Gaming Today

After reading today's news events - industry reaction to the Clinton Bill and NIMF, BioWare's contest, and Square's "Potion" - I simply couldn't help myself.
On the first issue, I'm probably biased since I'm 23, and I've played a number of Mature titles and have not had any trouble with the law. Some parents are super lazy, while others are not. The government is doing enough as it is, what reason(s) do they have to regulate interactive entertainment? I mean, what video games does Bush play?
I like what BioWare is doing with their contest - offering a job position in a red-hot industry. Too bad I'm not much of a writer, or much of a Neverwinter Nights player.
And Square's energy drink - Potion - just made me laugh. Not that it's sad or anything, I actually would like to try it. If only to say that I've had a 'Potion.' Personally, I'd like to see it bottled with random FF facts on the bottlecaps. That, and a "Hi-Potion" (2x serving), and an "X-Potion" (3x serving). I suppose if they made one that refreshed your mind, they'd call it Ether, right? Pretty soon we'll be seeing "Phoenix Down" caffeine tabs as well.

[Hopefully my future rants will be longer, more in-depth, and insightful.]
