Everybody seems to have given their opinion on this, and now i want to share mine. Nowadmittedly I haven't done my share of research on possible future progress, but all I know is that although I am excited for a new generation of consoles, I believe it's too soon to see the end of the PS3 or xbox 360 although they've been around for an unbelievable 6 years! Time has indeed flown by, and I've enjoyed every moment and every hour squeezed out of my machine, but I believe there is still more to offer. I know that there has been reports that production for PS3 games will continue as well as for Xbox even after the release of next generation consoles although new and improved technology would be amazing I still believe today's generation of consoles still have massive amounts to offer, and the production of a new console will mean most resources will be diverted to creating new generation consoles and I am not sure but this seems to have a correlation with the quality of games. Now I would like to share what I believe are top tips for next generation consoles to succeed:

I believe the system has to be stylish people showcase these consoles as a piece of furniture nobody wants to hide their consoles they want to show off their new flashy toys! I would love to see sony get more creative with their console design, rather than the cube design they've maintained since the first playstation, although the PS3 arguably is more artistic it remains something a child could manufacture.

The controller! Now i know this has been mentioned before in gamespot's review but Sony have to modify their controllers it's maintained the same design throughout it's history with minor tweaks, I believe in order to really step up their game sony should develop a new controller designed to be sleek and trendy while being functional. Also what I would love to see more often are co-op capable games, one of the greatest things about the playstation 3 and the xbox is the fact that they could support upto and beyond 4 players, however the games that actually allow you to use all 4 controllers can easily be counted on your hands, now this is a problem especially for me because i love playing with my brother and i love playing competitively with friends and it's so much more interesting than playing a lan game because the connection is simply terrible from time to time and it provides an unfair advantage for the player with a better internet connection. I know as we approach a more modern age people believe that they should keep up with modern technology but a little old school never hurt anybody!

(I apologize for any false information like i said before this topic wasn't well researched before i dove into writing this blog)
