I just posted my reviews for Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band on the Xbox 360. Both were awesome games. E3 was great this year, and I'm making a list of my favorite games. This list is in a random order.
Gears of War 2
Fallout 3
Far Cry 2
Crysis Warhead
Rock Band 2
Spore
Guitar Hero 4
Resident Evil 5
Resistance 2
Project Origin
Fable 2
Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts
Left for Dead
There are many more games, but those are just a few. I would like to see more on Call of Duty 5 and Battlefield Heroes. That's all for now.
Yesterday, I went out and got a starter electric guitar. I have not really learners much yet except a few warm ups. But soon, I'm going to take lessons. My goal is by the end of the summer, to be able to play some songs by artist such as AC DC, Aerosmith, Quiet Riot, etc. My cousin can already play songs by Rush, and he has only been playing for a year.
I will be posting some new reviews up soon, but I do not have a lot of time, but I will get to reviewing Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band. I will also probably have a review up for Guitar Hero Aerosmith soon. I have not been playing a lot of Bad Company and FEAR Extraction Point, and I will play through Gears of War on the Xbox 360 soon. I will probably compare the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game when I review them. E3 is coming up, and I can't wait too see games such as Crysis Warhead, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Gears of War 2, etc. That's all for now.
Today I got 2 new games for my Xbox 360. I got Guitar Hero Aerosmith, with the Aerosmith Guitar. I have already beat the game on hard mode, but it was so fun that I'm going to go through again on expert. I'm going to try and unlock as many achievements as I can. The game is awesome, and I would rather have a Guitar Hero game that has less songs, but more that I like as oppose too a Guitar Hero that has a lot of songs, but not a lot that I like. I also re bought Gears of War for my Xbox 360. I loved the PC version, but there were a lot of problems with it, so I hot the new special edition of the Xbox 360 version with the bonus DvD that game with a bunch of stuff about Gears of War 2, and some free map packs and themes and gamer pictures. How I got a lot of money is by trading in a bunch of games that I don't play any more. I got about $220. I still have about $86.
I will probably have reviews up for Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band soon. I just finished reviewing Cabal online. I'm still playing Alone in the Dark. I have not been playing a lot of Battlefield Bad Company though. I was a bit disappointed with game. It has a so so single player so far. The multi player is good, but I can't wait for DICE to release the old multi player mode for it. Call of Duty 4 still remains supreme over all multi player games. E3 is just around the corner, and I can't wait for it. There is going to be a lot to show this year. That is a little update, about what is going on.
In my blog before, I said I would not be able to get Alone in the Dark til tomorrow. But the guy at Game Stop made a mistake, I got it today. Alone in the Dark for the Xbox 360 was what I got my dad for Father's Day. I played the first hour of the game with my dad, and so far the game is good. The controls are a bit funny at first, but after a while, you will get use to them. I only fought one enemy, most of the first level was a bunch of puzzles and a bit of plat former. The graphics look pretty good, and the fire effects are awesome. Fire looks real, and it gets bigger and spreads if you do not put it out. Like I said before, the game has some really weird controls. Sometimes the controls just feel funny, or they are a bit too sensitive. Over all, Alone in the Dark looks like it will be a pretty good game.
I'm sick of IGN's reviews. They give games way to high reviews, or way too low reviews. Like the reviews for Secret Agent Clank. Game Spot gave it an 8.0, and IGN gave it a 6.5. Another example is, IGN gave Guitar Hero on Tour a 9.0, and Game Spot gave it a 6.0. I heard some really bad things about Guitar Hero On Tour. Finally, IGN reviewed Alone in the Dark, and gave it a 3.5. Now I can see them giving it a 6 or something, but a 3.5. I mean, they were complaining about some of the graphic effects, and they did not say a word about GTA 4's graphics, when I heard that some of the things in GTA 4 look darn ugly. For special games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA 4, IGN acts like they are perfect. Not to mention that their review scale goes up bu .1's and not point 5's. None of the games that I gave a ten, are really tens, like Crysis and Cod 4. They are more like 9.9's and 9.8's. But not perfect. Any how, IGN sucks, I use too like their reviews, but they are taken it too far in terms of what games scores should be.
I can't wait for my Battlefield Bad Company gold edition to come in. I;m suppose to be getting it this week. Not to mention that I get $10 off it. Tomorrow, I'm going to see the movie Get Smart with a group of my friends. They movie looks pretty funny. That's all for now.
