Well, thats who we drafted. I cant say im pleased right now. George Hill seems like a good kid, but why did we draft him? Chris Douglas-Roberts of Memphis was on the board and so was Darrell Arthur of Kansas. This pick doesnt seem to make any sense to me. We pick the kid from a D2 school over an All American who played in the championship game. I really dont know what they were thinking on this one but I pray that he does well. Then, as we all expected we drafted international guard Goran Dragic and of course i hated it but in the video reel of him, he seemed like a really fast guy with quick hands. I was actuaslly liking the pick BUT.... we ended up trading him to the Phoenix Suns for cash and Malik Hairston out of Oregon. Then came our best pick of all night, James Gist the Terp!!! I really wanted a big and hes not that but hes the closest thing we got tonight. This was our best pick all night and im excited for this kids future, if he gets minutes. Im really upset about our first pick but other than that im not furious like I was last year.

So at the end of the night we leave with Malik Hairston, James Gist and George Hill.

OK guys, i think its obvious that we need a new big. Our backcourt is getting old as well but the frontcourt is more important. If we had everyone on this team now minus Tim Duncan, we wouldnt have won a single title. We need to get a new big while Timmys around. Maybe he can be like a mentor to him and learn. There are a few good big men in the draft, most of which will be gone by pick 26 but who knows. Someone might pull a brady quinn(when he fell to the Cowboys). The following list os of bigs that I wouldnt mind to see in a Spurs jersey next year. We could also definitely use a backup PG. Yeah, i dont want another foreign pick. It gets old seeing the same guys every year, I know its worked out excellent BUT...Its time to look ahead in the future. The way the west played out this year, it looks like we have about 2 or 3 more years of being competitive unless we get some new guys in here. OK so lets do this...

PF: Tim Duncan, Robert Horry

C: Kurt Thomas, Fabricio Oberto

Others: Brent Barry, DeMarr Johnson, Matt Bonner.

Out of those guys Michael Finley, Brent Barry, Robert Horry and Kurt Thomas are currently unsigned.

So heres the list of Bigs that might somehow make it to the Spurs.

3. Robin Lopez, Stanford
4. Anthony Randolph, LSU
5. Jason Thompson, Rider University
6. DeVon Hardin, Cal

Those are the bigs that I would love as a Spur especially Jason Thompson but Its highly unlike any of them will make it to us. The Jermaine O'Neal trade made two teams go with a big when they wouldve went with a guard so im assuming that once again the Spurs will go foreign and pick some dude weve never heard of and never even call him up, just trade him somwehere down the line like we did with Luis Scola and Leandro Barbosa. Both of which are good now but I dont remember seeing them play for us. I know absollutely nothing about the foreign players so i wouldnt know if they have any talent.

If we dont go with a PF-C, its going to be a PG. Theres no spectacular PGs in the draft that wont be gone by the lottery picks so if no one falls, its probably another foreign dude.

The Spurs have the number 26 pick in the first round. We have 2 second rounders, number 45 and 57.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Its almost that time of year. I know its not but let me have my fun. NBA 2K9 is coming and due to the fact that NBA Live is complete garbage I know i will be picking it up. Now i have some thoughts on the game.

LeBron is 2 good in this game!!!!! I cant guard him to save my life. Same with amare stoudemire!

I hope they work on chris pauls, ray allens and my man manu ginobilis shots!!!! I cant stroke with any of them,

Just finished watching a video and boy am I depressed. The on the spot video of Madden 09 ruined my hopes for this game. From this video I have some thoughts:

• The backtrack feature is cool but it will slow the game down
• The replay stuff is garbage, it wont help people. theyy get used to having a mulligan
• The fact that i can play a 3 year old and he can beat me is just awful. There should be no rookie vs. all-madden difficulty games. EA is offically catering to all people who suck at Madden.
• WTF?! is up with the button icons under the feet thats so lame
• I like the new play call menu
• I like the pre-kickoff animation but the players do act kind of funny
• THERE IS NO MADDEN COMMENTARY!! Its still a step up from that weird dude who just phoned in his recordings
• THe field (at least New Englands) looks amazing
• The create a play is reason alone to get head coach 09

• The game looks faster paced or maybe it was just the Giants pass rush
• The new animation branching thing should be cool if it works this year

I still have some questions

• Will entrances be authentic?
• will created plays take advantage of possible glitches?
• Will randy moss still catch anything thrown at him?
• Will the raiders be a good madden team? (they should be with Jamarcus and run-dmc and thomas howard from UTEP)
• Will the commentary suck?
• Will the game actually be a step up?

This is my least favorite time of all year. THERE IS NOTHING TO WATCH ON TV!!! Since the Spurs got eliminated Ive lost all interest in the NBA. I could care less about a classic finals set up. Theres no football to watch considering ESPN only shows one AFL game a week. I hate hockey, its almost as boring as soccer. Baseball is a fun game to play and watch in person but on the couch i would fall asleep befor the first batter finishes. The best thing to watch roght now is college softball. Strangely, it seems every single pitcher is fine as a.... I hate watching Sportscenter re-runs. WHat am i supposed to watch? Help me out please,

In one of my favorite episodes of South Park, they rate Thad by seeing if he can beat Buckethead on expert difficulty. I bought Guitar Hero 2(too bad I cant use my rock band guitar) and i ran through it no problem ON THE CONTROLLER!!!! This songs not even that hard so i was expecting Through the Fire and Flames and i got a song like slow ride. The hardest song is by the Metalocalypse guys, or dethlok i think. THAT SONG IS SICK!!!! I havent gottenfar so maybe theres harder to come though.
