    Grr To Activision....

First off, last Activision game I bought, Guitar Hero III. Not for any reason in particular, but just because most of the games they release don't appeal to me (and no Despite a previous blog, I never bought Call of Duty 4). So Ghostbusters was on its marry way to come out in October, and Brutal Legend later this year (if not early next), and now they ditch the titles.

This probably seems smart to them, stick with the demographic they already have, the bargain shelf dwellers, that can't wait for Spyro and crash to hit them. Yes Vivendi, keep making those games for the kids that save up their $1 a week allowance, or trade in their abused petz games to get a second hand bargain copy of. From what I understand Gamestops turn over new titles that don't sell to used games as well, and thats where these Spyro and Crash games are headed ALREADY.

So Activision Vivendi, you were probably about to tap into another demographic that would have completely embraced your new titles. Tough luck for me and you I guess.

Games I'm looking foward to the next couple months BESIDES Ghostbusters....

Madden 09, Rock Band 2, Spore, Skate 2....oh wait...Those are all published by EA....hmmmmm.....

    Halo, Schmalo.

    Halo. Yawn.

Everything is compared to this "new exciting game" while team fortress and counter strike have been kicking ass for years before bungie decided to release this pre-pubescent pleasing gimmicky franchise. No tactics, just power weapons that require little to no skill aiming and hitting.

    Again. Yawn.

The story isnt all that intriguing, the voice over has been lame, and the graphics have always been standard FPS style. My job requires me to know the ins and outs of the games, but halo is the one i will not touch.

Great you can stack a bunch of vehicles on top of each other and blow them up! Fun!

All you fan boys better finally recognize once this game is gone, there are games that are more fun, more tactical, and more skill requiring than the Halo series.

See yah on the battlefields on COH4. Thats where the men will be playing, while you kids keep playing in the Halo sandbox.

    Blue Dragon Tomorrow...Bioshock Rocks

Well, last post here (a while ago), I was pumped for Blue Dragon. Day before it comes out, I am fully engaged in Bioshock. The only reason i purchased a 360 last year was Blue Dragon and Bioshock, and unfortunatly they came out at the same 2 weeks. Shoot.

Bioshock is totally freaking crazy, great premise, great graphics, and a great setting. I really overlooked how well this game actually would turn out, and I have played it out NON-STOP. I haven't been this engaged in a video game, since Mario64. Yes, that long. I am on the last leg of the game, in time for Blue Dragon, but I am not at all sure I'll be able to give B.D. the time I just put into Bioshock.

Bioshock is freaking THE BEST game I have played in a LOOOONG time. Considering the only 1st person shooter I have played extensivley was Counter Strike, that should say a lot about this game. I really hope Blue Dragon can live up to its predecessors, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.

    We'll see.
