  Gamespot!!!!! Where's your freaking Final Fantasy XIII demo footage!?!?!?1/1/1!

  Simple and short, I just wanted to provide an outlet for all of those having to resort to looking at other gaming website to view footage from the Final Fantasy XIII demo that came out in Japan.

  C'MON GAMESPOT!!!! Why don't you show us some legit footage of Final Fantasy XIII!?!?!?

  It is just a pity that we couldn't share this mind-blowing experience with Gamespot... oh well...

  Smash Bros. vs...?

  Last night I was given the pleasure of playing Mortal Kombat vs. DC for the first time. And this blog is not to discuss the quality of that game but the nature: the legendary iconic fighting game meeting the universe of a completely different realm. We've also seen this with Marvel vs. Capcom, which pits Street Fighter plus company against the likes of Spider-Man and his crew. AND EVEN to a slighter degree within Soulcalibur.

  It's time, ladies and gentlemen, for 2008's fighting game of the year to receive this same star treatment. Super Smash Bros. has endured the test of time, reaching the same archetypal status as Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, or Soulcalibur. And it definitely is way out of the league of any other fighting game to emerge in the past 1,000 years (maybe a bit of an exaggeration).

  And you might be thinking, what about Tekken d-bag, or King of Fighters, or Guilty Gear, or Virtua Fighter, or Dead or Alive. Tekken? It's getting a movie that will ruin it's clout. King of Fighters has always been in the shadow of Street Fighter. Guilty Gear? I always thought that game was really just a big joke yet an enjoyable joke. Virtua Fighter's dead. And Dead or Alive? Tomonobu Itagaki's gone off the deep end, though I would enjoy more superfluous bouncing.

  SMASH BROS. MUST RISE TO THE CALL! TAKE ITS THRONE AMONG THE CLASH OF SEPARATE UNIVERSES! SNAKE AND SONIC WERE BUT A TASTE OF THE TRUE GLORY THAT COULD COME!

  ARISE SMASH BROS! ARISE!!!!111!!1!!1!!!11!!

  With that said... I would like to propose some possible universes to put against Nintendo's (plus Snake and Sonic) elite (and keep in mind - this is my fantasy game. I'll do what I want):

  1. Star Wars - It had a sucky fighting game not too long ago. It's possible. You could have realistic looking Star Wars Characters + their lego counterparts.
  2. Microsoft - Master Chief plus other Halo company, Viva Pinata, a representation of Fable 2, gears of war, ninja gaiden... baller
  3. Final Fantasy - Yes, effing final fantasy. With the likes of Cloud, Squall, mother-effing Sephiroth, Vivi, Steiner, Auron, plus oh so many more. It would be the game of games, with the soundtracks of soundtracks. Instead of final smashes, they get their limit breaks, instead of pokeballs, summon materia. Oh what a happy day it would be. I could expound pages and pages about the possibility of a Smash Bros. vs. Final Fantasy game.
