I am so excited for the Zune HD! I had an 80GB Zune but just recently the lithium battery started to expand and leak inside the case. It made the screen cloudy so it became unuseable. Unfortunately, I was far out of warranty so I couldn't get it repaired.

I want to get another Zune and I was going to buy the 120GB model, but now that I saw the Zune HD, I really want to get that instead. However, Microsoft hasn't released any information regarding capacity, so I don't know if it will be near 120GB. They did say it would be a solid state hard drive, so... I suppose it won't be more than 10 or 20GB.
If that's the case, I'll end up going with the Zune 120. I have a huge music collection.

Zune HD isn't coming out until this fall, and I'd really like to have a Zune again before then, so I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't want to wait all summer and then find out the Zune HD is only going to hold like 10GB. : Guess I will scour the blogs for a few more weeks and see if anything develops.

I mean, this is the first mission. How the hell do you play this game?!?!
Also, I just planted snow?
P.S. My arctic fox thing ran away.

I picked up Game & Watch Gallery 3 for 30 cents (30 cents!) at GameStop this weekend. I think that is officilally both the cheapest game and the best deal I have ever found.
I am still playing through Chrono Trigger at the moment, and it is still fantastic. If all Square Enix re-releases are like this, I might just have to pick up their Final Fantasy re-makes as well. I have always been turned off from them because of the $5 Square Enix tax and the fact that I'm not that into Final Fantasy.
Found a few other deals when I was out, so I have a ginormous backlog now to play through. I only have until next week to play all of these before it's back to the grind. Plus, I gotta eat and sleep! I'll have to make a checklist or something for my next blog; it's seriously ridiculous how many games I have purchased in the past month. Ri-freaking-diculous. This was definitely a gamer's xmas for me this year.

I finished Kung Fu Panda today. Wow, that was a short game. I mean, I didn't expect a lot from it, but it had to have been less than 10 hours.
I fell short of two Legendary Challenges, so I will have to see if I can go back through and play those levels (not sure if I can?). And I need to find 1 more rare coin to unlock the Shanghai multiplayer level. Got the rest of them though!Anyway, it was a fun diversion while I was stuck in Chrono Trigger.
Heehee. Now.... back to Chrono Trigger!! - Posted Dec 24, 2008 10:39 am PT

I bought an Xbox!
Some games came with the set I bought, but none of them will boot up because they are scratched and/or covered in some sort of film (like toothpaste residue or something). I will have to have them re-surfaced.
I know I need to pick up Fable. I also know about Halo, but I'm not a big FPS fan.
What other Xbox exclusives do I need to get??

I didn't go out for the doorbuster sales, but I did go out in the afternoon to pick through what was left in stores with all the big sales. I found a few good PS2 deals:
- Dance Dance Revolution Supernova w/ dance pad - $15
- Dance Dance Revolution Supernova 2 - $10
- Tokobot Plus - $10
Also, about a week ago I found Tony Hawk's American Sk8land for $8.
I tried for Amazon's Animcal Crossing: City Folk Black Friday deal, but I didn't get it. I think that deal must have sold out in like 3 minutes.
All in all, I'm a pretty happy, thrifty gamer.

So pretty...
So very, very excited! Now I just hope they don't f*** it up with motion control. And please, please, add online multi-player battles. Please.

I've been playing The World Ends With You. Is anyone else playing that?
Controlling the second character... wtf and how? My success rate at that is a crapshoot.

I've been playing Professor Layton and the Curious Village, finally. I didn't realize it was going to be allllll brainteasers. I thought there would be more adventuring in between the puzzles, a la Trace Memory. Blah. It's compelling enough that I'm still playing, though, so that says something. Thank god for GameFAQs, however, or I'd have given up ages ago. Too much maths! Me hate teh maths!
If I recall correctly, my SAT math score was something like half my verbal score.
I do very well at all the diagram puzzles though.
By the way, don't even bother buying any hints. Every hint I've bought so far just repeats the original problem in a new way. Gee, thanks, I know how to read. Now tell me something useful like which matchstick to move first. This Penny Arcade comic pretty much sums it up.

20Feb 08I hate to say this but Hwoarang is really moving up on my list of characters I kick ass with in Tekken.
>_>
I hate to say it because my goto guy has always been Jin Kazama, and something just feels wrong about beating Kazama with his rival.
I am a little ashamed.

I've been playing Puzzle Quest.
That's really about it.

I've also been trying to use the mouse with my left hand because my right had has been a little achey--I think because I've been at my computer for way too long at a time. Take a break, you say? Never! I must adapt!
I'm getting better at it. Still pretty slow compared to using my dominant hand, but steadily improving. The only thing is, it makes my forearm tired, because I have to really focus on keeping my hand and wrist steady.

One of my friends let me borrow their copy of Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, so I've been playing through it since Monday. The stories are just as compelling in the third iteration of the series, but, honestly, I really hoped for more interactivity like was found in the first game. Digging up clues by using the touch screen was a lot of fun and very challenging.
I still like the game--it's absolutely great. I just feel a little disappointed from the lack of anything really new.

This game also seems a little easier than the previous titles. Although I'm currently stuck on a confusing piece of evidence at the moment, ha. But I'm probably halfway through the game (Episode 3) and this is the first time I've really been stuck, so either I'm becoming an ace detective (har har) or this game's a bit on the easy side.
Since I got to play it, I probably won't buy this game unless I see it on the cheap. The first game I don't mind replaying. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I feel like there's always something new I notice when I replay it. The second and now the third just seem like updates to the original. I'm still holding out for something interesting to happen in Trials and Tribulations. In Justice For All, we were all treated to some backstory between Edgeworth and Wright, so I'm hoping that unraveling the mystery of Godot will prove equally rewarding.
Even with its shortcomings, I still like playing the series, so if there is a new chapter in the saga I will look forward to playing it.

Last night I successfully saved Miniopolis from the evil plans of Daddy Bigbucks!
Of course, I'm talking about The Urbz (DS). I started playing the game again because my gf managed to get past a mission that I was stuck on.....in like 5 seconds.
I've got a few Rep missions left to complete yet, so those will probably keep me busy for a few more days. While I was looking up something on GameFAQs, I read that one of the Rep missions is impossible to complete because of how the game is programmed. To complete the Artsie's Rep mission, you must recycle 100 piles of trash, but it doesn't start counting your trash to recycle until after you complete the main game. But the trash has been available since the beginning of the game, so everyone's already recycled all of it, and now there is no more trash left to recycle. What crap.

In other news, there is no other news. Heehee.

My official Wii remote jackets came today. I like them! They are very robust and easy to grip. They are also a lot easier to put on than the unofficial jackets by Nyko or Switchback, or whoever made them first. I like that there are openings for all the buttons, including +, -, and home.
I haven't played a game with the jacket on yet, but I'm sure it will be nice. Sometimes my hands start to hurt after playing a lot of Excite Truck or Tony Hawk because of the unfriendly shape of the Wii remote.
Anyway, yay! If you haven't ordered your Wii remote jackets yet, you should! They are very worth it!

SSX Blur finally came in the mail yesterday. I only had a brief chance to try it out.
Highlights:* Controls are a whole lot different on the Wii. Thanks to that, I suck at SSX now. lol
* My hate for JunkieXL continues. The man makes crappy music--why does he get to mix the entire soundtrack? *sob*
* Is it just me or is the framerate in Blur worse than on the Cube? The picture would seizure at least once on every track. I suppose it's because this is a bigger disc so it has a larger read area, as well as the fact that EA makes millions on every SSX game and doesn't care.
Despite that, it looks like it has the potential to be fun. The controls are certainly a challenge though. I will need to devote some time to getting them down.
I don't know how much luck I will have convincing my girlfriend to play this with me. She is a big SSX fan, but she is not into investing large amounts of time into a game to learn controls. I hope she gives it a shot, because I bought this game so that we could have something to play together.- Posted Sep 28, 2007 11:37 am PT

I just rented Super Mario Strikers for the weekend. Wow! It is effing hard! I just got my butt kicked by Hitler I didn't have high hopes for the match when I saw his name, let alone his ranking.
I need to read the tutorial, that's for sure. Hitler was pulling moves on me that I didn't even know how to do. That Nazi bastard.
*
I beefed up my soccer skills today and swept the Fire Cup!
I also realized the key to winning is the makeup of your team. It's better to use fast players with average shooting and defensive skills because you can steal the ball more easily. And super moves are pretty useful. All in all, it's not a bad game, but it's not something I'm terribly interested in. I won't be buying this one, or renting again, but I will enjoy it while I have it this week.
Does anyone have it and want to swap friend codes to play online?

12Sep 07The problem with Wii's Virtual Console games is the price. Sure, I can see $10 for big cl4ssics like Super Mario 64, but not for less successful titles like the ones in this announcement. The high cost prevents impulse and curiosity buys. I see a lot of games I would like to try, but I'm not willing (or able) to waste $6 or $8 or $10 on a game I don't know if I will like.
