Negative Blogging: Things I Hate
Excluding Coffee... for now.

Well, I've made a short list of things that really annoy me. I'm actually thinking how fair it'd be to make a top-something. I'll try.

Anyway, here it is:

10 Emo Haters

First of all: emo people don't even exist. I've always known it, and thewinekone was also helpful. The only thing that's real must be the music genre. I'd even accept it as a fashion thing. But it's definitely not a depression phase.

Second of all: why making a big deal out of it? That'll be over soon anyway.

09 Excesive Swearing

It can be fun the first couple of minutes... but that's it.

Pulp Fiction, South Park and even Kiss Kiss Bang Bang are examples of the F' word being dead. It's past its time already. Do you even feel it? Your parents and teachers might.

08 Reggaeton

If you don't know what that is, then you might wanna have a look here.

If you're too lazy to open the link: Daddy Yankee? "A ella le gusta la gasolina (dame mas gasolina!)"? ... Shakira & Wyclef Jean? "I'm on tonight, you know my hips don't lie"?

However, reggaeton is overrated. I'm sick of it.

Why bothering? I mean, I don't even have to do with this; english is not a part of me. But even in spanish, we have all these... abreviations. It gets me kind of desperate when people keep ruining the language.

Don't hate me for this, but I can't even admit terms like: lmao, rofl - and such. And by not admiting them, I mean I find myself upset. I know it's pointless, but it's just too much. Try not switching words: save our languages!

And just to make the note: I hate THINGS, not PEOPLE (almost an exception with the emo haters).

06 Drama

I hate suffering (d'uh). But people pretending they suffer is even worse.

This part of the list includes movies- in a way. I just don't wanna get into it... I prefer laughing.

05 Beer

And drunken lullabies, obviously (I don't even know if 'drunken' is the same thing as drunk, but it's a song I happen to love).

Yes, I hate beer. At least I do when people depend on it, you know; like, they can't have fun without it. Why is it that necessary? Why getting drunk when you can spend your weekend riding bicycles or finishing a 1000-piece puzzle? (the examples are meant to be ridiculous) ..

The good thing is that I don't even like alcohol. It also makes me a lame person (in some ways), but I don't care. At least I don't have coffee (I do have caffeine from coke, I think?), alcohol.. or even tobacco in my organism. I'm not that healthy, though. So...

04 "This Show Sucks!"

Even the statement is wrong. The right way must be: I hate/dislike this show.

I've always thought you can express yourselves; but sometimes you just have to shut up. The clear example is on the forum. Sometimes it's so obvious when people haven't even seen what is on discussion, and start saying how horrible it is.

This happens a lot on the Office Forum, right? They kee saying the UK version is better, and all they did was copying... Well, guess what? None is better! It's all about what you think, really. They're very different. Give it a chance before saying what you THINK you're GONNA THINK. Don't do it with the Pilot, though.

... Please?

03 Both Drivers & Pedestriands

... so catch 22.

It all depends of the context (simple as it sounds) : If I'm walking home, I'll hate how the drivers will keep running, even after the lights are red. If I'm driving, I'll hate how the pedestrians won't even look before crossing the street.

Is that clear enough?

Well, that just... stresses me a lot.

I'm the one who decides if my so-called long distance relationship is working or not.

Now, that drives me mad. It's nobody's business, but us the people involved. And I keep listening to the same advices of how I should totally break up with her. Or the same old stories of people who went through it and suffered a lot.

Just so you know... I'm not any of them. This is totally me, Hector. And Hector is smart enough to know when things are going right or wrong. And all I'm trying to do is enjoying it; "what if"s ... those things are thoughts, not facts. And, it's going great so far. I love her as much as I did when I lived back there (home-my city). *Sigh* ... I just typed really hard.

Office-Related

Haha, really. I think my bad luck is over- well, almost.

I knew it last week, when I'm almost run over by a car. No, seriously; if the car would've hit me, I'd still have bad luck, right?

It can be hard to survive sometimes. Even when the traffic light turns to red (and the other turns green), people still take 2-3 seconds to go through it. Just thought of giving that... short explanation

Why over? Probably 'cause there doesn't seem to be problems with my family or my relationship anymore. I had loads just a couple of weeks ago. Which I don't like to mention .. or even remember. Believe me, it's not an excuse, it's more of a reason of why I hadn't told you... I guess, haha.

Why almost? The airline hasn't even called me, yet. It sucks... I keep remembering stuff I forgot to put on my list. Damn.

So, yes. I'm not talking/typing too much, in order to prevent people get scared with so many lettes

It's been a while since I've read blogs here on the site (except for Finnegan's grammar lessons, they're awesome!).

I've been kinda busy since I came back to college 2 weeks ago... Yes, that means I'm not in home anymore, and there's no Marisol, no muddah', no faddah'... and all the stuff I don't have here.

... And yes, I haven't even said hello on your profiles. But hey, try and understand that I just started returning to the whole study and computer thing, so it's kinda hard for me to concentrate when it comes to reading the lives of the people I love...

... I bet I almost convinced you.

Okay, by the time you read this (if you ever do), you will have a comment in your blog... by me. If not, you can complain: Just send me a PM with Complain on the subject; describe in one or two paragraphs how much you hate the fact that you've been worrying about me so much, and all I've done is ignoring you. Tell me I'm only a poser. Tell me I don't know about movies. And most importantly... tell me you even sent me a letter I haven't even mentioned.

I hate airports with a passion

Probably one of the most obvious statements for the people I usually talk with. Nothing personal; it's just that my last experiences have sucked... a lot.

For those who haven't read my last blogs, the day I was supposed to fly home... I missed my plane-flight-or whatever. Yes, and I've felt guilty eversince. It was an awful night.

Two sundays ago (on the 6th), I didn't miss it. I've already learned from my big mistake, and it's not happening again. Don't call me silly, there's a reason for me to talk to you about it: the airline lost my luggage.... They did.

I had all my clothes in there (except for the ones I was wearing ... and the few I had left on my appartment); 10 movies were inside, the second season of The Office (Though I was kinda lucky I forgot one CD on my DVD player), a few books (with a sentimental value), and some other stuff that brings us to a grand total of: + $1000 US.

I had to do the list and math for the airline. They haven't been giving me the best attention by the way. The list will however be studied by those in charge of the luggage movement. I just got that answer, 'cause after lots of waiting on the phone, they asked me to go to the airport on tuesday with my list and the total value. So, that's what I did... and I'm still waiting for them to call me.

When my sister came back (last sunday), she brought a suitcase with clothes I had at home. That was helpful... but the airline wouldn't allow her to take it unless she paid extra charge. My mom and her yelled and argued a lot, but they wouldn't change their minds and gave the advice of giving the suitcase to someone else on the flight. That's what they did. Appearantly, a kind girl didn't have anything but a hand bag, so she helped. I thank God for those good people

And... as a curious note: the day I got here-when my suitcase was lost- all the passengers from 3 or 4 differents flights (including mine, obviously) had to wait for their luggage to arrive for like two hours. Yes... that's what I waited, and nothing came. I was really grateful with my sister's boyfriend, he and his brother were always there for me, and gave me a ride to get stuff I needed and then the appartment.

Tell me I'm not exaggerating. Tell me I have enough reasons to hate airports (or the airline ).

Hotel or Airport?

Answer for my last blog: I stayed at the hotel.

HAHA. I supposed I'm spoiled enough... or was just having a terrible night.

I think I took the right desition. I got to had dinner and watch TV before bed. And obviously spent like 3 hours on the cellphone with my girl (there's this cheap system? on the phone company thing I'm into).

As soon as I supervise a second edition for the short film, I'll show it to you.

So Much To Tell

It's been a few weeks since I posted... anything.
And I have barely read blogs... Ok, I haven't read them at all, and I'm sorry.

It's problaby something that doesn't "need" an apology, but I feel 'kinda bad about it. Just 'kinda, though

My Final Project

Some of you already know this: my friends and I had to deliver the short film on Friday, the 14th, at 11 A.M.

The problem was... we didn't film until that Thursday! ... at 7 P.M.! ...
It wasn't that bad, I mean... the actors were great, some people from the school helped us a lot. I'm still grateful about it.

However, it was all done in a rush. It took about 2 hours to shoot those... 3-4 minutes. It's not that bad.

Two of my friends on my team were in charge of the edition. All I did was give them advices, tips, and such... And a general idea of what I wanted in some scenes.

So, that night... I slept without even worrying about it. I regret... a little, though the result was actually great. But, you know how I am. There were a few details I did not like.

But, hey... it was all done in one night! (One, out of three stories; the rest were good- also).

And, it seems like we got a good grade on this. Hooray!

The Airport Situation

Okay, this was the worst thing ever... haha.

I got home (after school), at umm... 4:00 - 4:30 P.M. ...
I double-checked the e-mail with my fligh information. It said...

DEPARTURE: 8:10 P.M.
ARRIVAL: 9:30 P.M.

... or something similar. The departure time is the one I remember the most, it WAS 8:10 on the e-mail, I'm 100 percent on that one.

However, I had enough time to get done with all my stuff.
You know, coats, shoes, toothbrush, etc....

But also, had to wait for my videocamera, a friend of mine had it, and said he'd give it to me at 5, I thought it was more than enough, I mean.

I take a cab at .. 5:15, get to the airport on time, right?

... but he never showed up... and left at 5:40, took a taxi, bought a few stuff near the place....
.. and .. I got stuck in traffic for .. 2 FUKEN' HOURS!

I got to the airport at 8 P.M. ..!
Still had to check-in! . A guy let me stay in the front of the line ..
And the ... "attendant"? Asked me to take the luggage with me, so I didn't lose more time ..
All he said was .. "Run to the fifth!"

And that's what I did! .. I ran!
"Wait... -I told myself- .. fifth what? .. gate? .. entrance?"

I asked a person, he said ... there were DOORS with numbers.
I ran to #5, got into it .. asked some police officers .. and told me it was on the 28th gate... and I was on the 19th!

DAMMIT! .. I ran .. and dropped my stuff a few times .. I was desperate.. like you have no idea.
. I was tryng to move with a sunflower, a box, 2 bags, and my suitcase... oof!

Not a single person offered help. Whatever! I just had to move on ...
I got to the 28th stupid gate 10 minutes later, read the thing . that was it! it was my city!

There was a line! Everything was perfect! I was relieved ..

3 minutes on the line, it was finally my turn to get in..
I showed my ticket

.. "this is not the airline"

...

I couldn't believe this ..
It was... like .. 8:30, and was... lost! .. On the airport of the biggest city in the world ..
What could I do?! .. I went to get information, was about to cry by then.. But I had to be strong.. HA!

Got into an information centre... thingy..
People let me get in the first place of the line ..
The girl called my airline .. and yes... my plane ... was gone..

Nothing made sense ..

"It left at 7:30" ..

HUH?!
There was this man, who had the same problem... he showed me his ticket. Yep, we both missed it.
It was on the fifth gate... I should've known that... I was too desperate to concentrate...

It sounds idiotic.. But the airport is confusing, I swear..
I mean, come on! ... We have A and B ... and .. about 32 gates ...
and.. A is just for... waiting or something similar (something I just realized) ..

However, we went to get information on the airline ..
Got our tickets marked..
Called my family, my girlfriend .. that's when I started crying ..
I was totally demotivated to do anything. But, as time passed, I calmed down ..

They said I needed like $200 (US, about 2500 pesos.. I mean, no idea) ... to get a new ticket for the next day at 6:40 A.M..

Okay, "that's a lot" .. right?
My dad bought me a new one ... The man that helped me carry all my stuff, with the same problem... had disappeared, so I was alone on this one ..

My dad also asked me if I wanted to stay on a hotel or motel .. or anything near the airpoirt ...

I gave it a thought ..
* Either I stayed on the airport and had a new story to tell, lived a new expierence of coldness and desperate for the rest of the night, and get a little stronger .. Probably, try to relax and learn a few more things about life.
* Or, have a bed on my own, and plug-ins?...( pluggers?... those things.. to connect cables) to charge my phone, and call my girl to feel better .. and sleep peacefully. Take a shower in the morning, and leave on time.

I had my laptop, and on both situations I could have internet.
The airport has wireless connection, and most of the hotels do.

Guess which one I chose!

I was almost-literally kicked out of my team.

Why you might wonder .. If I spent my time writting a script, and planning shots in my head. Well, that's the reason, actually!

They thought I was .. taking over the whole thing, and started telling me I never allowed new ideas.

I thought about it ..
And, at the end of the process.. I decided wheter to use it or not ..
I swear I used some of those!

Now, on this particular script, there are 3 dif. stories ..
I have none .. And don't feel like supervising the edition ..

So, we'll se.. I'll probably going to supervise one of the stories filming, though. I mean, at least I deserve that.. I've been the PHUCKEN' productor, I've gotten everything we needed.. Well, almost.. At least, the most important locations ..

But, it's not MY project anymore, it's just my script . .And a school I'm probably leaving soon, so..

Family: My parents and sister have been there for me when I need it.. even now that I'm away from home. My sis' does live with me, but my parents are usually looking after us... what we need. I know that control is fading away, but that happening is necesary.

Friends & Partners: Some of the people I've met here... well, they're awesome. I mean, I've met great friends, and also.. a few people who are not very... friendly. But, most of those have been really nice ... and have also made me feel home.. Including my brother-in-law's family(him too)... they're great!

Online Friends: Last in 'people'.. but, not least, really. There's a lot of people I've met in the past.. and some I met "recently". Those are from here, obviously.. the rest are from either W:A or InkLink .. both great games haha.

I tried to put a list of those that are not THAT popular.. you might know 'em anyway.. I'll then make a list of movies that are actually.. SILLY!

However, here's my recommendation for comedy movies that you might enjoy as well.

01: Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (France)

Okay, I've mentioned this movie .. a lot .. in the past, along with many others.
And eventhough you might consider this a Romantic/Comedy. I've always thought is even more than that. I could consider it a comedy, with romance and some drama, also.
This is, honestly, the best move I've ever watched, and will ever watch for sure. Not only because I laughed like an idiot, and became a very happy person from the beginning, 'til it was over... it also has a wonderful work in cinematography. I HIGHLY recommend it, you guys.

02: Delicatessen (France)

FRENCH, FRENCH!
Jean-Pierre Jeaunet .. as I said on my last post.
You see, I love this movie, not only because is truly insane ..
it was 'cause I could also see Dominique Pinion being the star!
I saw Jeaunet's latest films, and he seemed to have "minor" appearences..
I was really glad for him..

03: Brazil (UK)

!!!!!
WEIRD..?? I LOVE IT!
Terry Gilliam. Some might .. not be familiar with the name. But he was a member of Monty Python.. I'm 60% sure about that.

04: Tais-Toi! (France)

Quentin happens to be the most weird character I've seen(well, almost)..
You'll always ask yourself whether he's an idiot or not.
I will not tell you! haha

05: The Chumscrubber (US)

Dark humor ..
That's what it is .
Actually, you never can tell... Remember Billy Elliot?
That little kid is the main character on this one (OLDER, D'UH! ha!)

06: The Gold Rush (US)

I know some prefer The Great Dictator ..
But this movie was, not only funny .. but touching.
First time I saw it was about a month ago .. and I can asure you ..
you'll stop saying black & white movies are lame (if you ever did, heh ..)

07: Monty Python and the Holy Grail (UK)

.. Personally, I prefer 'The Meaning of Life' or 'The Secret Life Of Brian' ..
But that's what most of people like ..
I fell asleep. But you might love it! haha
It's #7 'cause it's Monty Python.. not because of the actual movie.

08: Shaun Of The Dead (UK)

"A romantic comedy... with zombies"
hahaha
DON'T.. STOP ME NOWWWW!

09: Hot Fuzz (UK)

I'll be honest..
I haven't even watched this one haha.
But .. hey! ..
Doesn't mean it's not a great comedy, right?
It's from the producers of Shaun Of The Dead.. and everyone says it's awesome.. so..

10: About Schmidth (US)

Jack Nicholson .. is definitely .. the best actor.. ever!
I don't consider this one a drama..!
I laughed the whole movie, so .. what the heck!

I'm sorry about the lack of images.

What should I use as a new icon?
I mean .. I just changed it, but it was a small crappy thing I came up with.

HELP!

Final Project

YES! I'm supposed to be working on my final cinematography project: a short film. Okay, I know I have to be excited about it. But, for some reason.. I'm not.

The teacher gave us the story we have to turn into a script > storyboard > shooting board ..
But it's harder than you think ..
We have to do scouting* .. which makes me kinda upset, since we don't have neither a document, nor a student's ID.

.. and we're not done with that, yet.
We have to find:
- a restaurant (where they'd let us film)
- a park (it has to look like Tokyo)
- anything that looks like the US (Houston, actually)
