re: upcoming games and Time
Ok so I have a few new games (and still planning on getting more). First, I have a full time job and have other things in life to tend to. My question for those with new games plus a family, job, etc - how do you manage to finish games (if you finish at all)?? I do have some games I've started but have not finished completely. But do all of you actually finish the game? Do you find everything, or just complete the storyline if applicable? Do you pace yourself with the current game you're playing knowing that there new games arriving? How important are those side missions and missed items? I'm curious because as much as I like playing, games *and* time are expensive. For example, I picked up Metal Gear Solid 4 this summer but have not finished it yet. Things came up like house remodeling, job, sports. Now with the holiday season fast approaching and more great games arriving, I'm trying to find the time to finish. Or are some of you going as far as time (and ability) allows and calling it done? And if you do stop, do you intend to finish it later, or do you trade the game in? alright...enough ranting for the day...back to our regular scheduled programming.- Posted Oct 23, 2008 2:19 pm PT

Upcoming games for holiday season
Gotta love the upcoming games but with the economy and financial market tight as it is, I'm not sure I'm going to get all these games. Sure I can rent or borrow and sometimes trade in my existing collection but I like buying and owning. Do I wait till months later when the prices drop? There has to be a better way to put a price on games. Sure the hardware and technology has improved compared to the old days and it justifies the effort and time put into a game. But how about when a game gets a mediocre review? If the game was priced lower than a suggested retail price, chances are somone will buy and play it and maybe change other's opinions or dare i say the review. Anyway, I think the game industry can probably boost today's economy by lowering prices a little to spur optimism again. Is that too much to ask for?- Posted Oct 23, 2008 6:59 am PT
