  Console Wars

  Post your opinions on each console.

  no flaming,bashing,etc

  ill start off

  PS3

  Pros: Free online (even though we haven't been able to play with it to know if it's good or not)

  Downloadable PS1 and 2 games, ps1 games are $15 each, ps2 game costs unkown.

  100% backwards compatibility

  Great game variety

  21 game launch line-up

  Web-browsing

  Cons:

  slightly overpriced

  game developing is expensive

  Wii

  Pros:

  priced cheaply

  many games for kids and adults

  downloadable SNES to N64 games (dunno if priced)

  optional wiimote, provides an alternative way to play games

  Cons:

  for some reason, doesn't interest as many teenagers as the other two

  little memory

  Xbox 360:

  Great games

  Great online system

  priced perfectly

  owned by MS which allows ports of pc games

  Cons:

  Said to be mainly a Fps/Sports system, not so much variety

  Dunno, but i heard it's loud

  Seems rushed, like it could have been better if MS wasn't afraid of Sony coming out with PS3 before its console

  PS3 vs 360 vs Wii

  My pick is the PS3 because after seeing things like the MGS4 Gametrailers.com devkit i could see the potential and hard work put into making a PS3 game to its maximum in everything the PS3 is capable of. But the Wii also interests me because of its innovative design and the many ways the games could be made.The Wii may not have the power that the 360 and PS3 have but it still has a big chance of getting close to winning if not winning this gen. And although I don't particularly have anything for the 360, I like it's power and some of its games. The problem with Xbox's is that they seem to be rushed as fast as possible to meet the same standards from what they expect Sony's new gen console to be like in order to have a way to compete. PS3 though is like what would happen if a Wii and a 360 mated and had a baby. PS3 combines the same kind of quality gaming from a Nintendo game but will have some hint of 360 look in it. The PS3 also will have the same graphics if not better than the 360, and in my opinion have much better games and a better online system.
