  Japanese People Only buy Japanese Products....why is that?

  I recently read a gamespot article trying to analyze why the XBOX 360 does not sell in Japan. After all the bogus reasoning, one can only come to the conclusion that Japanese people buy japanese products only. Americans buy Japanese products AND american products. Is it purely because Japanese products are so much better? Well, yes and no. Lets face it. The amercian image regarding product quality has taken a hit over the past 30 years due to alot of factors. For one, the lifestyle here makes it difficult to survive on manufacturing wages, therefore most manufacturing is sent overseas. Mostly to ASIA. Japan has done the opposite. They had a crappy reputation 30 years ago, but since have improved quality to the point where they are now regarded as the best in the world with regards to product quality. And desevedly so. SO, it should come to no surprise that Japanese people only buy Japanese products. They buy them because they buy the best. Literally.
