finally made it back home. I had a lot of fun in Atlanta and saw some pretty cool places. Also I got to meet more of the family, and such. Well I'll end here since I don't want to bore you all.

Well it's almost New Years and I can't wait. I'm going to Atlanta for the first time ever, for New Years to be with some relatives. It's going to be fun, and I'm going to meet some new cousins.

For those wondering, I'll be gone from the December 30 to January 4th.

So this year was the first time I've not gotten a game for Christmas, and it's striking me right now. It's around this time that I get bored and without a new game to play there's not much to do.

I'm thinking about using some of the money I got to buy a game, but I can't really think of what game would be worth purchasing for the X360. I've had my eye on Fallout 3 but I hear that once you beat the game you can't do anything except start a new game and that has kept me from buying the game so far. I like games that can last a very long time (at the minimum 100 hours), and any game that has really good online is something I'll consider. So my question to you all is do you have any games you'd recommend?

I just now noticed I leveled up and have been on the site all day. Wow, I miss the old layout where it would show your level and percentage at the top of each page with your name and all that. I at least knew then what level I was.

Well yesterday night, I got the idea of downloading a movie through xbox live since I had never done it before and was curious. I must say, I was a little disappointed when I found out that it was going to take 3 hours to download it, and ended up not being able to watch it in the night like I had planned. Then, something very ironic happened that made me feel like doing one of NFS's *facepalms* just as there was about 91% already downloaded onto my X360, I noticed that I could still watch the movie while it was downloading. Just as the download was almost finished, I discovered this, and it kind of made me laugh (and get mad too).

Well it's too late to undo the past, and at least I learned from it. Today I'll probably watch the movie since it's just sitting on my X360's hard-drive.

*for anyone curious what movie it was, I was downloading the high-def version of Get Smart on XBL*

Well I'm looking for new music, and will listen to just about anything, as long as it's good. I mainly listen to older rock music (The Police, Rush, Beatles, etc.) but I'm willing to listen to different stuff.

Well I opened my presents this morning and got quite a lot. I mainly got some clothes from American Eagle and Under Armour.

Aside from the clothes though, I also got this cool work-out bar thing called Iron Gym, I'd post a picture of what it looks like but I'm too lazy to find a picture and post it. Basically the thing can be put up and be used to do pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups, and dips, so it's pretty handy.

The last thing that I got was a Pioneer A/V Reciever. The thing is basically like a surround system, but it can also be used as stereo, and is made to work with a lot of things. I also got two really high quality speakers that came with it, which will probably be what I use to listen to music now. It has replaced the $120 computer speakers that I have always used to listen to music. The system will be in my room though, while the computer speakers will stay on my computer which is in a different room anyways.

Well NFS102 and I decided on giving each other a sig today as like a Christmas present, and here's what I got:

Right now I'm using the second one, although which do you think I should use? I haven't made up my mind on which to stay with.

Well since the forums in GS are currently down, I've been checking stuff at TV.com out, and I must say, their new site layout is extremely nice. They also had a change in the way the site looks, and in my opinion, they upgraded a lot. The profiles in the site are really quick, and simple enough for someone like me. I kind of wish GS had made their layout a bit more similar to the one in TV.com since it is very well-made.

Well I forgot to make a blog about this on friday (actually, truth is I was too lazy to bother going to the profile to do it since it loads so slow). Well anyways, Christmas Break has started for me and I won't go back to school till January 5th. I don't know what I'll do for the first half, but I already know that I'm going to Atlanta for New Years!

Yay! Today's one of those days. Normally I don't like missing school, but I had quite a lot of work to do, which I'm getting out of now. Well I'm still unsure how I'm going to spend the day.

OMG! I'm back! Thanksgiving Break went by too fast, but it was lots of fun, I got to do lots of cool stuff and had a good time with relatives. Also, I got a new emblem just now:

It's the first time I've gotten one in a loooooong time. *faints*

Well Thanksgiving is on its way and I'd like to say to all a Happy Thanksgiving since I won't be here that day. I was going to write this blog tomorrow, but I don't have much time, so I'll post it now. On Wednsday I'm going to begin my long and exciting journey on the back of a car driving to Wisconsin to see some relatives for the holidays. It's going to be like 5 days of fun up there with some cousins and I'll probably return on Sunday or Monday.

I was going to post this tomorrow like I already mentioned, but I'm loaded with work that needs to be completed before the break starts since I won't be able to work on it while at Wisconsin. Well aside from that, have a good Thanksgiving everyone!

I downloaded the new update that completely changes the dashboard for the Xbox 360 yesterday. I must say, aside from a few things, it's pretty nice. For the first time, like 60% of the new stuff I've liked. It's better than the usual 20% in most updates.

I really like how it's possible to chat in a group now. I can recall tons of times that I've joined a group of friends' game only to be on the opposite team and only be able to talk with one at a time. This is by far the best thing about this update in my opinion, it's extremely nice being able to talk to all your friends at once even when playing different games.

My second favorite thing about this update has got to be the new guide. It reminds me of the old dashboard, but is smaller and can be accessed while playing games easily. Now it won't be necessary for users to go to the main dashboard as frequently.

Aside from this, the other features are alright. The Netflix feature seems neat, but I doubt I'll ever use it. Still, for those that plan to use it, this will be a much faster way to get movies without having to wait until they are arrive with the mail. Aside from the uniqueness of this new opportunity, there are some downside to it from what I have read. Certain locations will not support this new feature, which will hopefully be changed in the future.

Some of the other features that I also think are nice are seeing what other games people are playing, since now it shows all the avatars playing just "xxx" game. Also, I like how you can view things going from right to left instead of having to go to something, press A, and wait a few seconds for it to load. Now you can basically view almost everything at once.

Now while this update is by far the best, there are some things that I really don't like about it. The main one is the avatars. It's kind of cool, and I like how they will be integrated with some games but I already have a feeling that Microsoft is going to use these avatars to make money. Something tells me that pretty soon when more clothing and items become available for the avatars, it will cost microsoft points to get the items, and I've already noticed that the few games that have integrated avatars into them already cost just as much as any other arcade game. I guess that is to be expected, but it would still be nice to have something to do with the avatars that won't cost money.

While on the subject of the avatars, many people have complained about the avatars being copied from the Miis for the Nintendo Wii, so I will give my view on the matter. I've got both an Xbox 360 and a Wii, so I've been able to use both, and in my opinion, to a certain extent the avatars are better for certain things, like being able to give them various items and such, but are also worse in that a lot of facial customization is limited. I have always loved how with the Nintendo Wii you can customize your Mii's to the point where they can look extremely weird, with messed up faces, or even look as your favorite character from a TV show, game, etc. Perhaps it's just me, but I see the avatars as less customizable in actual facial looks. I won't claim the Mii's to better than the avatars, especially since it's too early to see what Microsoft will do with these avatars, but I do see the Mii's and the Wii in general to be a success, considering it managed to make Microsoft create something similar.

The other feature that I see as pointless is the installing games to your hard drive feature. While it seems like a good idea at first, since it does actually reduce load times in games and gets rid of lag, it also takes a TON of memory. I checked out in another website a list that showed for several games, the amount of memory that would be taken by installing it to the hard drive, and how much the performances would be improved in the games. For some games, I noticed that it did cut load times by half and get rid of almost all lag, however, the average amount of memory it took for most of the games shown on the list was about 5 to 6 GB. For a user such as myself with just the regular 20 GB hard drive, installing just one game would take about 25% of the hard drive's memory (this is saying if the game were to be about the size that I mentioned earlier). There are even some other games that I've seen that take anywhere from 10 GB to 20 GB of memory on the hard drive when you install them. For those curious to see a list for most games, here is a link.

Needless to say however, aside from a few new features, the new Xbox 360 dashboard seems to be a very nice improvement, and by far the best one that Microsoft has done.
