It really seems like these blogs will seem monthly now so please bare with me. Anyways, I have gotten what I believe to be the last few games I am getting this year and thus here they are...including that item I hinted at in my last blog post.
Gaming Pick-Ups:
In my last blog, I mentioned picking up a new limited edition 3DS as well as a limited edition version of a PS3 game. So, lets get the 3DS out of the way first,,,
I was planning on getting a "Fire Emblem: Kakusei" limited edition 3DS at first, as everyone who knows me could have easily guessed(for those confused as to why I am getting a 2nd 3DS, my most anticipated games never made it overseas). However, the prices were really expensive for just a simple 3DS and game(around $530-$560), so I decided to try Yahoo! Japan Auctions and won a different 3DS for the same price. Of course this doesn't make sense at first, but you will see the difference between this one and just getting the 3DS and the game in the following pictures.

The first two pictures are pretty obvious, the box it came in, and the 3DS itself that is shiny and metallic looking which looks kind of cool. Especially since every part of her body has a different metallic color to it. The latter picture however isn't quite as obvious. On the right is a holographic folder which contains two images on either side, on the left however is an artbook...well kind of. The reason I hesitate is that it's just a cover which contains I believe 3 or 4 artbooks which is shown in thus guy's unboxing.(There are 3 versions of the New Love Plus 3DS, I am showing pics of the version I got which is of Rinko)

For those curious, yes there is also an outer ribbon which keeps the entire collection shut in addition to the above one.
(and yes those are 4 artbooks)

It also comes with pins of each character and a soundtrack CD as shown above.
The final thing was a wall scroll, but I couldn't find an image of it online, and I don't have a decent camera with me so alas it cannot be shown.
Truth be told I knew very little about the "Love Plus" franchise and only knew that it was a highly popular dating sim for the original DS. So this will also not only be my first Japanese handheld and game, but also my first dating sim. I guess I can practice my Japanese listening too.
The PS3 game was actually not a full limited edition as I am picking them up parts at a time. I am aiming for the full Famitsu DX release which is basically an "ultra" limited edition in which case I got all the extras from that and just need a standard limited edition now. So far I have the game, wallscroll, and calandar. ![]()

In addition to that, I picked up 2 other games very recently. The first was Nier which I found for cheap(around $11), and I managed to get "Paper Mario: Sticker Star" with a $10 discount thanks to NewEgg's promotion.

Lastly, I would like to say that it has officially been 3 years since I started watching anime(started on 11-20-12)...so many seen, so many more to go. Anyways in that department my favorites this season are "Chuunibyou demo Koi ga $hitai". "Btooom!", "Bakuman 3", and "Initial D: 5th Stage" has promise too. Also, my suitemate is making me watch "One Piece" so I'm trying to finish that as soon as possible.
(yes, Chuunibyou's title got censored
)
I believe that's it for now, and feel free to comment ![]()
