Well the first one is a song i already showed you guys it was called - "The Intro to The Valley Ahead" which originally was the introduction to my mixtape and was the first song i wrote when i started piecing together my mixtape. It was just a freestyle basically, it had some cool word play but it was too different from what people are used to. So as the first hear the mixtape (the first song) i decided to go harder make a stronger song with a hook and what not. So the new first song for the mixtape is just as the name titled, "Up and Rising".

Yup! I guess when you hit level 30 you are considered to be a gamespot Veteran! Wow and it took me 3 years to get up to this point loll. Pretty cool though i didn't think i was on gamespot this long. Anyhow as a small update we had our first snow day this year it was a blizzard but sadely by the time i woke up turned into regular rain : ( ..ah well.. Anyhow as a countdown of my school days left i have eight! I also checked out the studio and its amazing really big so me and Dave are soon to record there. Also i cut off the song , "The Valley Ahead" and im replacing it with a new song, "Up and Risin" like the mixtape name =D. Well just a small update here..i will be blogging soon .

There are spelling errors i need to go into that faze and fix it up but heres a ruff idea.

So as you guys know or well i mentioned this before i been struggle with a slight lateral lisp because of my braces a year ago have changed the positioning of my tounge, and i would only talk with my retainer on because i used that as a placing for my tounge to say the letter "S", "X", or "C", but i been doing very with my lessons and i am talking without a lisp and without my retainer now.

Anyhow i am thinking about ideas on what i should write to my mixtape like song topics, i wanna be very different then MAINSTREAM rappers today.

Electronic World - This is a pretty short song that i wrote, it is actually one verse, but i am going to try to fit a cool techno/rap beat in here, and find a cool futuristic sounding chorus, so it will go a long verse to chorus, or it can be chorus verse chorus. Not sure yet. But anyhow the song is about young kids now a days and how they are in love with electronics and they have to have everything new thing. I am not saying that i am not one of them. I kind of tied in a little story along with the song here, a young mother and her family, how her kids keep asking for new things that come out and don't treat her good. At the end of the verse or story for that matter i put a twist what happens to this young mother. I left along of things open in the air like if this mother had a husband, but for me when writin i wrote it thinkin she doesnt but i left in the open.

These rest are ideas so far, they are not titles of the songs or anything and they have not yet been written..

Political issues - Well this one i have got from watching a lot of the news with my parents, my parents watch Bill O' Riley who personally is a pretty nasty person, but he is a fair person where other news stations aren't. But the thing i dont like about him is that he cuts guest off and takes over when he doesn't agree with them. I am also putting down other news stations how they are clearly byass such as Fox. Also i am putting down Eminem how he made a song about Sarah Palin making her out to be a peice of meat..and how he has a very young adiuence and its not sending a good message.

The Bronx Bombers - Well i am a very huge Yankee fan, and rap has been basically some how dominated or tied in with basketball and rarely football but no other sport. When you think of a rapper you automatically infer they like basketball if not football. Kurtis blow made a song called "Basketball" well i am going to add a twist to my sports tie in here and talk about baseball..the yankees to be exact and all of baseball. Ill mention about Bob Mercer who passed away last year, Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson being the first black basbeball player to break the void.

Wold struggles - I would like to give a big aspect how currupt the world is and was, i am going to talk about big Leaders such as Martin Luther King, Gandi(if i spelled it right), some evil leaders such as Adolf hitler Uncle Sam the serial killer, and places in destruction such as Bablyon and Mexico with the drug issues. Of course a lot more but you get the idea here.

One place, One death - Everybody seems to be afraid to die because they are un-sure if Heaven and Hell are true or if you just die and thats it. Me, on the other hand i am very relgious and i am not afraid of dying i read various books where people have died and came back to life and seen inexplainable things, some call dying as "Going Home". Also there are very religious people in my family who are catholic and i dont believe in man made rules and boring constructed masses so i am Christian and they are very upset with me, but we both believe in one God and were both going to one place. I am going to give that some type of mention in here.

Summer - Summer has always been my favorite time of the year as it is for most kids because of no school, summer always gives me a magical feelings, the hot weather, the bees, the full trees, goin in the pool, playing basketball, hangin out with the family all day, sippin booze outside with my dad, walking the dog i jus want to put all these feelings in a song, so when its cold and winter i can hopefully play this song and get that feeling of summer all over again.

Life rewind - Music in general was so much better in the late eighties and EARLY 90s it was clean and overal made you feel good. I just want to talk about some leaders back in the day, and talk about how it was back then and child hood memories and how i wish that the time could rewind.

The Autistic Kid - This ones a story about an autistic kid whos parents trapped him up inside his whole life, and how he is a really good person with great excessive enery and struggles to express that emotion with other people, and the kid feels like a sheild is hiding is trapping in his feelings from being released.

Stage fright - This one is decaded to me, how i am afraid to do speeches in school and yet i want to be a rapper, and how stage fright can get the best of us and i am trying to break that void or else it will not lead me to success and its very important to get over "stage-fright".

The mix - I wanna to take a lot of old good shows choruses are tie it into a rap for motivation, like the Jeffersons "Were moving on up..to the top", or Threes companies theme song, "Come and knock on my door". Just take a bunch of these happy sounding songs and tie it all into motavation.

Caught up - Well this is an experience to me, these kids at school they started writing free**** and i kinda got drawn in. So i wrote acouple and then they didn't like the latest one that i did or whatever, anyhow they then said i "SUCK" at rapping. But you know what...i considered myself caught up...first off i am not a free****..what happens is free****s use all these big words and think oh look im an intellectual, im very intelligent. But you know what..it still sucks, on the count of yes your using big words but everything is made up and are your doing is just slamming you one opponent. Like i make your knees feel like jellow, or something lame like that. It sucks because you cant express your ideas and your not writing about anything in particular. So i told them im not going to free****because thats not what i do, im going to concentrate on my mixtape and own ideas.

Dreamin..of you - This is basically about a girl that i like NUFF said lmao.

Diversity road trip - Here is another story about if i just went on a road trip in my car ofcourse and recorded all the diversity i saw in the world. From people from Newyork, to Texas to all over the world. I was always interested in diversity so i thought i would expand on that.

Mellow it out - This is just a jazz background sound, played with some samples of Frank Sinatra in there with me rapping about how to mellow out using some techniques i took in a relaxation ****.i am also going to talk about some of the fights that i have gotten into because i havent YET learned how to control myself in those situations.

"Whats your name, whos your daddy" - This is a remix too the Zombies hit song, which two rappers have made remixes too one by Necro and the other by Kid Rizz i hate Necros cause it disrepect women so much. Anyhow i love this song so much i am going to chime in and make my remix to it.

These are just some of them, before i continue writing any i wanna think of some more ones that would really take you off guard.

Lol, i just realized that havent been on gamespot in like for ever and i havent been keeping up with my blogs. Like i havent done much programming in a while either i just been writin music lately im tryin to make a new mixtape. I also been seeing a speech therapist so im working on my lateral lisp which isnt a big deal, and im almost fixed it. So i really havent done much programming as ive said i just been into my music i like this new artist called K'naan he is really g00d. My birthday is this coming Friday, so i went clothe shopping with my mom to get some cool clothe, and i ordered two shoes off the interent..and im going to get my turntable and mixer on Friday!

Sorry i havent been active much on here...its just that...nothing really changes the offtopic formus are the same questions over and over and i just got sick of it.

So tomorrow i am going to a funeral and seeing my uncle ronny who died R.I.P. He will be in a coffin and i am nervous because I have never seen a dead body in person before! So it'll be interesting. My uncle died from massive amounts of heart attacks, i wasn't too close to him though.

Anyhow i started a game competetion on my college site (my second one) and i am on a team with my friend. We are making a remake to a 2D top-down alien shooter. So far we got the logo and it appears on the screen for 5 seconds and now we just displayed the main menu. Now im tryingt to get user input on the main menu and do some highlighting. Ill keep yall posted, but i haven't worked on the game play yet.

Here it is . Kinda of a far screen shot sorry. Anyhow i am working on sprites now and once thats done this weekend me and my friend will work on a small 2D weekend project. Can some body please give me a small idea on a game story, i need one for a 2D side scroller space shooter. This will be my first full game. Oh and on my tank program, i added collision so that when you go to far left, right, up, or down and you go off the screen i will stop input so it seems like your crashing to the wall - hence collision .

Hey everyone, so i been getting familiar with creating frame-rates and back buffers, and i can do some cool animation stuff now. Like take a word of text and have it roll from one side of the screen to the other, or have a word keep flashing different colors. I am basically justt taking text right now and trying different animations with them with the power of a frame-rate.Anyhow in a couple of days i will be posting a screen shot of a small little game i am making, you control a tank and can move around with it, and move the actual gun, and you can shoot with it.

Graphics -

Tank base = Rectangle

Tank top = Ellipse

Tank gun = Really thick line

Tank ammunation = Really small ellipses

The graphics will not be good at all, they are all shape. After that i learn sprites and bit masking, more of the good graphical stuff. Where i can start showing off some good 2D graphics.

So i finally went back from tutoring to regular school, i was going to post this blog the night before Monday, but it would only make me more nervous. So i went back Monday and i suprised all my friends and everyone game me hugs and hi-fives lol. So im finally getting used to things again. So yup now im back in school!

I also have that slight-lisp its not really a lisp but its so minor, im just going to find a speech therapist to concour this problem,hopefully itll take 1 month. I am doing this basically for my rap group i am in and recording. So thats basically step 1, for my music career.

Ok, so i been coding all week on chapter 16 which was sorta boring dialogs and all thats, and small windows. Now 17 is 2D gaming stuff, so i can start working on 2D side scrollers, biulding framerates and what NOT!!

As far as hip-hop stands right now its pretty horrible, its a mess. But i have been following up on a lot of the underground rap where i was quickly attracted to a lot of old school tracks and a lot of new techno/retro/new stuff it was very cool. I first noticed The cool kids a rapping duo considing of Mickey Rocks and Chuck Inglish, i saw them on a commercial and they sounded so unique. They had a hit single, "Black Mags" and it was very old school. So from their i started to follow them, they are very young and as i said in the underground so they just been throwing out mixtapes some other songs by them i enjoyed were - "88'", "Bassment party", "Loose wires", and a ton more.

Alot of there stuff they showed so far were very old stuff, and they have put out a ton of weak tracks. But they are saving up basically all there good stuff for there first official album thats coming, "When fish ride bicycles". So if you youtube them, youll find a lot of stuff on them, some very impressive good stuff, and a lot of weak stuff. But fournunally, so far all they been doing is throwing out old stuff and samples, till the album drops we will really get to hear some good stuff. To me there biggest success so far was Black mags, then would be 88'. and then pump up the volume. All unique songs and very good. Cool kids have a retro style, and rap old school mixed with techno and new sounds.

So the cool kids are currently in what i like to call a , "developing-process", they are in the underground, young, making mix-tapes, playing around with samples. All this small stuff, till they can blow up.

Another artist that tagged me along from the underground was Mickey Factz. Now this guy has been in the game a lot longer and is more lyrical then the cool kids, where cool kids as i've mentioned are more retro and about having fun. He also has crazy beats and does unique stuff, my favorite song by him is so far , "Automatic", he has even rapped over the cave-man song with, "You remind me". He is also having his first album coming out soon which is big! He has even made a song with cool kids called, "Rockin n' rollin". He has even combined rap with rock very nicely in one of his songs. He experiments with a lot of different styles, and is also part of "Developing-process". Both artist in what is called meta-rap, some call in the new school of hip-hop, which is currently rappers in the underground with - old school, techno, alternative/rock, and new stuff. All of them being extremely new and none in main stream yet.

Some other good cool kids songs - " Dreamin", "I got colors", and "2k pennies".2k pennies is actually in one of the NBA video games, and has been commercialized on TV.

Next up, there is Holleywood Holt, much newer (i think) then both artist i have mentioned before. Has made a couple good tracks not too much yet. I havent heard much that i have liked from these artist but they are also in the meta-rap -

Kid cudi, W.A.L.E and Blu, also i would consider lupe fiasco to be part of meta-rap, the one succeful one. Meta-rap needs to pull in more of these artist in the developing process. Then hopefully they will individually deliever and take over the radio. Cool kids should be the first to do so.

I would also like to be part of this meta-rap era, my artist name is U-LuV. Stands for universal - love and my album name would be Universal sounds. I am going to get some speech lessons, i met up with this kid who is just like me and loves old school and meta-rap, and has equimpent. So in a month or two we should be forming and recording. I am trying to get contact of the cool kids, to get tagged a long with them before they make it. Been getting close, with some people on youtube.

Then i got the cool kids EP album, an electric blanket, shoes, and a whole ton cloth! I also got a huge windows programming book that i will use aside from what is taught at GI. I mostly got a lot of cloth, i am making a new wardrope of all old school stuff, pretty much, meaning no baggy pants, straight-leg pants, and all the good stuff!

Gears of war 1 - I really enjoyed this game, although the game fell short, i was able to beat this game in around 5 hours with co-op from a friend. So doing this alone and not knowing the secrets and all that i imagine it would of been around like 7 hours possibly. The storyline doesnt have much background to it, but the characters were very funny and the dialouge was very good. The game also revolvs around a more realistic aspect with taking cover and all that. Overall a very good game.

Cant say much on the others because this is the only game that i've beat so far.

Oh so in my programming course, i will now start chapter 16 were i learn dialouge boxes and child windows, this is the last chapter of the NON-GAMING win32 stuff.

Sorry for being late on the paint program, i got some trouble with my recourse files and .rc files, so i spent a couple of days makin,fixing,and learning from my mistakes. Thats what took so long. Now this paint program is not a full program, its just a little program from chapter 15, i will definately be making one like in MS paint eventually. First i have to learn dialog boxes and stuff which is the next chapter!

A problem you will notice is that when you move the line and hits the bottom or end of the window, you may have it bounce into the middle of the screen. Whats happening is that the i use a macro to hold the mouse coordinates, and for some odd reason it cant hold a negative number and it doesnt know what to do with it but give it random numbers. There is another way my bud just figured out how to do, I can implement it, but it would only take longer, so for now that will just be a problem.

Another issue is that there is flickering in the program. You will see white flashes when drawing, that is actually the painting happening. In chapter 17 we learn a trick to fix this, where we paint to something call the back buffer, its faster and the human eye cannot see the speed of the paint being done, thus you wont see flickering.

So pretty much there is not much i can do with that problem right now even if i wanted to.

OH YEAAA

I didnt finish one sub-menu, on the edit-menu, its the clear screen one. I can easily take this out, but i already zipped the file up and uploaded it, so since this isn't going to be a finished professional program, i think itll be ok having that .Also the checking may be a bit off over there.

Tomorrow is my last day of tutoriing, after break i go back to real school. So i have to finish up my work tomorrow. Then tuesday i am cleaning my bassment because we are having Christmas Eve, so since i got no work now i can do that. I am going to bring my wii down with the wii zapper.
