A long comeback...
It's been ages since I have actually updated my blog so I'm going to do so right now without delaying any further.
I got Windows 7 (x64) a few months ago and it is amazing, I thought Vista was good but dude Windows 7 is fast (takes me like 0.2 seconds to open up my computer where as before it took like 2.5 seconds). Not only I went from a power hungry OS to a really lightweight one, but I also made a transition from x32bit to x64bit, a pretty painless transition apart from the fact MORROWIND DOESN'T WORK ON 64BIT!!! It won't run at all, all I get is a stupid error message; I also had this program for Morrowind which basically allowed me to use my current resolution (1680x1050) rather than the standard pathetic 1024x768, guess what... THAT DOES NOT WORK EITHER!!! My God out of all the programs out there Morrowind is the only one that screws up under a x64 bit OS. I mean come on the original 16bit Arena even works (even without DOSBOX). So yeah I'm trying to figure out a way to get it to work - looking online for a patch or something - but no luck yet.
I also got 3 new games so far Uncharted 2, Borderlands and MW2. Out of all 3 I've got to say MW2 is the worst, seriously I mean so much hype for uninspiring and very repetitive game-play. Sure MW2 is addicting but its ... Meh. Borderlands on the other hand is interesting to say the least, you can do 2 player co-op locally and up to 4 player co-op online. The graphics are original and crisp at a stunning 1080p resolution which even MW2 struggles to play at. The game-play is awesome (imagine a mix of Fallout 3, Bioshock and XIII) but I have a feeling that Borderlands won't have as much replay value as 2K claim it has. Nothing to worrying but what makes the best game of all time (Oblivion) amazing is that it has so much replay value you can play it all your life - literally. Uncharted 2 is amazing and deserves so much more hype than MW2 has received, its original style similar to Prince of Persia and Gears of War works exquisitely well and the story is genius (in some ways superior to even Oblivion but no where near as epic or groundbreaking). Best of all it's exclusive to PS3 so to all you Xbox fanboys F*ck you.
Another thing that really p*sses me off about Xbox owners is they claim to have more games and more exclusives to PS3, not only that but they say that their games get better reviews that PS3 games. Well I have news for you Xbox owners and I'm gonna speak legit of what I think about the Xbox 360 and most importantly FACTS (which you Xbox 360 owners fail to express). Although the Xbox does have more games than the PS3, most Xbox games are unknown to the daylight - what I mean by this is there are so many mediocre games for the Xbox that we don't know about because most games on the Xbox are developed by newbie developers which take up programming for the Xbox 360 as and educative experience. Programmers use the Xbox 360 as a platform to experiment on because it runs a modified version of Windows 2000 which is proven to be both stable and easy to program on. With that being said there are only 11 games more on Xbox 360 than there are on PS3, furthermore the PS3's have many more exclusive titles than the pathetic Xbox 360 "claims" to have. Another thing that really brings my balls to a boil is on Gamespot and other various gaming websites they compare the PS3's graphics to the Xbox 360's, don't be fooled as the images ARE screenshots taken from a PC "Xbox 360 Screenshots" and an Xbox 360 "PS3 screenshots". How do I know this? Very simple, the lighting used on the "PS3" version is identical to the lighting of an ATi chipset which Xbox uses, and vice versa for the "Xbox" version of a game for PC. Of course a PC can have any chipset however, the Xbox uses Direct X 9c and a Modern PC uses Direct X 11 which you can see a difference in. So don't even bother you 360 fanboys as not only me but other people like myself can prove this sh*t but all you can do is wine how your version of a game has better graphics, and how stupid can you be to believe that developers make 2 different versions of a game for a specific platform, its like trying to compare the graphics of 2 identical HD TV's.
We're almost there, the games on PS3 are original and not another DOOM clone, mostly games on PS3 are completely different to Xbox games. Uncharted 2 for example has original play mechanics and a story like no other game, Little Big Planet revolutionised platforming similar to how Mario did back in the 80's, MAG yet to be released will put an emphesis on teamwork and working together in a massive 256 player online campaign. This and many many more games actually have done something for the gaming world, the only revolutionary game on the Xbox is Gears of War 1 (Halo 3 is essentially a clone of Halo 1 which is a clone of Unreal Tournament :s)
Finally to be honest the PS3 is much more powerful than the Xbox 360 and it has been proven since games like: Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and believe it or not Little Big Planet simply cannot be ported to the Xbox because of things like the Xbox processor not being powerful enough, A DVD not having enough space to store the content, the videocard being too slow and other various details. As for the overheating Fat PS3's are just as likely to die on you as any Xbox 360 even the elite, however the Slim PS3 using 33% less power has proven to not ever overheat even under extreme gaming conditions (however not being left on 24/7 duh)
Overall my rant on the PS3 Vs the Xbox is genuine as I have owned 2 Xbox 360's (one elite and an ordinary premium Xbox 360 which have both RROD' within weeks of casual gaming) and I currently own both a Slim PS3 (never broke down) and a Fat PS3 (reliable but overheats overtime and requires care and servicing). The PS3 has better exclusive games than the Xbox, Better Graphics, a better build quality, free and ultimate online play in every way superior to the subscription based Xbox online and overall just better in pretty much every way.
Well thats the end of that now back to playing Uncharted 2

2nd Thoughts
You know I have been playing Oblivion for almost 4 years now and as always it will remain a true classic forever. So yeah I can't wait for The Elder Scrolls 5 which should be coming out around 2011-2013, it's still quite a long wait however I found a game to keep me busy up until then. So I've had second thoughts about Fallout 3, which may surprise you since my first thoughts of it were pretty damn bad, the game kept crashing, I was too addicted to Oblivion at the time, did not finish the main quests yet ect... But I think Fallout 3 for PC has matured out enough now and it does not seem to crash, at least no way near as often as it used to. So yeah I'm now playing Fallout 3 now, don't get me wrong I still like Oblivion better, Oblivion is still at least 100 times better than Fallout could every dream to become but it is quite fun especially now that it does not crash every time you walk into a room. I got to admit Fallout is actually a decent game, that's pretty much all I've got to say for now, so hopefully now I will make an effort to update my GameSpot more regularly
.Peace out.

Back to the king
Yes, it's time for Oblivion once again and for the first time I have installed the Unofficial Oblivion Patch 3.2.0. Guess what, the patch is actually good it fixes heaps of bugs that the official patches don't touch. So yes I'm currently Playing Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition, Unreal 3, Left 4 Dead and Dawn of War Soulstorm (DAW II = CR*P). Oblivion never gets old!- Posted Feb 28, 2009 6:58 am PT
