Ok, im not saying gamespot sucks or anything like that but the way they rate games is "Questionable" to say the least. They gave Halo3 a score of 9.5 , after what was probably a week or so of playing.
Halo 3, is a great game, i have barely started it, but from what i see so far, this game isn't revolutionary enough to score a 9.5. especially after such a short time of being reviewed. it seemed like they are more like blindgroupy trend followers than, standout game raters. but the GOOD THING is, atleast they will give you the average rating of the critic's which is Makes up for this problem. but , it would be nice if some company out there, would be able to give fair scores that would sound right to everyone.
but enough about a game i haven't even beat. Other games, nearly a 4th of "GS the top 20 xbox" 360 games, are xbox ARCADE GAMES?!?, and they often give the games better scores graphic wise and tilt wise, than Most of the current games out for the 360.
All im sayin is that, there needs to be a change to how someone can rate a game, that can be used even years down the road. much like the 5star rating system of movies. a 4 star movie made in the 70's will still have as awesome a story line, just without the visual effects.
and whats c
