There's been a lot of movies in the cinema this year. Funny that really.I've felt like i've been at the cinema's a lot lately, and i wanted to see what i've watched this year in the cinemas. So here's a list, mainly for my benefit.
JAI-HOE.Cliched ("D. It is written." Really? Your going to end it with that crap?), but was overall great. Benjamin Button deserved best picture in my opinion. (This may be because of a love of Pitt and Fincher. Especially Pitt.
I started playing with my phone during the movie. It wasn't funny or interesting for the most part. A poor man's Love Actually without any charm or wit. I hated the whole interview bit, which didn't fit with the context (It wasn't a documentary, but then it was for a punch line or two, but now it's back to normal). The stories were all so boring and i hoped they all died, except Bradley Cooper's and Scarlett Johansson's scenario (The married man with the other woman), which was by far the most interesting and felt a little real.
I just didn't get the point of the movie. Why do you exist? Damn Oprah's book club.
6/10
This is how it should have ended:
*Nicolas Cage turns to camera as Spaceship appears*
"I am Nicolas Cage, and you have been watching Knowing. Goodnight."It's a ten if you like confused faces on a movie screen for an hour and a half.
Interesting fact: Knowing was filmed around Melbourne, which is why the road signs are green.
FUN/10
It was fun, yet bad. I enjoyed it, but cannot rate it.
Seriously? That's it? The thing that was supposed to be amazing? With the incredible storyline?
They must have been talking about 17 again and i just assumed it was this.
I liked the whole "Let's Explore The Commedian's life" part. That was great. Then a bad guy had to be introduced, and Dr. Manhattan had to be in the movie. And there was the sex scene... HALLELUJAH! FIRE OOOOOOH YEAH.
6/10
Zac Effron is hot. But he's not. But he is, if you ignore that he's Zac Effron.
The ad had a shirtless scene. He was not shirtless in this movie. I was dissapointed, my friends likewise.
Pretty average movie otherwise. That woman who plays the annoying mum in every movie was the mum, surprisingly. I don't like her.7/10
Relationships suck. Vanishing cabinet part pointless. Not enough people are "Woah, Tom Felton". Why are people "OMG, RUPERT GRINT!". I think i'm speaking to the wrong crowd here however.
Not enough Luna. The rest was good, not great.
7/10
It was great, then it was bad, then it was excellent, then average.
A roller coaster. I really think he pulled this one off much better than Borat.
8/10
Just plain funny.
It was so bad, but i enjoyed it all and would watch it again. I hated the gangster transformer with a passion.
A highlight of the film was when an army general said "Come here boy!" and the camera remained on Megan Fox for several seconds, as though the general meant her.
8/10
You so good. Love that it doesn't have gore for gore's sake. This is the horror i like. The posters very orgasmic, don't you think?
7/10
I'd been looking forward to this since around January. I wasn't dissapointed! (Next up, Inglorious Basterds!)
I just saw this. So pretty, i hope 3D's to stay. This movie has convinced me 3D works, and is not a fad. A little lacking at the end, felt quite rushed and very video game-ish in design, which felt a tad tacked on. Clearly a "we must put action in this movie". I'm not ashamed to admit i did jump in my seat at least twice in this movie.
Enjoyed the kid asking his mother repeatedly through the movie: "Is she dead yet?", always during dead silence.
Here is a picture of me in the 3D glasses, because that's what you really want, a 15 year old pic-whoring themselves. Definately a default picture. I was going to spoiler it, but GS won't let me. You now have to see me whoring myself out!
That's all i remember seeing, i could be wrong. There's a long gap of not seeing anything here though...
Sorry if this blog's not very informative, but it was more that i wanted to make a list and also had not done this since the start of the year.

So, the holidays are finally drawing to a close.
6 weeks. It feels like forever. That's a sign that i did next to nothing.
I hope you who are still in school had a good 6 weeks!
Looking back on what i did:*MONTAGE MONTAGE MONTAGE*
(click herefor montage music to play in the background!)
Saw Benjamin Button with friends
Christmas
Went out NYE with friends
Went to a friends house, experienced the Wii Music. Love the Wii Music.
Went to Melbourne for 4 days. Wandered around, saw Billy Elliot. Cultured!
Went to the mall.
SUNBURN.
A weird picnic thing with some kids then went to beach.
VERY SUNBURNT.
Arctic Monkeys concert 22nd January omgz. 2nd mosh pit row, i swear Alex Turner looked directly at me and i looked back for like 5 seconds and we had a completely heterosexual thing there. Played some new songs, can't wait for 3rd album. Supporting band sucked so much, the girl next to me in the mosh sat down when they were on.
Some girl's birthday party thing at a park...
Sunburnt again.
Sunscreen did nothing!Another picnic thing!
I did some pretty awesome things, but i could have done so much more. I'm a lazy boy.
I hope you guys had a more active holidays!

And that's all there is, there isn't any more. (Even though there probably should be, but who CBF. I'm a lazy boy afterall.)

So, everyone's doing GOTY stuff. I thought i'd do the same sort of thing.
But about my favourite things of this year. I'll do a count down of 5, see what happens.
5. Filming crappy movies.
Anyway, it was really fun to make these movies. (Bruno Story was last year. Please, do not watch that.)
Even though they might not be the best movies in the world, i don't think it's too bad for a group of 14 year olds. They were all done for school though, for assignments etc.
My favourite's MVM. Detective Goren writing this.

4. Year 9 Camp
I've talked about it a little, but i had so much fun at the camp. My favourite activity we did was definately the High Ropes. 10 metres up, walking a tight rope with only 2 ropes connected to another tight rope, screaming "I AM PRINCESS PEACH, I CAN CONTROL MY EMOTIONS" for lulz.
I really need to buy Super Princess Peach. I want to do that course again actually, it was so fun.
I think the crowd favourite was the Giant Swing. Let's just say i freaked out. A lot. It's pretty funny actually. Basically, you know the giant swing right? You get pulled up 11 metres up and then you pull a rope and you fall back and forth.
Fun.
But i apparently bellowed in the deepest most demonic voice ever heard at Morrison camp "LOWER GET ME THE **** DOWN LOWER LOWEEEEEER! HIGHER! HIGHER! LOWER! THE PRICE IS RIGHT!"
I can't say i know why i did it. But i did. Lulz?
But it was a really fun camp.
3. Bloc Party
OMFG MY FAVOURITE BAND ARE LIKE 1 METRE AWAY FROM ME. OMFG.
OMFG.
OMFG.
OMFG.
OMFG.
and they were sex.
2. Footloose
(Figured they wouldn't want to be seen wearing makeup and ugly 80's clothes)
This year's school musical. I was in the chorus, which means basically in the background miming. An extra. Even though, it was so much fun and i'm looking very forward to next year's, Oklahoma.
And the after-party was certainly eventful too.

1. America for a month.
In May, i went to America. New York, Puerto Rico, New Orleans, Vegas, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Hawaii.
The best was definitely New York. I was there on my birthday. It's such an amazing place and i loved every second i was there. We spent 10 days in the best place in the world, and it was all OMFG XOXO You know you love me gossip girl. (Has anyone seen that show? It's horrible)
Highlights:
seeing a woman miss a taxi so she started dancing in the middle of the road, almost got hit, ran to the other side and then started dancing again. That was so awesome, she had groove.
Going to MacDonald's in times square at 3am in the morning, with all the gangsters around. One woman was making this huge deal out of missing chips and it was the funniest thing i'd seen in my jet-lagged memory.
Going to a Broadway show, seeing central park, Coney Islands moving Ferris wheel, The Subway, Seeing a Yankee's match and watching them be slaughtered, Randomly being in the audience for Total Request Live, Getting lost from the family in times square, going to Madison square garden to watch a basketball match and eating really weird shaped chips, being omfglulzwtfbbq'd at every moment, seeing the Statue Of Liberty up close and just exploring Manhattan.
Basically every moment was a highlight. I'm definitely going back.
Everywhere was mind-blowing in some way and overall, i give this year a 10.
Yes that's right, this year was AAAAE! Because it was exclusive to me. So take that System Wars.

Why god damn, i think it has.
I'm writing a blog! I'M ACTUALLY DOING IT!
Let's see if i actually post it this time.
See, my few readers, i actually have been writing blogs, but they've been so crap there was no point to posting them. I hope every-bodies well, i am.
Excited for the holidays? Got anything planned?
I think i'm going to Melbourne... and camping with some friends. That's pretty much my plans so far...
Maybe it's just me, but does anybody else just not really care about Christmas this year? Sure, there's things i want... but meh.
No doubt you've been losing sleep. Wondering what the hell i've been doing. Well, last week i had year 9 camp. I can sum it up in one horrible photo:

ooh, i look kinda pregnant. I felt a bit pregnant actually, they gave us 7 meals a day.. I think they actually run a fat camp as well, and were gonna hand out brochures to us. I couldn't eat by the end of it.
Oh, the guy in the back looks a bit freakish... He's not posing or anything... i'm not sure what he was doing. Or what i was doing, but you know... every-bodies "Crazy" on camp or something.
(Ooh, a perfect seque) That shirt i have is from the Bloc Party concert i went to about two weeks ago. My first proper concert.
It was amazing, i had so much fun. That's the big things really i've done lately.
....
Games wise, i've bought a fair bit since the last blog. Here's a pic... or three!

Yeah, i'm happy with my purchases. I guess i'll go through them 1 by 1.
Wii Fit:
My mum bought this. And she's never played it... once. I actually like it a fair bit. Sure, it gets old after a while, but for what it does, it's an interesting game and pretty fun to play. Plus, the instructor said i had impressive abs, which was nice.

Sin And Punishment:
I dunno really. It's a cool shoot 'em up game, and i look forward to the sequel. But i suck at it. The controls are a bit hard to use as well.... Also, i have no idea what happened in the story, not that it's important.
Super Mario RPG:
This game is great. It's awesome. I especially like the combat, it doesn't get repetitive, which i find to be rare.... and also, it's always fun to play as Mario, Peach and Bowser.. at the same time omfg amazing no wai.
de Blob:
Wow. It's.... a third party wii game.. that's had effort put into it. Says IGN.. like it's really that rare of a thing. It had a lot of hype, but i think i lived up to it. It's just a really fun game. Who'd thought walking into things could be so fun.
Need For Speed:
Yeah.. no. It's not bad.. it's just not that good. I got it for $12 though, so i can't complain. Pre-pwned as well.
Samba De Amigo!:
I only got this on Saturday. But i can already tell it's gonna be a lot of fun. Who'd of thought Maraca's would be so fun? Probably those who played the original.... But yeah. Some people find the controls impossible but i looked it up on the web and found a way to make it work.. and it did. Cheesy songs for the win!
Final Fantasy X:
Again, got on Sat. I'm already 7 hours in, kinda addictive. The story is great.. definitely a step up from XII.But i've got one big complaint.God that was painful. Getting off that subject, the CGI is stunning! Lastly, the combats awesome etc. Blitzball's okay... i hope there's not too much of it.
Metal Gear Solid 3:
Haven't played it yet. But i just finished 2 yesterday, so i'll start.
MGS2 was really, really, really good. really good. It was such a good game... but you probably gathered that.

Not too bad for my first time? I hope...
....
Finally, this blog is almost over. Just one final thing.

LostWinds is definitely new. It arrived during Wii Ware's launch. It was one of the big titles, and had a bit of hype.Firstly, i'll get started on why.The hype was around Lost Winds pretty much because it looked fun, intuitive (and wii owners love new bold games) and had a nice art style.
In LostWinds, you play as a boy named Toku. He wakes from sleeping in a nice lush valley with cherry blossoms. He soon meets Enrill, a wind spirit. He tells Toku (sounds like Tofu) to go and save the lands from another evil spirit. He does this by getting back powers of Enrill and then doing another fetch quest. Sounds very repetitious, but it's not, due to the puzzles and combat that you'll encounter.
You move Toku with the nun-chuck, no surprises there. You point at the screen to control Enrill. When you press A, his gust move can make Toku jump by drawing a line under and to the side. You can also interact with items and water and fire, making some neat and shamely sometimes ridiculously easy puzzles. Enrill powers up however, and you can press B to perform a slip stream, which you can ride once you get an item but before that can be used in many puzzles. When you use these attacks, the game slows down into slow motion, which is kinda weird, and does break the already slow pacing.

Combat is simple. A bit boring on occasions. Little black blobs and some varieties (including a fairly cool end boss battle) attack you, which is when you come in and wave them around with your wind, maybe throwing them into the ground or against a boulder. When you defeat them, little fairy like things appear. They are your back up lives, which make the game even easier. When you die (if), you can mearly shake the wind over Toku and he'll wake right up again. You can eat fruit to gain energy back as well.
The music is this game is very calming. It loops continuously, with only 2 tunes, from memory. The music changes from its calming, tranquil state into a faster kinda drummy song when enemies are around. There is no voice acting, which doesn't matter too much, as not much dialogue is present. When it is, little boxes pop up.

The graphics are eye catching, specially above ground. Very vibrant. Below ground, it's dark.. and cave like. The cave isn't nearly as eye catching, and the colours are boring in contrast to above ground. It still looks good, i'd just prefer to be above ground.
One thing about the game that you may have guessed is that it's really slow. Toku moves very slow and chunkily, making the pace of the game slow. This could drive some mad, but others will like it's change of pace. It suits the game well.

If your worried that the game is too short, don't worry. The 3 hour story has optional totems to collect, and if your a bit of a "must get 100%" kinda gamer, like me to some extent, you can go back and spend 2 hours trying to find that pesky last 24th totem.
LostWinds will be getting a sequel on WiiWare, and i think the problems with this game, such as the shortness, the looping music and the pacing issues with the slowdown at attacking will be fixed. It's a great game though, and worth buying, especially if you like unique games. It's 1000 Wii points, and a unique, if not problematic, game.
I give it a 7.5.
...
So yeah, i wrote a review, did something on gamespot besides posting on forums again! Im not sure if this means im blogging again or anything, but thats about it.
I never write reviews, so there's bound to be problems with it that i haven't noticed, but i would like feedback all the same. A thumbs up on my review would be good too!

And we're watching the saddest, most dramatic part of the movie. The climax. And so, of course, people in my class wont shut up.
The teachers not saying anything.
If i tell em to shut up, i'll miss it.
I don't want to miss it.
Her eyes are fluttering. He's kissing her, thinking she's dead. SHES NOT! I want to scream, i want to yell. I want it to end happily. I want it to change! But, it's been by the book so far, why would it.
Her fingers flex.
He gets up.
She wakes.
She puts her hand up to him.
But it's too late.
He's dying.
...
At least, i think that's what was happening. Damn english class.
In case you haven't noticed, my english class has been reading/watching Romeo and Juliet.
My mum went to school with Baz Lurhman. It's a weird name.
My little claim to faim right there. Also, Tim Bayley always mentions where i live on 10 news.
I don't know how, but he always manages to fit it in somehow.
Well, i've been listening to the soundtrack of Romeo and Juliet, as mum/sister (Not to say they are the same person! More so as in that i'm not sure who) had a copy lying around.
In particular, i've been listening to "Talk Show Host" by Radiohead and "Local God" by Everclear.
In the morning, Everclear.
At night, Radiohead.
...
I've been playing a lot of Metal Gear Solid 2. Spoilers abound.
As in i got the play time from about 5 hours to 15 in about 5 days.
I'm now versing Vamp. Dammit, keep dying. I'll work it out though. That's the thing i like about this game. You have to work things out for yourself, by being creative. It challenges you mentally, which is something games haven't been doing to me lately.
I should play more stealth games.
OMG, Plisken is Snake. What a surprise..
The story is confusing though. So much happens. And it happens all at once too.OMG, the "prez" is dead.
I love how the story can be as complex if you want! I've spent about 2 hours alone on codex conversations.
Snake's one about Vamp was awesome.
"So, that's where he got his thirst for blood from?"
"No, he's called Vamp because he's bisexual"
Then talking about how Vamp went out with Fortune after he went out with Fortune's dad.
...
I don't particulary think this blog is interesting, but i haven't written one in a bit and i feel lonely without my gamespot blog comments.

Then bam!
Safari has unexpectedly quit.
I guess that show's i should make it in word first.
So, don't expect a blog for a bit, when this happens it turns me off blogging for a while.
Basically:
Played Pyschonauts a lot. Really fun to play again. Up to Milkman level. "Look at those woman's breasts. They are large"
Did assignment all today.
I bought the De Blob ipod touch game, its awesome, super excited for Wii version.
Got new tunes, really cool.
School not so cool.
Fight Club.
Me being clever.
No spelling mistakes.
...
I think my eyes are playing tricks on me. But i've got an assignment to do now, at 12.30am. it's due tomorrow. I mean today.

Hello all.
Nice to see you still read my blog.
If you've noticed my lack of comments recently, i do read your blogs still, i just really don't have anything to add or the page doesn't load (damn capped internet) and i forget.
As i write this, my science and geography assignment await. Should start on them. Then again, i believe rust prevention can wait. Rusting nail's in custard isn't fun. I'm also listening to Footloose.
What a surprise.
Now we're back at school... well, i'm over school. I'm sick of copying stuff out from a board, from a tv. We did that in year 3. I'm sure we're capable of a bit more. That's why i like english. We rarely do that. At the moment we are doing Romeo and Juliet.
Surprisingly, so many sexual puns. I'm enjoying it, even the bits i don't understand...
We're doing Clowning and Comedy De'larte in Drama. We're learning how to juggle! Last lesson, we made juggling balls. I had 30 minutes to make them, and in that time, i made 2. They took 15 minutes each.
By the way, I'm now listening to "Holding Out For A Hero".
But none of this is relevant to the task ahead.
Oh well, detours are the new thing anyway.
We'll, if you've watched my video here on gamespot or one of the many links i've plagued gamespot AU with, (Footloose Karaoke version is on. Reminds me of the Auditions. Gosh, that was horrible) you would have seen a film i made with some friends in a short film competition.
It's not the best, it's rather... plain. But hey, when it was shown at the cinema (very cool seeing yourself on the big screen!), everybody clapped like crazy. You should watch it anyway, and try to guess which one i am.
It's time for that competition to begin again soon. Channel 7 sponsor it this year! So you never know, one sunday afternoon, i could be on tv. :p
24/7 is the name, and filming a 7 minute film under 24 hours is the game. But, to prove you made it in that time, there's things you need to implement into the movie. For example, last year, you had to include at 5 items in your film from the list, and 1 from each catagory.
Here's the list:
Locations
Long Reef Headland (We did this, last minute, very lame. Our original idea didn't show up, so we did the whole golf course thing you'll see)
Balmorel Beach Stone Bridge (I don't even know where this is)
A corso Kebab shop (We weren't going to manly. We were filming near Palm Beach..)
Billarong Playground Stone Sculpture (Apparently EVERYONE went there)
Objects
An empty milk carton (We did this. Each take, we could not throw it in the bin...)
A diary
A coat hanger
Lines
There is no way (Done!)
I can't get up that early
Whose side are you on? (I love this line)
Concepts
Cold (Done, with the guy getting the ice creams out and shivering)
A secret (If we did do this, so woulda got "The secret" book)
Security ( We did this, The security camera filming. Hell, that was in the script before we found out about this!)
And then, there's a secret rule every year.
2007's was "The same line/statement made by two people at the same time" (I hate rubbish!)
..
It makes it a lot harder sometimes. We freaked out with the whole Long Reef part while editing.
I'm looking really forward to it this year. It was really fun last year.
Only problem is.. i don't know who i'm doing it with.
A lot of people want to be in my group.
What can i say? Im popular!

Also.. i don't know what idea to do. There's one, but i think it's an in-joke, and no-one will find it funny. Secondly (this isn't a real idea, but think how cool it would be) a 7 minute musical! And lastly, there's a play i wrote last term for drama, which later got rejected by my partner cause she wanted to cry, blah, blah, blah, puppies are cute and all that. But i really like it, so i might just re-write it a little and then see what people think.
Well, that's my little update really.
I hope you enjoy my life.
I will continue the trip another time.

Just a bleak outlook on the way things could be.
I'm in a bit of a down mood, so i wrote.
And now, we wait for my blog comments to go down in number.
By the way, there's a game reference in the story. A cookie to whoever gets it first. (It's pretty obvious)
I'm not even sure i like this story, but you know, you might for some reason.
...
As i look around, i think "Is this it? Is this really all?".
I just always thought big things would happen.
I'd move away from this stupid town that goes no-where, i'd find the perfect life, the perfect girl.
I search in desperation for something new. I run out of things to say as there's nothing to say in this town. Even the weather is always the same.
I can't.
I can't bloody bear it.
As a kid, i had potential. I "marched to the beat of my own drum" as one teacher wrote, i thought outside the box, i had many dreams, and all the hope to get there as well. I think it all went wrong at 16 really. My dad, he got sick. The medical bills were so expensive, there was no other choice but to pull out of school and get a job.
Before that i used to think that people who dropped outs were idiots, i hated them for screwing up there lives. it doesn't work like that. Someone else screws up your life, and you can't help it.
I worked all the time. i had 3 jobs. One at a fast food place, one doing manual labor, and one as a night watch man.
So dull. My friends were out, celebrating completing year 10. I was so desperately unhappy doing this, but it was for my dad.
It was pointless in the end. My dad died.. and shortly after, my Mum did too, of a broken heart.
I was lost. Still am really.
I live alone now.
Thirty bloody two and i live alone. In a small beach side town.
Everyday, i go to a hospital.
As the janitor.
**** it.
As i wander around aimlessly, without any goals, any aspirations, i just envy my teenage self. I had dreams. I had wishes. I thought they could come true! The world was a nice place!
I've long lost those thoughts. I've been torn apart by this world. Each part of my soul that made me ME had left. I'm just a shell really, of bones and organs.
I've thought long about why i'm here. I just can't figure it out. Is it so god can play some sick, twisted, horrible game?! One where he plays me as a puppet, making me have no control of my life? Where i'm helpless?
I'm finding it harder to act normal lately. I can't hold a conversation at work anymore. Now, all i do is sleep, eat, work. I don't have any fun. I don't remember what fun's like. It's like i have 4 concrete walls all around. I can't really taste something sweet. I can't really laugh.
This world has taken my friends, my parents, my dreams, my hope, myself.. and now, my sanity.
This can't be happening. But it is.

It kinda hurts really.
I just know thats where im supposed to be.
But for a few years more, i'll have to wait.
I mean, it's amazing how many times a day the 2 works come up in news, conversations and just the odd sight of it.
What two words?
New York.
See, these holidays, i've been very nostalgic.
After all, it's been one of the BEST YEARS EVAR!!!!
I've made quite a lot of new friends. Well... i think i used to just limit myself socially really. And i still do in some respects. But im happy at the moment, so w/e. Don't want to make this blog about teenage angst. Gosh, i love that word.
Angst.
Angst.
Angst.
Angst.
ANGST!
"Life is so hard and everbodys out to get me and im harry potter and jk rowling should never continue my series on as the last book was stale!"
Anyway... back to what i was saying.
I've been in an amazing production of Footloose, which i loved. There's something so amazing about performing and making people happy (or not). I mean, sure i was an extra, but there's just a vibe on stage. You give every scene your all, and the shows better for it. I may not be amazing at it, but Drama is something i really enjoy. It's pretty rewarding.
And finally:
I've been to America for 30 wonderful days. New York, Pourto Rico, New Orleans, Vegas, Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Hawaii. I'll start from the start, i guess.
New York City. 9 days. I arrived there on my 14th birthday. I walked around Times Square with my family. For the first three days, we had a hotel in times square, right next to Legally Blonde: The Musical (and no, i did not see that). The first day, we just walked around times square, taking in the amazing sights.
The second day, we explored some more, but walked more uptown. But before that... Hello Harlem Gospal Choir!!! They were all like "Praise the lord, can i get an amen!" and everyone was like "Amen brother!' then they were all like "Mmmhhhmm!" I'm not religous, but that was pretty damn powerful. We then walked around and saw a movie with Clive Owen being filmed at Grand Central. We saw 5th Avenue, RockerfellerPlaza, The Crystler building and more of Times Square.
The last day in Times Square, or as my brother kept calling it "Taylor Square". Well, me and my brother were walking around before we changed hotels. We got randomly picked up to be in the Audience for an MTV show, Total Request Live! It was a show with the guys from Narnia, as in Peter and Prince Caspian. I never saw that movie, but i just liked seeing how a tv show worked really. Changing hotels, we were closer to Central Park and the more standard new york, long streets, big apartments, nice green trees everywhere. It's a beautiful place. We walked to Central Park, or as my brother called it "Centennial Park", and took it in. I saw lots of Squirrels. They move awesomely, like a Dolphin. It's like flowy and stuff, and i sound like i'm on drugs and stuff. The rose petals had fallen from the trees near "The Reservoir", the lake, it's truely an amazing place. And then guess what we did?
Yes, thats right, we went to Times Square! We had to get city passes to like see stuff cheaply. Me and my sister went to Madam Tussads, the Wax Museum, which was pretty cool. Got a pretty funny picture of what looks like my sister giving head to Bill Clinton.
My family's a polite, lovely bunch. I'm definately the black sheep of the family.
The next day was awesome! First, i bike rode around central park, to take it all in. Wow. It's really such a pretty place. I want my photo's now.. but my dad still has them, and i haven't seen my dad basically since we got back. It's small really, but so amazing. Gosh, i miss it.
Then we had to meet my sister and dad in Times Square. They were getting Letterman tickets. We got there, but they weren't. It woulda only been for my brother and sister though, as i couldn't go in, and my family weren't leaving me alone in a strange, wonderful city. They didn't get the tickets. But me and dad had to go to Wicked now anyway!
WICKED!
AHHH.
That's one thing you must do in New York. See a broadway show. Damn you Melbournian's, getting Wicked about a year before Sydney. But then again, our version has Rob Mills and Anthony Callea in it. But that doesn't matter, as i doubt that could drag down the show that much. And plus, Elpheba would just Defy Gravity anyway. I reccomend seeing this... it's a great second look at The Wizard Of Oz. And it has great themes and such and yeah. I won't go into detail, like i did with my Footloose review. As everybody at the Level 3 forums would know.
One Short Dayfrom Wicked sums up my feelings about New York really. Even though they talk about Emerald City.
Look at that, 4 days in and the blogs huge.
Might stop here for now.

17Jul 08Well, my title is clever.
I'm just gonna look at it for a few more moments.
Done.
Okay, so first off, i was just playing The World Ends With You. I stopped playing as i got stuck at a bit. This is the only part of the game where i've ever had to grind really. Which is amazing for a JRPG I'm 20 hours into. But fighting is so much fun in this game.. once i got back into my rhythm. At first i was getting frustrated. I CANT BLOODY OOK AT TWO SCREENS AND BLOCK AT THE SAME TIME!
Then i told myself to calm down, and follow the green light. Once i did that, i had a lot more fun. I absoultely love this game. I forgot how good it was. I've only played a few rpg's (Final Fantasy 12 and Tatitics Advanced spring to mind.. Golden Sun 2 as well) but i like this one a lot more. It's different, and i want a sequel, or for this one to never end.
But i've got 3 days left. And Beat has even less. The only annoying thing is the taboo noise at the end of the game, as when you read people's thoughts, you often don't get to read all of it as a noise comes flying at you.
But besides them, that's probably one of the best things in this game. Random encounters are not used. Pokemon would benifet greatly from this. The music, as i've said many times, is awesome. As someone said, i could download it off itunes, but i do not have a US account. (Like hell it's on our store!) The graphics have a great style and are very nice. I love the story, and the cutscene's, even if some don't.
...
OH
MY
GOD.
THE
DARK
KNIGHT
IS
AMAZING.
I loved this movie. I went in thinking "should be good, with heath and all"...
i had no idea.
This movie had me so emotionally attatched to everything. I was sitting there, my heart pumping. I coulda sworn i was there sometimes. Critics have been saying Heath Ledger should and may get an Oscar for his excellent, amazing, awesome, scary, beliveable Joker character. I think every bloody single last person in this film(including me, as i've been to gotham city and thats worth it?) should get an Oscar. Every character is deep and real. Ths story. Wow. Okay, so it's batman. Bad guy comes in, does bad things, Batty comes. Something happens, every one's against batman, then he does good, something bout a love interest that no-one listens too, he saves the day.
Not with this one.
I just love what this film says. Just about how humans are. What we are. How we leave things to chance, how we value our lives over others, how we are so quick to judge when we ourselves may be worse than them in the end, how people do anything for money, how people dont have fun (The Joker does), how humans now are, how things arent what they seem at all, how we trust foolishly, how we can never know someone in their entirity.
I don't know if anyone else thought that when they walked out of the movie theatre, but i sure did. I just couldn't stop thinking about it. I just love everything in this movie. I've never been so emotionally attatched to everything. The ending, in particular. In short, go watch it.
SRSLY!
gtfo and go see it.
....
On a final note, E3.
I'm happy with E3. I like Animal Crossing. I like Wii Sports. I like Wii Music. I like that they are in development of Pikmin and Zelda. I like that New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Galaxy two are on Nintendo's mind. I like Wii Speak. I like Wii Motion Plus. I like Grand Theft Auto DS. I like spore. I like TEH CAMMINATOR! (As you may notice in my sig, thanks minishdriveby!). I like all the 3rd party stuff on Wii, which is very awesome.
I don't like how all these things cost money (Camminator isn't cheap either
). Which is why i want to get a job, but first, i have to get a handle on my school work says mum. I think i might work at EB. Everyones trying out. And if there's one place really close (5 minutes walk!) that i know i'd be good at, it's working at a game store. Sure, it's EB. But hey, its money too.
Sorry for the lack of pictures, GS is being annoying. And the spelling mistakes, gs isn't spell checking damn-it.- Posted Jul 17, 2008 7:54 am PT

I never thought i would love a video game song. But i do.
Well, actually, i love all the songs in The World Ends With You.
I was gonna write a full on e3 blog (original!) but my batteries dying, so i won't.
I'll just leave you withNintendo fans/Minda's Lament

From: PMS productions
(an unfortunate name, thats for sure..)
Hey all you mopey Footlosers suffering from post-musical depression At the end of last term I was asked for a musical item to entertain the Japanese visitors in week 3 next term.
Naturally, I thought of you guys because that's all I've bloody well done for the past 6 months!!!!!!!! (Old habits are hard to break) I thought we might do the Finale from "Footloose", but if you're not up to it I'll find something else ... hahaha, she jokes It would be fantastic for two reasons
- 1. It will show our visitors just how awesome our musicals are and
2. It will give me at least a few weeks of not getting updates on myspace about how you miss the show, and when are we having a reunion, and I'm so depressed, and .... etc, etc, etc. Cheer up kids - you delivered an outstanding musical and while I understand that you miss it, I am so very proud of you all and you should be happy and proud too of what you've accomplished.
You guys ROCK!
....
Looks like footloose will NEVAR END!

Well, it's been a while since i last blogged.
A lot has happened really, so which is why i haven't been on as much.
I had Footloose, which was amazing. It was a really fun but exaughsting thing to do. And better yet, the afterparty was very funny. It's different to see people drunk. Well, i'll go out on the record saying all i did was get tipsy.
Apparently.
Either way, there's some quotes from people i'll never forget.
Besides Footloose, i had assignments to do and such. Lots of tests. I got my report too. Was good, surprisingly, since i've been away 31 days this semester (not including the around about 30 days in America..). But i have been slacking off lately, failing maths tests and junk, so i have to work on that in the holidays. Hellz fun.
Game-wise, i've bought Metal Gear Solid 2, Dr. Mario, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and i'm borrowing Ninja Bread Man!
Metal Gear is a great game, and i really like what i've played. But i stopped as i ... i dunno really, i just stopped playing. Just like the World Ends actually.
Dr. Mario is a really fun Wii-Ware game, and i play quite often. I'll put a friend code up later.
Brawl?
BRAWL!
Yes, it's awesome. Yes, it's very fun. Yes, i like it more than Melee. I only have 4 more chatracters to unlock (Ganon, Toon Link, Wolf and Jigglypuff), which is kinda a shame that they are so easy to unlock in Subspace, but oh well. The graphics are pretty nice, but not amazing or anything. But the cut-scene's in Subspace are very nice... i think.
I'm kinda at the stage where i can't tell what good graphics are and what's not on the Wii anymore. People say "Best wii graphics" for the Condult... i disagree. Also about a lot of things.
And finally, Ninjabread Man. Today, i 100%-ed it. Took about 2 hours. Not actually that bad as people say. I'd give it a 3.5 i guess. And for proof:

Well, that's all i have to say really. i guess i'll be blogging more regularly now it's the holidays.

Footloose is in 3 days.
We will be performing 8 shows.
It will span 2 weeks.
We have been working on it for 6 months.
In another six months, plans for the next musicle will be underway.
I will be trying out again.
Try-out's are by far the worst part of it. You stand in front of a group of complete strangers. You sing.
I cannot sing. I am mono-tonal.
Then, you perform some sort of acting, either a duolouge or a monolouge.
Mine was absouloute crap. Accent stuffed up, no emotion really.
How did i get in..
i wonder that sometimes.
But here i am. 3 days away from running on stage, poking the shop manager, playing cards and dancing.
It's been fun. Though, there are things i regret.
Before i left, i was pretty shy really. Which means now, at the end, i'm not really friends with many people i didn't already know previous to Fooloose.
But hey, what can you do?
The most important thing is that the show is going to bloody fantastic.
Everyone knows it.
It sounds, looks, smells, feels, tastes(?) amazing.
I'll be signing up next year. Hopefully i get an actual speaking role. But i don't care really.
Well, to finish off this blog:
Yes, our version is different, do not fear.
Have you heard the rumor they are remaking the awful movie with Zac Effron as Ren???????????
Damn Hollywood. I hate you and your sign i only saw about 3 times.

Pop.
POP!
My ears re-adjust. I look out the window, see clouds. As usual. I listen in in the conversation in front of me. I have nothing better to do. It was a pretty boring conversation really, just small chat. But the loudspeaker lady said all electronic devices must be switched off. I was about 15 minutes away from the ending of a podcast when i heard that. I sighed and turned it off and packed up all my junk into my carry on bag. I attempted to stretch my legs.
I fail at it. 0/10. What a flop etc. etc.
I could fall asleep. I could read a bit of that book. No, i'll just listen into the conversation. The accents surprise me. I'm not used to it. I think they were from Melbourne. I didn't really care. I didn't like the mother. I'm not sure why. She just seemed like a *****. First impressions ey? Can't shake them off. My first impression of her was yelling at her bogan named kid.
We humans sure can brush people off for no reason, can't we?
My ears continued popping. Soon enough, i could make out houses and roads, and cars. I didn't really care. I was tired. It had been a 10 hour flight. In that 10 hours i watched a Pixar movie, a law and order television episode, had 2 aeroplane meals, played 5 games and listened to 3 1 and a half hour podcasts. Not terribly exciting. At least the law and order episode starred Sabrina from the television show about the teenage witch. She had been raped by her student.
Nice to see she still has jobs, and isn't an alcoholic.
After what seemed like the longest small chit chat conversation ever, we had landed. It was good to get off that plane. I felt sorry for whoever had to open the door though. Apparently the gases that people expel during a 10 hour flight (which would be a lot) just hit you all at once. That is one good thing about flying though, i thought. You could fart as much as you 'needed' yet no-one would say anything.
It was cold outside. My mother met us at the start (or end, depending how you see things) of the airport. A 45 minute drive home later, i was in my own room. I thought about what i had done in the last month.
Statistic wise, i had been on 10 flights. I had been to 2 countries. I had been to 8 places. I had seen 2 shows. I had spent around $900 dollars. I had ate about 30 times at McDonald's all up, or, way too many. I had stayed at 12 hotels. I spent 4 days without brushing my teeth, as i thought i had lost my toothbrush, though i was wrong. I did actually lost 1 jumper. I got 1 stamp in my passport. I had a hell of a time.
But now.. now, i was back home.
I had 1 assignment due a month ago. I had a musical to be performing in in two weeks. I had to buy two costumes for that by monday. I had a birthday party in a few days. I have 10 exercises to catch up in maths. I had missed out in 4 soccer matches. I had a 5 minute duologue to start to organize. I had a dog to look after. I had to change subjects... hopefully. I had a lot of things to do... for once.
Am i glad to be back?
Sure, there's no place like home and all. But really, could we not all spend the rest of our days running away from our duties, however small or large?
Unfortunately not.
Welcome back. Today we will be Dissecting an eyeball.
Welcome back. Today we will be doing exercises 5K.
Welcome back. Today we will be copying from the board.
Welcome back. Today we will be organizing data.
Welcome back. Today we will be copying from the projector.
Welcome back, here's something you left behind. Responsibility and Mundane tasks. Get acquainted, you'll be spending a lot of time together.
.....
(I know in reality this isn't actually that much work, but i tried to make it seem like it for some reason.)
So, i guess that's the end of my trip.
What'd you think of that? It might be a bit jumbled and weird, but i just kept going till it all stops flowing. (Sex pun here). Write any feedback about this little story/rant/whatever it is.. i guess i'll write more of the trip (in a story format probably) later. Reading back on this, i've noticed it changes tense and i'm not really sure if i like it or not, so feedback would be very much appreciated.
By the way, Dr. Mario rocks.
As does dissecting an eyeball.

WICKED.
GO SEE IT WHEN IT COMES TO AUSTRALIA.
yeah, that's it. Wicked is a broadway musicle about the land of Oz in a very different view from the one Dorothy had seen. It's simply amazing. Funny, Intelligent, Brilliant Plot and Songs, Witty Dialouge, spectacular casting, thought provoking and slightly sad... it has it all.
Seriously, it blew my mind away. Hence the capital letters in the first part of this blog.
So, besides that, ive been enjoying New York while i can. We leave in 2 days. I havent done everything there is to do here, but who could in 7 days? Or even 7 years? But i have seen Times Square, a Yankees match, the Statue Of Libetry, Central Park, Madison Square Garden, Wicked and Manhattan.
I've really enjoyed it here. Its an amazing city. I know i'll be back one day, and for hopefully a lot longer than 8 days! Oh, i've bought a few more games since we last blogged and read. I bought Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I couldn't help myself. Freeloaders are about 30 bucks, so all together the cost of Brawl is $70, which is still 30 bucks cheaper than home. I also have been playing the hell out of The World Ends With You, picked up for $40 at Gamestop. It was either that, Demetium for $30 or Final Fantasy 3 or Choboco Tales for $20. I think i made the right choice.
I'm up to day 4 so far. It's simply one of the best DS games i've played. The story is interesting. The combat is fresh. The music is awesome. I suddenly have an appreciation for J-pop, and the songs have been in my head many times while taking the subway.
Also, i got a bargain! 7 nintendo 64 games for $20! Sure, they are the wrong region (i think, i made a thread) but i can get a 64 here for 20 as well at the same store. The big title in those 7 is the orignal Smash. Sweet!
OMGAH!
I almost forgot.
jjr10 will be on tv! Mtv to be precise. Me and my brother were walking down times sqaure when some rapper guy pulled us out of a crowd and up we went to the filming of a tv show. And ZOMG, celebrities!
You know that movie Narnia? Well, the books are way better, as per usual. But the new one, Prince Caspian is comming out. And at this show, the actors playing the prince and peter were there. Lucky, huh? I can't remember what the show was called, but here in the states it'll be on MTV on the 15th of May. It's the one with interviews and top 10 music countdowns.
Anyway, i'm off. Bye!

Hi.
All is well. I write this on my birthday. Well, it's May the 4th, 9.05am back home. I'm in Times Square. It's simply amazing. I love it so much, and i've only been here for a few hours. Games are cheap here, really cheap. Today i spotted Elite Beat Agents at Toys R Us at times square for 15 bucks! I've played about a minute or two of it. I believe i'm seeing wicked tonight. oh, and some local teenage girls were giggling and saying " No you talk to him!" as i walked by earlier. I'll take it as a compliement, even know it might not be one. Suffice to say, none of them talked, and i went on walking through the hordes of people. Thousands , Millions all around. I'm loving it so far.
I'm planning to make a short story about whats been happening while i'm here, for a competition and this blog. NOt doing it now because i might be seeing Wicked soon, and the batterys almost dead and i cant find the converter for the laptop power.
PS. American accents are so loud!!!!!!!!!! And i sorta am picking it up already. :S
I got red converse today.. Horah.

28Apr 08
I think my blog title sums up my mood.
As you should know, i'm off in a matter of days (4 infact) to America. First, we go to New York for 8 days. Next, it's Porter Rico for 3 days. Then, New Orleans takes 2 or 3 (can't remember exactly) days of our trip. Next off, Vegas. A good 3 days there. LA is up next. 10 days. Finally, we rest in Hawaii for 4 days.
OMGAH NO WAIS! I'm so amazingly pumped. I desperately want to be in New York. I honestly think i could start crying when i get there with happiness. I've never done that before, but it's possible.
Today, my brother left to go to Hawaii. He's going a few days before us. I'm not sure exactly why, but he is. We meet him there at a stopover. Today, it really hit me that it's happening. It's really, truely, honestly, unbelievably happening. This really will be the best time of my life. I dream of going to New York. It's always so great. It's hard to put my finger on what i like about it.
But i'll try. The fact that 8 million people live their is a good start. The fact that your almost definitely not going to stand out. In a mildly small town like the one where i live, it seems like if your a tiny bit different in the way you dress, the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you are basically, people seem to notice. In such a big city, nobody gives a ****. Okay, that didn't make much sense really. An actual good reason is the fact that it just seems to be the centre of the world. It's an amazing, diverse place. It's so big. It's beautiful. Central Park is breath-taking. The fact that you can literally see no-one there in parts of the park, in a city of 8 million, just says something to me. I'm not sure what that something is though.
Actually, i'm not sure why i like NY at all. But i guess i'll see, won't i?
I'm getting all of my friends something. I believe the current orders are :
A photo of Starbucks
Lots and lots and lots of photos (English teacher, weirdly enough)
I love NY t-shirts
DS game (My friend has 1...)
Something Orange County related (preferablyAdam Brody)
Well, that's about it really. But i expect a lot of people to ask tomorrow when school gets back. Which is fine. I have money, i can spend it. The only thing i know i want to get is: A New York Times for every week or day, though that'd be hard to fit in a suitcase, i'm in New York.
In other news.. oh wait, there is none. Except the fact that i went to get Mario Kart Wii, but they were sold out. Hopefully i can still get it somehow in time for the Gamespot AU tournament on Wednesday.
Sorry for the ramble on, but it's just so exciting for me. Well, wish me luck, okay? I really hope everything works out. I'd suck if it didn't, but if all i get to do is to get to go to New York, i'll be fine. I must go to New York. I will go to New York... i am going to New York!
When i'm there, what do i want to do in particular? I want to spend at least half a day wandering around the city. I want to watch a broadway production. I want to see a Yankees match. I want to go the Central Park. I want to eat a bagel. I want to have a slice of pizza and a hot dog. I want to visit the statue of liberty. I want to go to the Empire State and Crystler building. I want to go to Grand Central Terminal. I want to take the ferry ride to staten island, to see the perfect view of the skyline. I want to see harlem. I want to see rockfeller plaza. I want to visit the seinfeld diner. I want to see the sideshow at Coney Island. I want to visit little italy. I want to be amazed by the intensity of Times Square. I want to watch the antics of the crazed businessman at Wall Street. I want to see the tragedy that is the world trade centre site.
I want to breath in everything that makes New York.
And i will. In 4 days.
