  CCHA Hockey

  I have a question, a concern or maybe just a wish! Where is my college hockey game!?

  First let me tell you why I am choosing to write this piece. I am a hockey fan through and through and the Detroit Redwings are my team. I also enjoy basketball, baseball and occasionally football. Although sports games are not what I play the most, Halo and GRAW take up much of my time. The real reason I'm writing this piece is because there is a great injustice that has been placed upon hockey fans which is; there has never been a college hockey game!

  As a video game and sports enthusiast; I have played much iteration of the various sports franchises over my lifetime. I have seen College Hoops and NCAA football, but never a college hockey game. I know the reasons cited for not making such a game, no market, lack of depth and hockey as a whole isn't the most popular sport ( compared to football , baseball....etc.) That all being said ; I don't care; I want a college hockey game. I mean really , we have 10 different versions of soccer games out there, 2 versions of basketball , 2 versions of baseball and football. We only have 1 hockey game! I myself being a student , want to be able to play the team or teams of the school(s) that I got to. Basketball and football fans get to. I don't think it's such a crazy idea. It wouldn't be that hard or cost that much money to edit the current construct for NHL games and adapt that to CCHA. At the very least I would like to have the college hockey teams as unlockables for the current NHL games.

  Wouldn't it be great to step out on to the ice in an Ferris or MSU jersey, maybe even UofM. Just a thought from a hockey fan and college student.
