bacchus, your point certainly rings in with me. It's a coincidence both of my new games are for newer systems. I still have Persona 3 FES to play, and I don't consider that any worse than a new game on the 360.

Funnily enough, 2008 in gaming for me started with a Playstation 2 game, and it looks more than certain that it will also end in one. In early January, I closed the lid on Final Fantasy XII's fantastic story, and now, mid-December, I just finished yet another incredible and immersive game,Yakuza 2. I had been waiting for this ever since I completed the original last year, and the wait was certainly worth it. Interesting stories such as this come rarely these days, in any type of media, really. I thoroughly enjoyed it from top to bottom, and it ranks amongst the best games played this year, for sure. Just so this statement does not go infounded, I had just received Banjo Kazooie: Nuts n' Bolts and Fallout 3, two gigantic games, just when I decided to close out Yakuza 2.
Bring on Ryu Ga Gotoku 3, Sega!
