28Nov 05Thank you everyone. I'm back online using a different computer. The other one, according to Comp USA, had the hard drive crash, possibly, and it was a supposition, from a virus. This is the only site I use regularly.
I lost all of the photos I'd saved from my digital camera...my daughter's graduation, my cat that died, my son's first day of kindergarten... I'm very depressed right now.
I lost all of the spreadsheets for my taxes and other finances. My laptop didn't have a floppy disk drive, and I couldn't get the CD drive to work, so I couldn't save anything on floppies or CDs.
I bought a new laptop, with Norton Anti-Virus and Firewall, and a WORKING CD drive, so now I have protection and I can save my data.- Posted Nov 28, 2005 2:54 am PT

24Nov 05I had just hopped onto the Forums when it happened. I got a pop up saying my internet connection was low and might not function properly. Then I got the supreme message: "Windows Is Shutting Down to Prevent Damage." Then it shut down!!!!! When I tried to turn it on again, it just keeps giving a message : "Media Test Failure, Check Cable" What cable? What media? AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGG!

20Nov 05I've been on the computer since 6:15 pm last night. Every page takes 3 to 5 minutes or more just to load. Then when try to submit anything the computer freezes or I get a blank page. I've tried logging out and logging back in, but nothing helps. I feel like I'm trying to run in wet sand!
On the other hand, I think I'll just go to sleep and then get up and go to the beach. If I'm going to sit and stare at anything for long periods of time, I may as well stare at something beautiful!!!

19Nov 05I've been tending five African Violet plants since January. They had gotten nice and bushy, and also were getting pretty tall. I had them on the shelf above my desk at work. About a month ago, I noticed that one of the plants was losing its leaves. They were withering, and there was some mold growing on the plant. I removed that plant so that the others wouldn't get infected. Well one by one, the plants started showing the same symptoms. I was down to one healthy plant by last Friday. I decided to take the last plant home, since something at my office was causing the plants to die. I put the plant in a basket in the bathroom on the back of the commode, since African Violets like moisture and there's plenty of moisture in the bathroom because of the shower.
Last night, I heard a crash in the bathroom. I arrived in time to see Slightly, my white and spotted tabbycat balancing on the plant in the basket, trying to catch a lizard on the wall. I removed the kitty from the bathroom, closed the door, then checked my violet. There are exactly two leaves left intact. The rest were on the floor and on the back of the commode cover. So much for taking the plant home to "save" it.
I did stick the broken off leaves in potting soil, maybe some of them will root. 
PS: Slightly is on "time-out"
***Edit: This is an example of what my African Violet plant looked like in January. The flowers dropped off after a few weeks. As the months went by, the plant got bushier and about 4 to 5 inches tall.***

17Nov 05My goodness I slept for 21 hours
I'm feeling better than I did yesterday, but not 100%. Thank you everyone for the kind wishes. 
I just watched Lost, where they showed 48 days in one episode. I was getting whiplash, it was going so fast.

16Nov 05I made it to work, even though I wasn't feeling very well. As I sat in traffic, I thought about turning around and going home. Then I thought about how "short-handed" they are at the office, and continued on to work. When I got there, I knew it was a mistake. My stomach started feeling upset, and my eyes were burning because I felt feverish. Then I got dizzy because I was coughing so much I wasn't getting any air. I finally told my supervisor that I was going to go home because I wasn't well. I figure, even though they are short-handed, it's better that I go home, than stay and get everyone else sick!
So due to these technical difficulties, I'm going to take some Tylenol and go to bed. I'll miss you guys, but I can't see straight right now. I want my mommy!- Posted Nov 16, 2005 1:44 am PT

15Nov 05My goodness, yesterday was tedious. I was afraid to do anything for fear that it would be lost when the site kept going wonkie! I lost my PMs, my friends, blogs, emblems, even my pie chart. The first sign was when my butterfly flew away. It went downhill from there! Everything seems to be back...shhh, I think we have to tiptoe!

13Nov 05I jumped up to Level 5 and 49% overnight! That was a big surprise, because I thought they don't update on the weekend. Well, I'm glad they did. Did everyone else have a big jump?
I got a shock, though. When I first went to my page, everything had disappeared except my name and some of the listings in my personal profile on the right side. The left side had the "add a blog, preview shows, etc message".
I clicked on my screen-name above again, and my regular page came back.
Lookie, I got my butterfly!!! She suddenly appeared about an hour ago!!!!

31Oct 05My goodness, I was at level 2 at the end of last week, and all of a sudden I'm at 97% of level 3! This site is interesting and fun. There are so many shows I'd forgotten about, that I can look up info on. My friends are starting to say I've got to get a life, I'm on the computer and watching TV so much. Where else can you explore other dimensions and visit the pyramids of the Yucatan, all in the same night!

6Oct 05I'm interested in information about Hawaii 5-0 with Derek Mau or Derek Mau Jr in the credits. He is sometimes listed with the "Jr" and sometimes without it. He was in approximately 20 shows. He was my husband, and he passed away on August 18, 1986 of heart disease. At the time of his death, he had a 7 yr old daughter, a 4 yr old son, and another daughter who was born a week after his death. His children would like information on the shows in which he acted. If anyone has come across any shows that aren't listed in his TV.com page, please let me know the name of the show. Thank you.
