    So I bought A Drink...

The other day I stopped by my local 7-Eleven to pick up some milk and some other goods when a very interesting looking cup caught my eye. It was the Halo 3Mountain Dew Game Fuelslurpee cup! I didn't expect to see Halo branded slurpee's so soon but from I heard from the cool guys on The Hotspot; it looks like Bungie has put in it's Halo 3 drink merchandise out.

I have to say thatthe cup is pretty cool -- A spartan presumably The Master Chief holding a red flag with a warthog and a pelican behind him riding onto some sort of battle. The Halo 3 logo also appears when I move the cup in different directions. The cup itself feels like it is well built and it's pretty nice. It's like one of those things that if you move around, the pictures on it move around too. I don't know if there's a word for that, but the words SLURPEE are on the cup and the many logos associated with the cup are on it as well.

All in all, it's a real awesome Halo 3 cup in my opinion. Check it out at 7Eleven!

    Last-Gen Gamer

I've always been a last-gen gamer. By this I mean that the consoles and games that I purchase are considered last generation of the current or next generation. Let's take for example, the current nex-gen consoles; Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii. None of them I have, except my 360. This is an exception, because I actually received it with some games as a gift. Other than this, I do not own any sort of nex-gen consoles.

My philosophy on purchasing new nex-gen consoles are like this:
    1. If the console is less than $300, I will think about it. Usually if they are on sale for an extremely ridiculous low price I will purchase it.
    2. The console needs to have a game that is "killer app" material at the time or near release.
    3. My friends should have the system. Someone I know that plays the console generally makes me want to own or play with them.

Aside from this, I generally wait until the current gen consoles and games turn into the last gen. I am not completely sure why I do this, but I actually enjoy playing the last-generation games than I do with the current or nex gen ones.

Although I greatly enjoy playing my 360, playing my Playstation 2 still is a blast. My GBA and my Gamecube still hold strong strings in my body, because the games just seem to be rather dazzling sometimes. The "nex-gen" is almost too much for me at times. I do enjoy seeing those intensely killer graphics but goodness; sometimes I just want to lay back and play some Mario. Even to this day I still play Super Mario World and Street Fighter 2 Turbo on SNES.

Yeah, I basically have been a last gen gamer since I first got into
games. I tend to enjoy older games/older consoles a lot more than newer
ones more so because of the pricing and sometimes even the simplicity
of the older games may kick in. Don't get me wrong, I love playing
nex-gen games; I just have a mind-set to get games at a later time when
    it's usually much, much cheaper.
