Because I won the Friday quiz last week I've been given a new emblem as well as winning Spooks season 6 on dvd.

Don't tell anyone but I don't watch Spooks. I think I'll give it to a friend who watches it, but either way, its fun getting stuff for free.

21st May 2005, my 20th birthday and Manchester United play Arsenal in the FA Cup Final. After a tight game Arsenal go on to win on penalties and I'm gutted.

3 years later and I find out that the UEFA Champions League final is on my 23rd birthday. I knew then that United would make it to the final, and this time its Chelsea in the way.

We started well, dominating the first half and in the 26th minute Cristiano Ronaldo gives us the lead with his 42nd goal of an amazing season.

    Ronaldo

We miss several chances after that to go further ahead and almost inevitably Chelsea equalise right at the end of the first half through Frank Lampard.

1-1 is the score at half-time and at full-time as Chelsea dominate the second half but fail to score a winner. So into extra-time we went as both teams come close to scoring another but then after 115 mins, Chelsea's Didier Drogba was sent off for slapping Nemanja Vidic.

For me this was bad omens. Back in 2005, Arsenal had Jose Reyes sent off at almost the same exact time and held on till penalties and then won. Chelsea also held on for what little time was left and onto penalties we went with me fearing the worst.

When Cristiano Ronaldo missed our 3rd penalty I thought it was all over, but Chelsea went onto miss two penalties themselves to hand Man United their 3rd Champions League title!

And that basically defined whether I had a good 23rd birthday or not!

I've been tagged a couple of times so I thought I might as well put 5 facts about me:

    1. I'm 6'1"

    2. I am colour blind

    3. I have a degree in eCommerce

    4. My favourite film of all time is The Godfather

    5. I once met most of the Portsmouth football team in a club in Portsmouth.

Anyways, I bought a couple of dvds; Syriana and Munich, I'm yet to watch either, which one do you think will be better?

    SyrianaMunich

I know I'm a bit late with this but the other weeks episode of Lost was maybe the best episode ever. Desmond has been long my favourite character and that episode just strengthened it even more. Juliet's episode was good enough but it contained filler which hopefully won't happen next week in which (spoiler) someone dies.

    Dan and Des

Oh and the previews made it so obvious that Michael is the Ben's guy on the boat!

Anyway I've watched a whole bunch of films recently and I thought'd I'd rate them all from worst to best:

Shoot 'Em Up - 4/10 - Completely stupid, stupidest film I've seen for years. Carrots WTF?

I am Legend - 6/10 - Good at the start but got worse towards the end and the Zombies were fake looking.

Cloverfield - 7/10 - Start wasn't great as the characters were annoying. Once the monster appeared it was good.

Pirates of the Carribbean 3 - 7/10 - Waaay too long and complicated, doesn't ruin the trilogy but lets it down a bit.

Juno - 7/10 - A bit of a dissapointment considering the hype, it was a nice film which made me laugh a few times but not as good as I had expected.

Blood Diamond - 8/10 - Gripping throughout, although I expected the ending from early on. Leonardo DiCaprio is always good, in fact I think he's the best young actor and has been for a while.

3:10 to Yuma - 8.5/10 - Very good film, Russell Crowe and Christian Bale were excellent as always.

There Will Be Blood - 9/10 - Intense throughout and Daniel Day Lewis definatly deserved the oscar, this movie is long but always keeps you interested. Maybe not for everyone though.

American Gangster - 9/10 - Loved it, I love most gangster films and this was no exception. Denzel Washington stole the show really but Russell Crowe was good as well.

No Country for Old Men - 9.5/10 - I was close to giving this a 10, best film for about 5 years. It felt fresh and original which is something rare these days. Javier Bardem (below) plays one of the scariest characters I've ever seen.

    Javier Bardem

    Anyways....see ya.

    So

Sooooooooooooooooo, I have not blogged for a very long time, I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Last week I finished my final year of University, I've still got to wait for my results which should be a few weeks time but I am pretty confident I've at least passed. I am on course for a 2nd which is the 3rd best grade, not great but it was a tough course and I am incredibly lazy! So after 4 years of all play and no work I now have to get a proper, full-time job.

Has everyone heard of Live Earth, its like the Live 8 the other year but this time about global warming or something. Anyway I have tickets to the London show! (more info here) There are a few bands I like; Razorlight, Red Hot Chilis, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol and its probably the best lineup of the 8 or so concerts. What makes it better is that its at the new Wembley Stadium!

    Wembley Stadium

I went to the old stadium a few times to watch football but that was tiny in comparison. I can't wait!

This is of no interest to non football fans but Manchester United were crowned English Premier League champions on sunday!

    Ryan Giggs and Michael Carrick

    All smiles!

In other news Lost is to end in 2010!? 3 more 16 episode seasons, pretty strange but its good to know that it will continue for 3 more years. This season has been fantastic recently, the last 5 or 6 episodes have been some of the best ever.
  • 22Apr 07

It's been quite some time since i have blogged as I have been doing my dissertation for my last year at university, its 10,000 words and its not fun. Anyway I've finished it now, back to tv.com! Since my last blog I have managed to get a couple more editorships and am now able to field a whole Manchester United side:

    Goalkeeper:
    Edwin van der Sar

Right back:         Centre back:         Centre back:        Left back:
John O'Shea      Nemanja Vidic      Gabriel Heinze     Patrice Evra

Right midfield:   Central midfield:   Central midfield:   Left midfield:
Ole Solskjaer    Darren Fletcher     Paul Scholes        Ryan Giggs

           Striker:           Striker:
    Wayne Rooney      Louis Saha

    Manager: Sir Alex Ferguson

Anyway, TV! I am missing Prison Break already but luckily Lost has got really good recently with some fantastic episodes. Scrubs and 24 are also both on top form, May is going to be great month with the season finales. (And my birthday )

Muahaha, my football team Man Utd absolutely thrashed Roma 7-1 to go through to the next round, our biggest win in a European competition for decades. So I am delighted!

    Giggs, Evra and Ronaldo

On a completely unrelated note I watched the saddest episode of 24 ever the other night. It's season 3, the one where Ryan Chappelle dies, I had seen it before but I had completely forgotten how sad it was. It made me think; who cries while watching tv? I don't think I've cried for about 10 years, I don't wanna be sexist but I am sure all the girls probably do, it's their thing.  Do any guys cry at watching sad tv or films?

Ooh, I've just noticed I've got The Sopranos chat emblem, it's not as good as I would have hoped, I think I might go cry in the corner.
  • 5Apr 07
I know its so quick after my last blog, but this one should give me the 50 blog emblem! I've reached level 14 as well after spending ages at level 13.

Also there is a Sopranos chat at 11pm BST on monday, should be good although I am behind and need to catch up.

Today I got my 10th person editorship, Gabriel Heinze, another Man United football and if I get 3 more I can make a whole team, with a manager.

I don't know about you guys but are you having problems with your level? I've had over 50 submissions accepted since my last blog but gone up about 3%, it's like there is a conspiracy against me to stop me from reaching level 14!

This is also my 50th blog, do I get an emblem for this one or for the 51st blog?

I've got my first trusted contributor for a show! Thanks to Joe (JoeLostDharma) for making me a TC of English Premier League, and I also get a fancy new emblem to boot. Talking of Joe, he's got a weekly quiz going and after one round I am joint first.

On monday there is the season finale of Prison Break, and I can't wait! This season has been fantastic, better than the first, and you know the finale is going to awesome.

I've gone over 400 submissions, hopefully soon I can reach 500. Also I am closing in on 50 blog posts and 1000 forum posts, and by tommorow I should be on level 14. Today I reached 50 friends, if you're one of them; thanks very much, you're all fantastic!

    Man Utd's squad

Finally after waiting for almost two weeks I have received the 2 editorships I should have already got. I've now got 7 of the 11 players in Manchester United's first team, sadly people are already editors of the other 4. I've now also got the manager, but I think thats gonna be it for footballers and I am gonna try to add more proper actors. Lets hope that these bugs that have happened recently on the site are gone forever.

    Prison Break

Isn't Prison Break the greatest tv show at the moment! I've just watched Fin Del Camino and I definatly think so! Such a great episode and I cannot wait till next monday to see the season finale. Something tells me that an exchange between Mike and Mahone is never gonna go down to well.

I've also just watched mondays 24 as well and it seems to have lost its edge, its hard to tell whats different but 24 has lost something which made the previous 5 seasons awesome. Where 24 was my favourite show for years now Prison Break has taken over, its such a shame theres only one episode left.....until season 3.

Be sure to check out JoeLostDharma's blog as he is hosting a quiz and there are still a few places left. I'm not sure theres any point joining since you'll never beat me.

Wow! This is the first time in 2 days that I have been able to get onto my profile page! Tv.com seems to be getting more and more bugs and it's getting very annoying!

On another note I've been given one of the editorships that I missed out on due to the contributor points not running. 1 out of 3 isn't great but it's a start. The person I got was Patrice Evra another Man Utd player, thats 6 now! The odd thing is; on his profile there are no contributors listed!?

    Michael and Lincoln

Prison Break season 2 is coming to an end which makes me sad, it's been another awesome season and I can't wait to see how it ends.

I am now onto level 13 which seems to be a dart board??

And I've got a new editorship of Paul Scholes, another Man Utd footballer. I am up to 5 footballers now. And due to me losing contributor points I should have another 2/3 more.

Because of errors to the system I've lost a whole bunch of contributor points and should be editor for 3 new people!

    On the 11th I lost 27pts, on the 13th I lost 35pts and on the 15th I lost another 35pts!

Anyway the latest Lost episode was fantastic! Best of the season, one of the best of all time and with a great ending which was a little odd involving Jack.

I am now the editor for Man Utd's dutch keeper Edwin van der Sar. Yep another footballer!

But now that the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League have been added to the shows they actually have appearances.
