  Top 10 Gaming Franchises

  10] Mario

  - Simply put, to many great games in the franchise.

  9] Gran Turismo

  - Countless hours have been spent playing GT2 with my brother in the basement of are old house, great memories where made and what better game to play as a car enthusiast who is also a college student with no money.

  8] Uncharted

  - Just an amazing looking game, and the story is a blast to uncover. Tomb Raider may have gone downhill from what i remember as a child but this now fills the void. And after Uncharted 1 which was amazing i didnt know how Naughty Dog would 1 up it, but with 2 they blew it out of the water. Even the multiplayer was a blast to play.

  7] Metal Gear Solid

  - I did not get into the MGS series until the announcement of MGS4. But i must say MGS has aged well, playing through 1 and 2 was a blast as it is a truly unique gaming experience. Also the story it tells is unique and a plausible modern story.

  6] Grand Theft Auto

  - What better way to take out some aggression than a RPG-7, M4 Rifle, Uzi, Grenades and some Body Armour.

  5] Kingdom Hearts

  -I was skeptical of playing this game at first but after playing it for an hour the first time i could not put it down. the only problem with the franchise is spin-offs, give me KH3 now.

  4] Pokemon

  - Simply put there is no better game to play when you have a gameboy and sit must through 15+ hour car rides... Though now i fly more i have a emulator on my Droid X (i only play fire red on it which i own) and can speed the game up to 8x original so still can get just as much done i cant wait to get into pokemon white and soulsilver soon!

  3] Mass Effect

  - To me all of the Star Wars games have fell short of what i thought they could be, though KOTOR 1 and 2 are a lot of fun i wanted something more. To me Mass Effect has filled this void as i get to travel the galaxy with a new story and characters that i care about. Also i enjoy how the game almost demands multiple play throughs in order to get the definitive story.

  2] Zelda

  - With Zelda: OOT i could not put that down, when i was playing it as a child Link was amazing to me and the world that he lived in was awesome. That only continued with Zelda: Majoras Mask as i enjoyed playing as Gorons and so on, and the intrigue of the series has yet to stop.

  1] Final Fantasy

  -Final Fantasy X started it all for me, ever since then i have enjoyed many of the originals as well as newer ones. While some people may mark XII or XIII as the downfall of the series i still enjoyed them as they are unique gaming experiences and tell a engaging story each and every time.
