  Seriously?

  As I seem to have temporary insomnia, I decided to surf the web at this ungodly hour. I found this list of the 10 most ridiculous patents issued by the US patent office.

  How stupid are we in America? part one

  This will be the first in a series of periodic posts entitled "How Stupid Are We In America?"

  Yesterday, I went to my local McDonalds ( that was a mistake in itself), and ordered lunch. I was standing at the counter waiting for my food, and I caught a glimpse of the drive-thru window hutch. Hanging above this hutch, is a sign that says

  "H.B.O.-Hand Bag Out, Smile, Say Thank You, Close Window"

  What was or wasn't going on in the minds of the poor saps that work the drive-thru that nescessitated the need for this sign?

  "Oh my god, this guy handed me a bag of food and I don't know where to put it! Do I give it to the pissed off fat guy in the car, or do I put it on the ground for later.?" My guess is that 90% of the employees chose the second option...

  In a little display case by the door at this same Mickey Dee's was a pamphlet that said," Taste, Choice, and Balanced Eating at McDonald's. How to fit McDonalds into your healthy eating program."

  Because when I think McDonald's, oh yeah, I sure think "Healthy Eating"...
