Nah! I kid, I kid! But you probably already knew that...

I wish all of you guys a Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays, whichever you prefer.
May you all have a wonderful time with family and friends, and have all of that delicious food as well!

So... What are you guys planning to do tonight, or tomorrow? I just happen to have some aunts and uncles over, and everyone is drinking, playing cards and having a good time. I on the other hand, am spending time with my siblings and cousins taking turns playing Rock Band, which is pretty fun as a party game, though I wish the guitar handle wasn't so skinny and the buttons so filmsy either. Wish I could use my Guitar Hero 3 guitar... Damn patch!

Oh well, what can I do?

I just want to wish everyone here on GameSpot a very Happy Thanksgiving, and to enjoy this special time with your family and friends on this special day... Enjoy the food, and take care of yourselves if you're going shopping tomorrow... I know I will!

Hey everyone, how was everyone's Halloween? Good I hope... Yesterday, I took my little sister (she was a princess
) out for some trick or treating with my aunts. My parents were working, and they didn't want me to walk alone with my little sister out in what could be a potentially dangerous night. Now I appreciate their concern for us and all, but c'mon... I think I could have handled it if we went ourselves, but oh well...
We went with three of our aunts (They were all witches
), and naturally they bought my cousins along as well, so we were all in a group. It was fun for awhile, but things got heated with one of my aunts (For now, let's call her "Georgina").
She is basically a control freak, in every sense of the word. When I tell you guys that she needs to be admitted into a mental institution, I kid you not, her mind is definitely not right. When she wants something done, she'll get it done AT ANY COST! That's why she's got a TON or restraining orders against her! But I digress... I've said too much already.
Anyhow, it was initially fun until Georgina started haggling the people to give us MORE candy, I told her it was fine, but she kept insisting, and she was doing that to every person all night. My other aunts and I started telling her to basically shut up and let the kids have their fun without her asking for more candy, and they were fighting back and forth, because like I said before... She wants everything her way, AT ANY COST!
The night got rough, and my sister said that she had enough candy for the night (Though I think she was just getting tired of Georgina), and she wanted to go home, but my cousins wanted to keep going, and I told them we would start leaving soon. Georgina was still fighting with my aunts, and then suddenly... Something funny happened, to Georgina!Apparently, she tripped on a crack in the sidewalk, she fell onto a bush, and her pants ripped in half where her tush is!

I couldn't help myself, I started laughing hard, and everyone one else couldn't resist laughing either!
Even the neighborhood people started laughing... and so we had no choice but to go home, thank God! I was getting sick of Georgina...
After we went home, I told my parents about our night out... They couldn't resist laughing either!

Freaky's Final Thought...
We've got so much candy last night, like literally ten pounds worth of candy. You know the saying 'Shop Til' You Drop'? It was more like 'Trick Til' You Trip'!

I finally got my Player's Ball emblem! I've been waiting for this for a week! Thanks GameSpot!

It's a treat when famous players meet.
This person did it real big with GameSpot and got wild on a Tuesday night at the GameSpot Players' Ball. Whether you saw the action from the confines of your own home or, like a true cross-country mack, stepped out into the spotlight with us live and in person, we sincerely appreciate it. If we could give you all a ride in our snotty-nosed ham sandwich with the brains blown, we totally would. That's a car, by the way.- Posted Oct 17, 2007 1:45 pm PT

First off, let me say that I was going to take pics and video of everything that was happening in that Nightclub, but I had to let my mom and my sister borrow the DV cam I had for their trip to Mexico... Therefore, there won't be any pictures here today (
).Anyhow, I got off the Bart station and walked down 11th street to Slim's... There was a long line, it wasn't as long as the line at After Hours, that line was twice as long. I arrived and got in line at around 6pm, and we were waiting out there in the cold for an additional 15 minutes (I think GameSpot was having technical difficulties at the time, I'm not really sure though). Then one of Slim's staff came out and told everyone to have their ID's out, and not to carry any sharp objects, such as weapons for example... I took out my keys, and my ID, and this girl was in front of the line, patting everyone down to check for weapons or whatnot, when she patted me down, she felt something in my right pocket...
It was a Sharpie. She said I couldn't bring it in, so I had to throw it away. Poor Sharpie... I showed them my ID, and was greeted by a couple girls holding multiple flavors of free Stride Gum... I took the first of many packs that night, and I proceeded to look around the nightclub... It was kinda small, but it could easily accommodate around 150 people... I think there were more people though, it was quite packed, we were like sardines in a tin box. There are four distinct parts in this nightclub, there was the main floor, where everyone walks through, and in the center of it all is a table with 12 LCD monitors and a Xbox 360 for each person playing the last round of the Saving Vagas Tourney. I must say this was probably the most intense gaming session I have seen ever. The gamers were pwning each other left and right, and in the while everyone was shouting expletives to each other... It was kinda funny actually; none of my online gaming sessions were ever close to being that intense.

The next part of the nightclub was the stage area, where On The Spot was being filmed throughout the evening. I didn't spend too much time in that area up until the last half hour, where Button Mashing was taking place. I saw the seven contestants play PixelJunk racer, and then 3 of them played Memory Leak... No one said Mario Paint!
.
Poor Daniel, he got pwnt by Daniel 'Badass'...
, at least he got the Guitar Hero II bundle for free! ^___^
Next to the floor was the bar, and at this bar... They were serving Chicken, Mini Burgers, Quezadillas, French Fries, Sandwiches... at for drinks, they were serving Coke, Sprite, Water, Red Bull (Yes, Red Bull!
), and a special fruit drink from Stride, called Forever Fruit. It had Pineapple pulp, Peach Nectar, and Mango Juice. It was quite tasty... ^_^. The best part was that all the food and drinks were free, and there were waitresses carrying drinks throught the whole club, so we don't have to keep going back to the bar whenever we want something
. There were also games on the bar's countertop, there was Halo 3, Virtua Fighter 5, Need for Speed ProStreet, Skate, Sega Rally... all of which are for the 360, and the sole PS3 game that was playable was Ratchet and Clank Future... This game looks and plays like a dream, I'm really excited about this game, it just looks gorgeous.
And lastly, their was the VIP suite (I was mostly there, naturally...
), and the only thing up there were two Rock Band games playing on two huge HDTVs... I was terrible on Bass, but I did pretty well on Drums, and feels very natural. This game is going to rock, I just wish it had better songs to play.
So I basically hanged out, made some new friends, got pwned on Halo 3 (This marks the first time of me playing that game), played Rock Band, and basically had a good time. I hope to be coming back to this next year... It really is awesome.

Wow... Just wow. That was a lot of fun.
I went to Slim's Nightclub... I heard the beat for Britney's Spears "Gimme More" was playing over the speakers the whole time (the beat does sound kinda pr0nish...
), and there were stripper poles with girls on it playing Halo 3 on huge 50"+ monitors, and everyone was drinking Margarita's and Guinness beers while playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero III. The atmoshpere was really sexay in there, and everyone was hot and heavy in there as well...
In all seriousness though... That didn't really happen (
), I'll tell you what happened for realz in tomorrow's blog. I'm really tired right now, and I have to go to sleep soon.

My mom was asking me when I think about having kids, because she wants to get to know them before she passes away (she's only 45...
). I tell her that that is a huge step, and I won't be going that route for a while, since I'm not even married, nor planning to at the moment. She says she'll "Never get to know her grandkids".
My little sister (who is 10 years old) comes into the room asking her, "Mommy, you want grandkids?" She nods, and my sister says, "Okay mommy, I'll do my best!"

I've been waiting for this game since the DS launch, and it is finally in stores today!

Crayola Treasure Adventures is a puzzle adventure game in which your stylus acts as a Crayola crayon... Because we all know you can't use Cryola crayons in an adventure game...
With stylus in hand, it is now time to "Finish the drawing!"
This game is sure to be a system seller!

No...NO! It's NOT an emo blog, I can assure you!

Then why such a pessimistic blog title? It's because of something that happened yesterday, and today...
Yesterday, on my way back from work, there was this pick-up truck... it looked like that person was moving into another house, because I see some furniture on the back of the truck... There was also a Plasma HDTV on the back as well, it was easily a 50", possibly a 60". Anyhow, the truck made a tight turn, and the HDTV was tipping over... I got scared, because I was behind the truck, so I moved into another lane... The truck made another tight turn, and the HDTV FELL OFF THE TRUCK... IN THE FREEWAY!

The television got smashed and destroyed!
I hope that if I ever move, that doesn't happen to my television...
Today, I was driving my sister to school... When I dropped her off, I heard a loud CRASH sound behind me, and I couldn't believe it...

There was a corner store when I made the turn to get to the school, but it's gone now... You know those big Semi-trucks that usually carries products to be transported to stores and whatnot? Well, one of those DROVE RIGHT THROUGH THE CORNER STORE!
It got completely destroyed... I'm trying to watch the news and see what happened... Here is the link to this story... . I really hope no one died when that happened.I have a feeling death is after me... I are scared!

... and it's the worst kind of addiction around as well. Yes, it's the inevitable RPG gaming addiction that comes with buying an RPG game. That game is Shin Megami Tensai: Persona 3, and I am having a blast playing this game every single game for hours on end... The last time I've been hooked to a game like this was back in the last year when Final Fantasy XII was released.

I don't want to spoil the story for you guys in case you haven't played or even heard of Persona 3, but I will put up a review when I finish the game. I think I'm halfway through the game, so I'd say that maybe in two weeks I'll work on reviewing it.
Also, yesterday I went to Target to pick up a copy of Warhawk for my PS3... This game is awesome, interacting with tons of people fighting each other in teams, and with headsets too...

I really suck when it comes to shooters, and always have been ever since I played GoldenEye way back when... I kept getting headshot by my brother (hella evil, I tells ya!
) with a golden gun.

Maybe now with the purchase of Warhawk, I'll finally be albe to play a shooter... I still suck at playing this game, but I did shoot two planes down with a tank within 5 seconds... I never defeated anyone before in a shooter, and shooting two planes down was exciting for me, to say the least... I finally PWNed them!

Well, since I haven't been on GameSpot much lately, you guys now know it's because of these two games... I'll be back on shortly though. One does get worn out from playing video games all the time.

"Did freakyzeeky go on a Safari adventure?" :O
"Was freakyzeeky attacked by all these animals?"

"Did freakyzeeky see that Afrika demo for the PS3?"

...
Uh... No. I just went to the zoo.

---------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, my sister presented us with a ticket to go to the Oakland Zoo for free, since her teacher from last year gave it to her for helping her out after school as a helper of sorts... She got to paint with the teacher, since she's an artist.
Baa, I'm digressing! Anyhow, we went yesterday, and the zoo isn't very big... but for free admission, I can't really complain now, could I?
The first thing we saw was a huge, and I mean HUGE crocodile... It was like 20 feet long dude!

It was also very still... I never saw it move in the 3 minutes I spent looking at it.

We saw the zebras eating grass, bats flying all around in some area surrounded by netting, each were fighting each other for scraps of lettice and fruit... We saw lions as well, but they were sleeping, and the monkeys were swinging on the willow trees, and one of them had a banana at hand.

The elephants were neat, they were also eating grass and just walking around... They pooped, and we all giggled.

The giraffes were also eating grass, and the meerkats... The meerkats were by far my favorite animals at the zoo, 'cuz they were soo cute!

They were wrestling with each other, digging holes, eating ants, got in groups, they stood up, they had one of their own stand on top of a rock to keep a lookout for any trouble... Just like on Meerkat Manor.

The day at the zoo was pretty fun... But what really opened my eyes about these animals was this one tortoise that was looking through the glass, and it was CRYING when we called out to it. It was rather depressing, because it didn't look like it was happy there... I wanted to do a rescue operation, a la Hey Arnold! sty.l.e type of operation. That tortoise made me realize that these animals don't really belong caged and in captivity up in a zoo, but rather where they came from... Nature; it's their home... I just wish they can experience it again, and not spend their entire lives up in that zoo.

Sorry dudes... I couldn't control myself, but I just saved a ton of money by buying from EB Games!

Yeah, rly tho!

------------------------------------------------------
Anyhow, I did save a ton of money at EB by using some coupons I found at cheapassgamer.com, they had a coupon set where you can save 10% of your purchase, for new or used games and accessories, excluding game consoles. If you guys want the coupon pack, click on the pic, save it to your computer, and print it out... I've used it yesterday, and I can assure you that it works, and it stacks with your Edge card if you have one already for 20% on used games!

Also, a couple of weeks ago... I found a brand new copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in a Goodwill store for only $6!

Since I don't have a Wii, and since I don't really like the Wii's white color (I prefer black, it matches with my TV, PS3, GameCube, and sound system), I decided I should trade it in for store credit (By the time a black Wii comes out... Twilight Princess might be a budget game, so might a well take advantage of it's trade-in value, which is $25). Before I went to EB Games to trade it in, I printed out this coupon....

(Firefox users, right-click and choose 'View Image' to see the full-sized image)
And I got an extra $10 on top of that $25 I would be receiving for that game, plus another 10% for using my Edge card, and I got $37.50 in store credit from that game alone!

I also traded in some other games that day as well, but they weren't worth much (They were those 3 for $10 PS2 bundles that you find at Wal-Mart during the holiday season... Tee hee.
), and I ended up with over $52 in store credit... I was so happy. You guys are more than welcome to use these coupons. That's how friendly I am with you guys.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Oh, and finally... During this past week, I bought all these games... Rate 'em!

I seriously need to stop buying games... This is overload for me!

Finally... My job as a summer manager is now ancient history! I'm now on a two-week vacation from my job, and right now... I'm enjoying every minute of it.

This job was difficult at time, since some of my team members accidentally broke a couple of light fixtures from a couple of houses... But that problem has been fixed and we ended last week with a trip to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, CA!

This is Santa Cruz's famous Beach Boardwalk... I love going here.

That rollercoaster behind that ride is actually a national historic landmark. It is called the 'Giant Dipper', and is the nations 6th oldest rollercoaster. I love riding on it.

Scenic lifts exist to get an overhead view of the park... It's breathtaking.

The Giant Dipper has appeared in many television commercials and movies, including The Lost Boys, Sudden Impact and Dangerous Minds.
It was a fun day spending the last day of work with my team members in this fantastic park.
----------------------------------------------------------------
That's pretty much it for today... I'll update the blog tomorrow with more of my daily musings. Oh, BTW... I'm back GameSpot! I'll be able to spend my time here now that I won't be as busy anymore... I miss posting in the forums, and that's exactly where I'll be as soon as I'm done typing this up!

It's been a long time since I last updated my blog... I guess I must've been really busy, since I work overtime on weekends as well. Sorry about that you guys, didn't mean to leave you guys hanging out to dry like that.

The good thing is I'll be able to post around quite a bit today, and speaking of posting I'm going to celebrite my 20K-post partay this weekend at the OT. There will be Choco Tacos, food, drinks, celebrities, and music... Everyone is invited and I hope you guys can make it!
In other news...Ever since I've opened my Paypal account, I've been addicted to eBay... and ever since I've been buying a ****load of barely used games at rock bottom prices!

I haven't bought a game in like 5 days, but over the course of a couple of weeks... This is what I bought...

I bought all these games at a combined total of $128.47! Not bad, don't you think?

It looks like I won't be buying any more games anytime soon...

Man, it's been awhile since I've updated this blog...

How's everyone? I'm doing fine... Not much has been happening this week, just busy working and going home, and back to working in the morning (I really don't like routine... Gets repetitive
).

I've been trying to decide what movie I want to rent next from the video store... I'm thinking either Fight Club, Full Metal Jacket, or Letters from Iwo Jima. I heard all those were great movies, but I might rent only one or two of those movies. If you have any suggestions on great movies you think I should see let me know... I love watching a good movie.

Speaking of movies... I'm going to see The Simpsons Movie when it comes out this Friday. This will mark the first time in like 6 years that I will be seeing a movie on the day of it's release. The last movie I've seen on the first day is Scary Movie 2 (I was a young, okay!?

)
In addition, I downloaded Mortal Kombat II from my PS3. As some of you may already know, I'm a huge Mortal Kombat II fan, and if you've seen my MKII Speed Run videos, you'll see that I'm a pretty good Kitana player. And this game has online capabilities!

This is the first time ever I've beaten someone online in any game, and multiple times at that! So if you have a PS3, and have Mortal Kombat II installed, challenge me... I love beating people down with my precious Kitana...

I've also downloaded Castlevania: Symphony of the Night from the PlayStation Store as well. I've never played this game prior, but I've meant to purchase this game a while back. The only setback is that this is a rare game, and a used copy of the PS1 release could be found on eBay, going upwards of $60!

I've only spent $10 on the download, and so far it's a pretty fun and challenging game... Why haven't I played this sooner?
That is pretty much it from me... Until next time dudes!
