Finished my MGS Marathon

Yay, now all I got to do is wait til Thrusday. Actually got the day off, so just can't wait. I played through Metal Gear Solid, MSG3, then watched Twin Snakes, and finished off with MGS2 in that order. After playing through I saw a few things I haven't sene before story wise. Even understand what was happening in MGS2 even more. Just seeing some parts of the trailers for 4 helped that. Also seen mentoins (tho not direct) of the Patriots in MGS. Would like to share more, but hate to spoil for anyone that may find their way here. (lol tho unlikely) Anyways just can't wait till Tursday now.

Metal Gear Solid Marathon!
Well getting all ready for Metal Gear Solid 4, I decided to revisit the series as I'm sure some are doing. So having Essentials I plan to play through all the Solid series again (eh and read over the briefing for Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. . don't know if I'm up to playing through those). Going to start with MGS for the playstation, then MGS3, then Twin Snakes(might just rewatch the cenimatics instead of playing through . .still to be decided here), and finish off with MGS2. Then hopefully jump right in to MGS4. So how is everyone getting ready for June 12th?

Achievment Unlocked: Four Hardware Failures
I just had my Xbox 360 produced by MICROSOFT come down with a bad fever. Flashing the oh great three red lights. So this would be my fourth time getting this resolved, meaning I will be on my fifth system after this is settled. Also each time, it seems it is taking longer and longer for the coffin . .I mean the pre paid shipping box to get to you; even more time getting your system back to you after you send it. Ont top of that, you have to go through . .which has to be the most annoying .. automated system ever conceived just to get to talk to a service representative that you can hardly understand. I am getting so close to selling all my 360 stuff now and solely committing to the PS3 and my much neglected Wii. Sorry I'm just trying to find a place to vent this. Honeslty what would you do?

TGS is comin to a close.

To be honest I really wasn't following as well as I used to. I just couldn't let that gator thing sit here at the top any longer.

Tho Seen some great things with this year's TGS. Sony had my attention than most. Dual Shock 3 is sounding nice, er and obvious. Come on . .with a new MGS trailer what do you expect? So ofcourse Metal Gear anything will grab my attention, that they had a full working demo for most to play got me more interested. Seen some real good gameplay videos around. (I also have my fingers crossed that the demo with hopefully hit the PSN . .tho not holding my breath) Also seeing Metal Gear Online was a great addition as well. Plus now I got Loco roco for the ps3 that I' actually considering on getting.

I've seen more that has been getting me excited for games, (even Halo had a nice co op in game showing using the record feature . .but more on that later with the big week coming up) but this is all I can think to share at the moment.

Gator attack(rather defending its home) close to my home, and why I can't sleep.

*warning . . .I guess this can be semi gorey*

Ok I live on a campground and right next door . .literally is a Naval Recreation campground right by us. I have been working all yesterday . . .and didn't know about what happened until today because we are getting non stop phone calls here.

Turns out yesterday a guy decided he wanted to snorkel in the lake. Not just in the lake but in an area you have to be stupid to step foot in. It's a semi enclosed area . .and well that is where wildlife would gather to live. So I heard yesterday a group saw a this guy splashing around . .luckily this group had nurses with them. The guy got to the shore, and he had one of his arms ripped off. First right now . .at least last I heard he is alive and well . . .and can't clap. Still not certain if he was in the catch and realease pond they have over there, or the cove on the other side . . .either way it isn't a bright idea to go in the water on either side. If it was in open waters . .then it would be a different story of sanity.

So after this DNR (which patrols the lakes and such in this area) located a pretty big size gator, killed it, cut it open and sure enough the guys arm was in there. Please don't think me as harsh, I do value human life high and worry about the guy . . .but he was extremely stupid to swim in the area he did. If I could I'd smack him with the arm he lost. I used to work where this happened, and even seen the gator before that just hung out there basically not bothering anything. Anyways since this happened pretty much next door I have been getting phone calls none stop from both people we know and don't know asking about it like it happened right here.

Anyways I used to work at this place (it was so close I could roll out of bed and into work . .so that was nice) and I even seen this gator while I worked there. I might try to go over there later if I can, and try to get some pictures of the area. Anyways .. know this doesn't happen everyday so figure I share it. If there are any questions or any thoughts you have just leave a commit and I'll try to respond to them the best I can. In the end tho I do hope this guy gets better for his and his family's sake. I also apologize if this blog is a bit scattered in thought, I'm still pretty tired.

. . .. also this story just made CNN

Being Random at its Finest

Well been a great while since I put a blog down . .due to work and various other factors. Had a long random thought period today with some nice discoveries, so thought I share it.

**Warning . . . .I was tired when this was typed**

Well started off chatting with some friends on the PC. Now earlier in the week I bought a new Xbox Live starter kit since my subscription was about to go up. I kinda wanted the Live cam for reasons I still don't understand . .so yeah I got the 360 starter kit. Since I was on the PC today I figure I try the cam out just to see if it does work on the PC even tho I already heard it did. So I open up this new start kit I probably had since my Gold account expired on the 10th. I tried the cam, and it works great. On this thought I went back to my room to realised I left my Xbox 360 on, so I entered the codes that cam with it for Uno, Robotron, and the 200 points. After this I saw a friend on and sent a message as a joke as my random thoughts go. In this I mentioned I still had an urge to watch Kung Pow(yeah confusing to some but who I sent it to understands) . ..and this lead me to a used Blue Ray remote I bought for the PS3.

First I turned the PS3 on . .looking to register the remote .. err and saw register camera in the options. So had a thought . .I wonder if the Live cam would work on the PS3. Tried it first . .had a no go . .then saw it wasn't in all the way. Tried again and wow . .the Live cam works on the PC and the PS3 as well. (funny the only thing I didn't try the cam on tonight was the Xbox 360, tho the night isn't over yet) Well that was done and fun, so on I look for some AA batteries for my Blue Ray remote.

On this search I actually came across an old XboxLive Kit I had for the original Xbox a few years ago that I never got to work. This was due to I just didn't know much about getting a console online at the time so I put it away. So I open it up and hey . . a 12 month code, I never actually used that before. So with the 360 on along with everyone else ( . . .I foresee a bad eletric bill) I entered this code that is . .well atleast 3 if not more years old. Heeey "Valid for 12 months of xbox live"!!!!! Ok so now I have a year of Xbox Live again. As I look I also still have now an unused 12 month code with my new kit that for random reasons opened tonight earlier for the cam and used everything else. (btw yay I got my remote registered to the PS3 . . don't remember when I actually found the batteries).

So to end the night . .I have my remote working with my ps3, I found my xbox live cam to work with the PC, PS3, and havn't yet tried but I assume it should work on the 360. Also I redeemed a 4 year old Live code(if not older) for a one year gold subscription with another new unused code for 12 months still sitting here. I should just go for the two years out of fear of loosing, but then again I just used a code I had for atleast four years. Well think that is all for tonight, and you are probably much more confused than you should be after reading all of that. I'll probably try to clean this up later if at all possible, but for now I think I'll just get some sleep I need.

Take care everyone!

P.S. for reading sake I actually used spell check and attempted to reread it.
