I consider myself a Glamadork and an in the closet punk chick. By day i'm this mild mannered conservative finance worker. I live in this small town in Texas that is the bastion of yuppy elitisim. I hate it. yet, on the weekends I am totally different. I wear skull t-shirts and lots of black. I like plaid skirts with black leggings and chain belts. To me, I've always liked that look and just in the past year I have had the courage to rock it.
Compared to the regular sci-fi fan I guess I stick out a bit. I noticed this at my recent trip to my local sci-fi convention. Most people think wrestling and sci-fi fans are fat, dorky looking, and weird. People get shocked when I can aptly converse in all things geek. They say, "but you look so normal". I dont know whether to be insulted or take it as a compliment. Someone called me a glamadork. Glamourous on the outside, but dorky on the inside. I thought that was cute, but i'm as ackward as they come. I'm painfully shy, I read a lot, I collect action figures, i know waaay too much about comic book characters. I havent always looked like the way I do. When I was in my teens I had serious growing pains. I was 300lbs and never felt like I fit in even though I had friends and stuff. So in my senior year I decided to loose the weight. I did. For the past 3 years my weight has crept up on me, so in December I decided to get on a diet and work out 4 days a week. I have lost about 50 pounds or so and falling, but I still struggle with self esteem issues.
I'm so excited about the new Star Trek movie. I cannot wait!! All of my peeps are wanting to see this movie too and they don't even like Trek. Hopefully this movie can hook non-trek fans.
I've been hearing about the new Star Wars live action tv show for about a year now. I hope they hurry up!

Well I don't blog often, but since it is the holiday season I wanted to know what you do for the holidays? I am looking for a new tradition to start, since I don't cook for Christmas and only for T-giving. I was thinking about a X-mas breakfrast. Every year for the past 3 years we have gone out to Golden Corral, but last year we got sick from the food. So I need some Ideas.
Also, What X-mas specials do you watch?? I love the A Christmas Carol, the really old one. I also watch the Mickey Mouse Version, but my favorite is the Nutcracker! I love it. I really enjoy the parades too.

YOUR AGE BY EATING OUT
Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway-but
your waiter may know!
YOUR AGE BY DINER & RESTAURANT MATH
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read .
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat.
(more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1758...
If you haven't, add 1757.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number
The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)
The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (200
IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS - Posted Oct 22, 2008 12:36 pm PT

Thank God, TV is back. I have been out of stuff to watch for a while now. Here's what I'm watching:
Kitchen Knightmares: I love Ramsey and I don't know why. Anything he does is Gold. However this season is a bit over the top with the Dr. Phil crap.
Fringe: I'm still on the fence about this show. So far it is o.k. but kinda like a cheap X files rip off with certain Lost bits in there. We will see.
Stargate Atlantis: This is the last season for this show and I will sure miss it on Fridays. I hope that Sci-fi channel will offer something new for fridays with BSG going off the air too. I dont want another Swamp Monster 15!
Terminator: love, love this show. It just keeps getting better.
Project Runway. This is the second season I have watched. This season is good so far.
Americas Next Top Model: This season so far is dismal. It is totally goofy, weird, cheesy and Tyra is over the top. The models are good, but the challenges are boring.
True Blood: Me and my friend watch this every week. Vampires in the south is very cool.
Heroes: This just started, but the premiere was off the hook. Loved it.
Mad Men; This is my first season watching this show and I'm hooked. It is very well written, slow paced, but interesting.
Making the Band 4: I'm starting to get bored since they started the tour.
Shows I'm looking forward to:
Doctor Who, Torchwood, 11th hour, Lost, BSG, Degrassi, Lipstick Jungle, Sanctuary, Sarah Jane Adventures, Naruto Shippuden, Big Love, Grey's Anatomy, The L word, and Star wars Clone wars.

Hey eveyone. I found this awesome show called Sexy Voice and Robo. it is a live action Japanese Comedy that came out in 2006 I think. It is about this 14 year old chick that has the ability to mimic any voice that she hears. She also can recognize any voice just by hearing it once. Then there is Robo who is an adult that is a total dork that collects toys and watching this cartoon called RoboMax, which is like transformers. Well Robo is played by Kenichi Matsuyama and he is too funny, but still looking as good as ever. Robo is very childlike, niave, and and airhead. He is always trying to find a girl. They team up to solve crimes.

I have the video's on my new Youtube account: http://www.youtube.com/user/LadyMatsuyama
After watching a few episodes I realized that I love dumb characters. Doogle on Father Ted, Alice on Vicar of Dibley, Rose on the Golden Girls, Naruto, The pink haired chick on Bleach, Inuyasha, George Sunday on My hero. I don't know why, they just crack me up.

Hi everyone, this is my first blog. So here goes something!
My birthday is coming up, June 23 btw. I wont say how old I will be
. I'm pretty old, well not old old, but lets say over 25! N E Ways, I consider myself a real cool chick. I hang out with the young folks and I certainly don't look over 23! Thank God for that.Well, I love Death Note. My friend told me about it and I started watching it. If you havent seen Death Note then please do. It is a super slick, creative, cool Anime that comes on the Cartoon Network. I love anime anyway, but this show is very mature and if you like mystery and plot twists then this is the show for you.
I saw the death note movie a couple of weeks ago. It was really good. L is my favorite character and I have been trying not to fan girl out on Kenichi Matsuyama, but... In Janurary this year in Japan there was a book released called L File No. 15, which is a picture book that contains a mini manga, and various photos of Kenichi as L. I instantly knew I wanted it for my b-day. So now it's up to the ol' ball and chain to find it. I have been looking online and I haven't had much success. I will try ebay next. I like L because he is funny, weird, smart, quirky, and kinda a dork. OH and he LOOOVES sugar, just like me!
Here is a good pic:
