Despite all the criticism over the motorbikes as a tacked on, unnecessary addition to the franchise, they are quite simply the only reason I continue trudging through this game's career and arcade modes. They look great, handle well and they're fun to drive. Pulling off stunts is simple and intuitive, and I adore how the rider actually reacts to the opposition, making gestures and raising his fist in glory after overtaking the guy in first place. Oddly, I'm going to be focusing on the multiplayer portion of a game this time around! Indeed, this will not be a critical analysis of a singleplayer mode (though that may come in the future), as has seemingly always been a custom of mine.
