Horseman

Well fellow gamers it's only 10 days until E3 of 2013 comes and it's both exciting and nerve racking. Like alot of fans of the Darksiders series, we're wondering what the third game will have to offer to us. Even though it won't come out this year which is saddening, I know it will launch either 2014 or 2015. I keep praying that a tease trailer or a screen-shot will appear at E3 with the new consoles coming out.

What has me worried is will there be a third game in the series or will it stop and go into limbo like so many. I know Nordic Games purchased the IP, surprising I thought Platinum Games would have snatched that up. I'm not sure what games Nordic has made, but so far they haven't said much about it or if it has a chance. I loved the first game and the storyline really got me hooked and I kept going back to it and I finally beat it. Now I barely started playing the second game since i like to take my time with video games and all.

My concerns start with the obvious question, what horseman will the third game feature Fury or Strife? How much bigger will the world map be since Darksiders 2 was alot bigger than the first game map. Will the weapons and armor customization be like Darksiders 2 or will it go to how it was in the first game?vWill the game take place when War was imprisoned or will take place after the ending of Darksiders 2? Big question is will they come out on current generation consoles or will they be next generation exclusives?

Some things are left hanging in the sir, but it seems only E3 will tell us what will happen to Darksiders? I keep wondering if Nordic will make a game where you can play as all four of the horseman at once. Oh man can you imagine switching in-between the four like they did in the FUSE game, epic brain melt here!!!!

I doubt we'd hear anything before Next E3, if not the one after. It was just bought recently, so there has been No time to do anything. And if they plan on taking the next one to the Next-gen systems, then I see it being 2 years before we get an announcement.

But thats ok. I can be patient.

I would be happy with just the knowledge that this franchise it still going strong.

I am still sceptical about the positivity of 4 player coop in Darksiders 3. Considering we are introducing 2 new main characters at the same time, I feel great deal of injustice will be done on both of them if they don't get a game each to allow us better acquaint them first. Maybe 4 player coop for Darksiders 4 or 5, but not the next one.

Since all my opinions on it have already been said, I just have questions about the series having beat Darksiders 1 yesterday.

How is the second compared to the first? In my opinion, the first did a lot of what Zelda does wrong, right. I liked the dungeons, sans the last one that overstayed its welcome and unique gimmick. I've heard a lot about the combat and presentation being easy, which makes me happy, since the first game was piss-easy, even on Apocalypse.

Are there any sections similar to the garbage pegasus-riding TPS sections? Does the second's more open nature take away from its focus? I'm mainly asking that latter question because Darksiders 1's openess became a double-edged sword in the end, though it was really great at first.

I wish Platinum Games would have bought  it though. Then it would have 1000 hit combos and crazy J-Rock tracks.

It's just crazy why Darksiders wasn't bought by the biggies(crytech,EA), it's clear that it has a huge fan following.

Well this could very well be Nordic Games ticket to the big leagues.

I don't want a DARKSIDERS 3 soo soon after they just bought it!  Let them take their time and really focus on making a killer game!!  I don't want a rushed job just to put one out!!

I just hope they go back to a more focused action game like the first. The second game was let down by shoe-horned RPG elements that ultimately amounted to a lot of dull fetch quests, and the storytelling suffered from the lack of focus.

Darksiders was just purchased earlier this year right?

i hope to NOT hear anything about Darksiders for a year or 2, hoping for 2 so the 3rd installment isnt rushed in any kind of way, Nordic Games had better do a good job if they wanna keep the Darksiders IP appealing to everyone

I really really doubt that Darksiders 3 is going to be announced at E3 if i'm not mistaken they haven't even start making the game let alone a trailer.

News about Darksiders 3 will probably not appear before next year.

I would love to see something about the third game pop up, but like others said below, it seems unlikely :/ .

I kinda doubt this game will be released or announced anytime soon. Maybe as a next gen game in future.

I highly doubt they'll have anything to show so soon after acquiring the license for the game. If they show anything, it will be a very small teaser to announce that the game is in development. Even that may be a bit of a stretch, however.

though I do agree, it does seem unlikely... :(

I would say you have a better chance of the actual 4 horsemen showing up than getting a cameo appearance by a new instalment in the series at E3.
