so i just found out that Ensiferum (my favorite band) as well as Amon Amarth (who is headlining, and also one of my favorite bands), Belphegor (an awesome band that i just recently got into) and The Absence (a good melodeath band from the states) are coming to Edmonton, and Calgary (both about an hour and a half from where i live) in October...now heres my problem; i don't have my drivers, none of my friends are really into Metal enough that they'd drive me...so if anyone knows anyone (or is) 18 or older, and lives in central Alberta let me know because i am not missing this, i highly doubt any of these bands will come to play in Alberta in the next decade lol.
also, i am making bacon flavoured vodka...my friend read in a Maxim magazine that if you put a couple stips of Bacon in a jar filled with vodka and let it sit in a dark place for 3 weeks, you get bacon flavoured vodka, and apparently its really good...we shall se i guess lol.
and i'm thinking of quiting my job. I might give my 2 weeks notice today, i've just had enough of the place, there is way to much drama, and bull**** that goes on, and half the people i work with are a bunch of dumb asses
i will use this picture to demonstrate my emotion during the entirety of MGS4
my ratiing for MGS4: 11/10
the extra point is for the smoking/drinking monkey. any game with a monkey that drinks and smokes is instantly awesome.
Afrikas where it's at ![]()
j/k
(obviously) from what i've read it's basically Pokemon Snap, except with real animals...WOOT
i am drunk. i am not goingf to lie, i was coming homne from work tonight (technivalcailly)last night) and i wa swalking byu a friends house who jus tso happenend to be having a party, so i ended up joining in (we played sociables, a drinking game)
and they picked on me, and kept on making me drink, and me being the light weight i am got hammered pretty fast lol. i walked home with a friend, we stopped at a gas station and i got some food, nd he got some smokes, this blog was very pointless, yet i felt the need to do so...carry on.
STAY METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
let me just start off by saying i'm a huge DBZ fan. I haven't watched the anime in ages, but DB, and DBZ wil always be 2 of my favorite anime, when DBZ: Budokai came out, i was in nerd heaven, ot was like a dream come true, then the second one came out, and it was even better then the first; more characters, stages, skills and techniques, then DBZ: Budokai 3 came out...i was blown away. not only is it the best DBZ game to date, it is one of the best fighting games to ever be released as far as i'm concerned, it's fast paced, technical, the special moves are bad ass, it's exciting, and most of all; it's fun. Then they started with that Tenkaichi crap...wtf? imo it was a major step backwards, sure having the entire stage to move around in was cool, but it got old real fast. After that i basically gave up on DBZ games, then i heard about Burst Limit, and i figured "meh, it's probably gonna be like Tenkaichi
...i wish it was like Budokai 3" then i finally looked up a trailer, and 2 or 3 gameplay videos last week, and i was fairly impressed, so yesterday i downloaded the demo, and i can safely say my faith in the DBZ franchise (as far as games go) is restored. It is very simmilar to Budokai 3, except with improved graphics, and some new fight mechanics (thats what i got from the demo anyways), i played through the Goku vs Raditz scenario about 5 times, and the Yamcha vs Saibamen one about 3 times. I plan on picking it up the day it comes out.
for anyone who is a DBZ fan, or fighting game fam (regardless if you like DBZ fan or not) i HIGHLY reccommend picking this up when it comes out, or atleast checking out the demo.
so i just got back from the concert (my first concert ever
) and god it was the most epic experience of my life...Firewind opened, they were ok, there were a few good guitar solos, the crowed wasn't very lively, and then it was Divine Heresy, the mosh pit was ****ing INSANE, it was like WW3, and then there was a wall of of death, and needless to say, some people got hurt
(i went to the bathroom during intermission, and there were tons of bloody kleenex's in the garbage
), and following Divine Heresy was Dark Tranquillity, who was AMAZING they started off with Terminus (Where Death is most Alive), and they also played Focus Shift, The Treason Wall, and a couple of other great songs (mostly from the Fiction, and Damage Done albums), they put on a great show, Mikael said several times how much he enjoyed the crowed, and he put on a great show, and then last but not least was Arch Enemy...the crowed went ****ing berserk when they played Ravenous, and Dead Eyes See no Future, there were 3 amazing guitar solos; one by Michael Amott, one by Christopher Amott, and then a solo by both of them together, and there was an amazing
drum solo to, towards the end, when i was thinking "damn, they forgot Nemesis", Angela said they have one more song to play...and guess what they played.
epic moshing ensued, and when the song was over and AE walked off the stage, the crowed cheered for atleast 5 minutes, and started chanting "ARCH ENEMY!" Chris came on stage and started playing a mellow solo, then Michael came, and joined in, then the drummer (whos name escapes me atm) started playing, and then the bassist came in, then Angela came on stage, and they played We Will Rise.
i bought a Dark Tranquillity shirt (has some skulls on the front, and tour dates in the back), and an Arch Enemy shirt (has the AE pentagram on the front, and on the back it says "PURE ****ING METAL"). I am really sore...my back hurts from standing so long, my head, and neck hurt from headbanging like a mofo, and my throat hurts from screaming at the top of my lungs, but i do not care, it was ****ing epic!
sorry if this blog post seems like i'm rambling...i'm been up for almost 24 hours, and i have lots of energy drinks in me, as well as some alcohol, and some second hand weed in my system...so i'm a little crazy right now![]()
