  Why downloadable game are the future

  If you guys haven't noticed, DL games no matter your system of choice have become a big deal as of late. Many devs have been remaking, or creating quality games while pushing the envelope on how big these game are. Nintendo will be releasing its Wii Ware channel this summer with Square/Enix working on some exclusive titles, Capcom is doing remakes of classic games Street Fighter II and Bionic Commando set for release this summer on XBL and PSN, and there are many more companies looking to break in this market, also Nintendo and Mircosoft are giving opportunity to amateur devs to get a shot to make smaller games, which is good for gaming as a whole. its good to see new ideas that big companies probably wouldn't give these projects a look. While Sony sees Blu-Ray disc the future of gaming, I think two generations from now we will be downloading our games, instead of buying them from stores. I may be wrong but the more casual gamers join our ranks, the more companies are going to make content accessible to these individuals, just my thought on the matter.
