I am hoping to upgrade my phone today i currently have the Sony Ericsson K810i but to be honest i am sick of it now it's quite ugly and it's lacking in features thinking about it i don't know why i bought it in the first place.
My current phone
There were quite a few phones i was really interested in all looked awesome and had plenty of features but i am limited with my contract i wanted the Nokia N95 but i didn't want to pay the £90 upfront to upgrade to it so that ruled that out. I ended up getting it down to 3 phones they are
LG Viewty KU990
Combining a touchscreen user interface with the latest technology, the Viewty ticks all the boxes: 5 megapixel camera, 3G video calling, high quality video camera, MP3 player, FM radio, HSDPA for broadband internet speeds and bags of memory, this is probably LG's best phone so far.
Samsung U900 Soul

The U900 is Samsung's flagship phone of 2008. It's a super-sexy super-slim slide phone that looks very "2008" with its dual-screen touch-sensitive controls and metal casing. With a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, 3G video calling, MP3 player, FM radio and plenty of memory it should tick most people's boxes.
Nokia N82

A good alternative to the N95, the N82 offers very nearly the same features, but at a significantly lower price. It's a smartphone with GPS navigation, an outstanding 5 megapixel camera, media player, wireless LAN, a 2 Gbyte memory card and HSDPA for accelerated 3G connectivity.
I have put them in order of which ones i want most with the LG Viewty KU990 being my first choice and Nokia being my last i just got to wait for my mother to get back from town now hopefully with my new phone.
UPDATE: I found out that i couldn't upgrade until September now looks like Orange have got a bit stricter on upgrades anyway now i am in the release window of the Nokia N96 which is the phone i really want so i thought i would add that to here.
Nokia N96

The N96 is an evolution and refinement of the Nokia N95 rather than a whole new model, but seeing as the original phone was very good to start with this isn't a bad thing. The larger screen, refined design and additional memory bring the phone back up to flagship level, something which over the last year the N95 had started to lose.
I got home from work tonight to find no parcel waiting for me and no card/leaflet through the door to say they have tried to deliver my GTA IV limited edition. I am absolutely gutted now to be honest i wouldn't of been able to play it for that long tonight anyway as i only got home from work at about 21:30 but still that is 2 and a half hours i could of been playing the biggest game of the year for but because of Game and the Royal Mail im stuck here without it and I'm really ****** off. The only thing i have got for preordering is 500MS points and some gamer-pics which i would give up in an instant if it meant i would of got the game on release.
I think I'm going to give my local sorting office a ring in the morning to see if they are holding anything for me and if not then i am going to give Game a ring and see what is happening because i should of received it on time i had free express delivery as my order was over £100 so should of got it on time.
Also i want to find out if there is a maximum limit on the amount of reward points i can have on my reward card at Game as i have recently hit 10,000 points but i thought i should of had a bit more than that if anyone can answer that for me that wuld be great..
I decided to leave the company i was working for the company is in a mess they recently laid off a few people and the management has gone a bit crazy i just wasn't happy there anymore and well i finally started to look for work a few weeks back wanting to get out as soon as possible. I saw a job advertised for a call centre where a couple of my mates work so i thought i would go for it as they seem to enjoy it a lot it pays less at just £5.95 an hour and i have had to be more flexible in regards to hours worked but i think i can live with that as a short term thing maybe a few months until something better comes up.
Any job i get now is only really a stop gap until 2 years from now when i want to go back into education and get qualifications in either Engineering or IT not yet decided have looked into them a bit more recently and both have really grabbed my interest I'm glad i have about two years to decide and hopefully by then the choice will be more clear.

The new Liverpool kit has been released and i really like it haven't ordered mine yet i think i will give it a few weeks before putting my order in but i will get it i haven't missed a kit since 1995 and i intend on keeping that up.

GTA COUNTDOWN CONTINUES
Only 4 days to go my special edition preorder is currently under the picking and packing status with Game wish i get it early but by the sounds of things they will be sending them out on Monday what a stupid day to release a game.
There are a lot of leaked gameplay videos on various websites i have been very tempted to look them up and actually have on youtube got it loaded up ready to play but i just couldn't I'm starting to think it's an addiction as this is the sort of thing addicts do. Thankfully Tuesday is not long and the wait will finally be over and i can just enjoy the experience.
------------------------------------------
I don't know if they did these outside of the UK but i came across Tangy Toms for the first time in about 10 years this week at the Makro near me i bought a box and have been munching on them since God i love those crisps. It brought back a lot of memories of other sweets which i haven't seen in years so i thought i would have a look for some online sweet stores and came across www.aquarterof.co.uk i started adding stuff to my basket and when i checked what i had altogether it came to the best part of £40 but i didn't buy them
would of been great with GTA IV.
We are on the home straight now after many months of waiting wee have finally reached the 7 day until release mark there was times like back when it was expected to be released in October but got delayed when i didn't think it would come but the time has really flown by i really can't get over how quick it has gone.
Here is a bit about GTA
It started back in 1997 when Dave Jones and DMA Design released Grand Theft Auto it was a free roaming top-down view game based in 3 cities whih we are all familiar with as they have also been the settings for the 3D GTA games they are Vice City, San Andreas and Liberty City. They later released two expansion packs for the game both set in London in the 60's. In 1999 they released Grand Theft Auto 2 it kept the same top-down view as the first but updated the graphics and the gameplay was changed slightly with a gang appeal system i'm not a 100% how that worked out because i never got round to buying the game.
In 2001 they released the first 3D GTA games called GTA 3 they had got rid of the top-down view and is now in third person view it was set in Liberty City around about the same time frame as the release. The open ended gameplay was amazing something i certainly couldn't remember a game like it before this and that is why i would definitely put this odown as one of the most influential games in history. It was the first game to really made GTA a mainstream success selling over 10 million copies worldwide and really did build the foundation for the future games to be massive successes.
In 2002 GTA Vice City was released it was set in 80's Miami and a must say so myself by far the best of the lot so far fantastic setting. The gameplay was generally the same they added a few stuff like the ability to fly aeroplanes and helicopters, buy property/assets and extra weapons i can't think of anything else that they added. This continued on the massive success of GTA III going on to sell around 17.5 millions copies according to Take-Two.

2004 saw the release of one of the biggest selling games ever GTA San Andreas it had three distinct cities San Fierro(San Francisco), Los Santos(Los Angeles) and Los Ventura(Las Vegas) with a desert and countryside seperating them. They made many more changes to this one than they did with Vice City over III in this they added RPG elements with the skills tracking and also eating and activities had an affect on your characters weight. You could also vastly customize your character with different haircuts, tattoos and clothes. It was also the first GTA when you could swim i can't remember how many times i died in Vice City because i fell into the water so it was a welcome addition for me. They also added car customisation, minigames like basketball and dancing. The games has gone on to sell over 21.5 million copies according to Take Two which is phenomanal it would be amazing if they couldtrack how many hours in total everyone has put into the game because me along has put well over a hundred if not even over two hundred for the last year or so before buying a 360 San Andreas, Fifa and PES were the only games i played on the PS2.
So now on to GTA IV what are the key additions and changes well they have gone for a more realistic approach with what seems like a bit more focus on graphics than past games and a physics engine which looks amazing so far. It will also be the first on console to include multiplayer which sounds fantastic and the 15 modes available sound like a lot of fun i can't wait to try those out. I don't know but the more i read about it the more hyped im getting and that is scary because i have never been this hyped for a game before.
Anyone have any favourite memories of past GTA's and what are you most looking forward to about GTA IV?
What a great night i could only listen to the fight as it was on Setanta but when Tom Jones came out to sing the national anthem the old hair on the back of my neck started to stand and then erves really started to kick in. I was thinking Calzaghe to win the fight would have to get the fight stopped because if it went to a decision the American judges always favour their own fighters. I couldn't get over how many Welsh and British fans were over there it sounded just like if it was back here in Wales.
The first round gets underway and a disaster start for Calzaghe he gets knocked down in the first which is just th third time in his amazing career. Calzaghe wasn't looking settled at all too eager to land the punches and against a fighter like Hopkins that is very very dangerous.
Round Two started and it was quite a scrappy round a lot of holding by Hopkins stopping calzaghe getting any combinations off and just disrupting his overall gameplan. It goes into Round Three Calzaghe starts to put the combinations together a bit more but is leaving himself open to the right hook from Hopkins which has been causing a lot of problems for Calzaghe.
In the Fourth Round the Ref called a time out about all the holding going on not a lot happened in the fourth i would say it's about even at this time maybe Hopkins a round ahead. The Fifth Round was a decent round for Calzaghe after landing a very nice left hook early on and his combinations and footwork are starting to work.
Round Six is when Hopkins starts to fight dirty by using his head which the referee lets go which is expected afterall Hopkins is an American fighting on American soil. The Seveneth Round Hopkins starts to slow the pace but Calzaghe lets fly in the last 10 seconds of the round with a flurry of punches which surprises Hopkins.
In the Eigth Round Calzaghe is on the offensive but just can't find a way through Hopkins defence and Hopkins does his best to frustrate and annoy Calzaghe by landing a punch after the bell. The Ninth Round Calzaghe really starts letting fly landing some very nice punches and Hopkins is tiring.
Hopkins started the Tenth Round looking exhausted and when Calzaghe catches him with a low shot Hopkins goes down complaining of a low blow taking about 2 minutes to get back up which starts to frustrate Calzaghe and he starts getting the fans on his side. When Hopkins does get back up he looks more energised could that 2 minute breather have done the world of good for the old guy.
The Elenth Round finds Calzaghe landing a few left hooks and yet again Hopkins goes down complaining of a low blow towards the end of the round both fighters start to open up throwing some wild punches.
Round Twelve and Calzaghe is pushing but Hopkins just keeps on holding breaking up all rhythm for Calzaghe and the final bell goes the fight has gone to a decision. The fight has been very scrappy on times and is far from going down in history as a great fight.
The judges scored the bout
113-114 for Hopkins
115-112 for Calzaghe
116-111 for Calzaghe
This has now extended Joe Calzaghe's unbeaten run to 45-0 and can now add The Ring Magazine's light-heavyweight champion of the world to his honours list.
I thought Calzaghe did really well it is his first fight over in the States or outside of the UK for that matter and it was also his first fight at light-heavyweight so pretty much everything was new for this fight but he has proved why he is champion and an undefeated champions by adjusting and coming through to win it.
What is next for Calzaghe well after hearing Roy Jones Jnr talking last night on the radio im sure he will be Calzaghe's next opponent it sounded like there has already been contact between the two parties although he did say no contact has been made yet. He spoke about a two fight contract one being over here in the UK and then back over in the States if they could come to that arrangement that would beabsolutely awesome.
I am finally back online long story short my mother has and is still in and out of hospital coming home for the weekends she got behind on paying the bills so the line was disconnected spent three dys trying to get sense out of BT's foreign call centres finally get put through to one of the British call centres and it was sorted in 5 minutes had to wait a week for it to come back on but i am just glad to have it up and running again.
Update on RSV2
I have hardly played it lately especially because i haven't been able to play online but i am upto officer rank and im just two levels away from completing the ACES both of which are for assault. I have started to notice the bugs especially the sound bug which is really starting to annoy me but i can live with that.
GTA IV HYPE
I am really getting hyped about GTA IV it has really gone into overdrive at the moment i remember i was unbelieveably excited about SA but i hav already gone past that i have not been this hyped about a game ever it's got to a point where it is getting scary.
I have the special edition on preorder i don't know why to be honest because i don't really want the stuff that comes with it but im a sucker for special editions so i will not be cancelling it.
How excited is everyone else about GTA IV?
