    Draw the line

In life, everyone has their own opinions on relationships and lessons that they've learned over the years. But one thing that supprises me is that it seams that most people don't obviously have limits for themselves. For instance, going back on the relationship things, there is different milestones in which we want to accomplish with the opposite sex. Such as... Step 1: Get to know each other Step 2: Become best friends Step 3: Date; and then once you begin dating, you move on to other levels such as your first timeholding hands, firstkiss, first time spent together watching a movie, etc. Yet it seems that this generation of children have it ALL wrong. Now-a-days it looks like people date first THEN get to know each other. Like how guys and girls are "hooking up" for a one night stand and THEN seeing where thier "relationship" gets them (and most of the time, it gets them a bouncing baby boy or girl 9 months down the road ) Now for the most part, back in our grandparents days, dating used to mean the former part of what I described earlier about how you meet the person first, then become friends and so on. But like I said, it's anymore just seeing if we can have sex on the first date instead of waiting till marriage. I just don't get it. If you guys have your own ideas on this, than go ahead and comment. And thanks if ya do

TV: The good; the bad; and the ugly

Awhile back in myphilosophy class, our teacher wrote the quesiton "Is tv good or bad" upon the board and the class had to split up into 2 groups on each side of the classroom. One groupsaying that tv's bad and another side saying it was good. Now your probably wondering what side I took... I said that is was more bad than good. Now being in a philosophy class you have to explain your reasoning for everything and my explanation of why television was bad was because it never really shows the real side of life. The turing point that as used as an example was that show called "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" that airs on ABC Familly. If you don't know what it's about, it's about this girl who gets pregnant in high school and she has to cope with the stress of having a child at 16. Weeeeelllllll here's the problem with that show... 99% of the actuall show is the teenage drama of regular high school garbage (hook ups, break ups, and other high school drama's) instead of this girl truly taking care ofthe child (which for a side note here; the baby is only shown maybe 5 times in a whole season) It honestly in my opinion is once again showing our generation that "drama is okay" and "having sex and children in high school is fine." Well it's not... Wake up world. So here's my question to you guys... It television really a bad thing or not and what makes it bad or not?
