The PetShop GAME(THAT WORKS) and some other stuff!

Sorry guys for not posting the game sooner, i just been a little busy. So here is the game, with the realease version -

    http://rapidshare.com/files/152825760/The_Pet_Store_game1.zip.html

Anyhow i hope that you like it! Tomorrow I am going to take my college credited exam, I should get three college credit! So, thats real cool, then i can jump into the next module!

Also i have a good chance of winning the game challenge, because only 2 other people entered and they were all console-based. Usually theres like 8 - 10 entries that are console,2D,3D. So i guess i lucked out.

My next blog will probably be how i did on the exam and if i one the game challenge or not.

As i mentioned the game can still crash, i am excited to learn exceptions, so i can make professional programs. After i finish the console chapters of module 2. I will very quickly make a hang man game, and post it up here. My guess it'll take three days!

So there are still a lot of courses and stuff for me to do. I like to break it down , by tomrrow ill be 100 percent done with module 1. And i then i am going into module 2, that should take me all the way till late December i imagine to finish. Then i want to spend the next month possibly learning sound programming, and other stuff. Then i will work on game challenges and small 2D games. Then eventually create a big 2D game.

So then by March for my birthday, ill probably go into the graphics series. There is two graphics courses , I think they are working on third. Thats all 3D stuff. That should take me far into next year.

After that, ill probably learn 3D max, get into art work and animations. So i can make characters and not use them from packages, and create cut-scenes. Eventually learn networking.

Then ill just be making 3D games!

    The Pet shop RELEASE VERSION

Before i think you had to have the same compiler as me, so i made this the release version and not the debug version. So you non-programmers should be able to play this- play the .exe.

The Road from the Console-window to Windows

Ok so basically im going to look at it at parts till i get to windows. First things first i got to get my college credit for module 1 C++, so im sheduling the test for next Saturday and im taking it easy till then.

After i then start module 2 and learn Templates, but i look foward to learning exceptions because at that point i could make what i like to call "Professional" and "Un-Crashable" programs.

Then i have a chapter on some Binary, and bit shifting and bit-masking, then the last chapter is STL Primer (i think).

After that the console chapters are done and i take my mid-term. Then im going to make my Hang man game. As my final console game.

So breaking it into main keypoints -

    1. Module 1 credit exam

    2. Start module 2

    3. Exceptions

    4. Finishing the console chapters

    5. Mid-term

    6. Hang man game
