  Life the universe and videogames

  Evening to all of you reading my post. Hope the financial crisis is finding you well. I've been fine, though I do feel dissatisfied with society and it's inhabitants (That doesn't mean you guys, we're a breed of our own), I think Ill look into parkour as an escape. But yeh speaking of the financial crisis, guess how much I lost...My Commonwealth bank colledge fund shares lost 15000 dollars of value. Luckily it doesn't really affect me now so I'm alright.

  I've moved forward quite substantially in the videogame sense since my last blog. Ill go chronologically; I got Dead Space for my birthday(yeh they gave in). It was a very good game but I found that the fear and gameplay was kind of ruined by the fact that I followed the hype and watched almost every gameplay video in existence. The first twio chapters were intense scary and fun, while chapters 3-8 were rather boring and un-scary. But it really picked up towards the end. Theeen.... upon returning from the central coast and getting to an EB, I bought myself an 85 dollar preowned copy of FALLOUT3. That is very close to being the single best videogame I have ever played. It was so immersive that on the second night of my playing it, I literally could not sleep because my dreams were haunted with images of my inventory and the VATS system. It just gets into your skin that much. I'm sure I'll post a review soon.

  Then I bought anchorage...Bit of a swing and a miss there. I was really hoping for something resembling the game which stole a good portion of my life. But yeh there's no reeal reason to buy it unless your just hunting for XP. I'm gonna try and bridge the gap between now and broken steel(I know there's The Pitt but I need to get Steel first) by buying(and playing) the original Fallouts.

  And to finish off, This is my wish list which I hope to fulfill before my next blog(In order of urgency [god videogamers are materialistic]):
  .Fallout 1 and 2
  .Bioshock
  .Gears of war (at least rent it)
  .Mass effect

  And now for the real world. I've been doing rather well in school. I got like this "runner up" science award, and almost got the maths award(99% to the MAX). The less we talk about RE and the other pointless subects the better. Oh and while I was at the central coast I got 3 red rings of death. yeh, that popped out of nowhere one morning. I just turned it off, removed everything and cried for a couple hours and when I turned it back on it seemed alright. Still in the swimming team and I'm doin alright-ish. Still can't get my Free under 33 but I've slammed my Back down to 38. Also I'm able to finish a full 50 of butterfly which is pretty good too.( you see the way I used the proper lingo up there? makes me sound pretty proffesional despite the fact that Im not that good)

  I've discovered the literature of Asimov. He's pretty good at what he tries to do....e..I made myself a BEBO. one of my friends sent a friend request so I thought I'd make one. I'd tell you all my username but A) I forgot it. and B) There's nothing of use on there...... And NO I do not have a girlfriend yet please stop asking.......Youtubers are douchebags.(am I allowed to say that word?) I made myself a profile(crudmanIV if anyone wants to know) and the first comment I made was replied with the words "Go F*** youself you c**ksucking prick Sensitive issues much.......Finnally I have to say, I do not care for network television(thats the six channel ABC,SBS,TEN thing right?). Have you ever just sat down and watched that ****. And the ads, are just awful. Do they think were that easy to brainwash?

  I hate ending these blogs coz I could probably just talk about my life for ever. We'll see you guys next time I have something to say. Enjoy your lives and try not to hurt yourselves.

  I think you should sit down for this.

  Morning all. How nice of you to read my blog.

  Well, I think it's about time I made a blog, seeing as I havent made one for a month or two.

  I think the first and most important piece of news I have to tell you is that I got my first moderation on gamespot the other week. It was in a forum about immersive games when I inadvertently spoiled a certain game by saying that a certain person di*d. Fortunately I had no points loss but it's still pretty startling, it's just like getting yelled at by a teacher.

  Theeeen.... Just after buying fc instincts predator I went to (don't even think about modding me)Dick Smith electronics and got myself an ethernet cable for my 360. YAY!! It worked and I've been liking it so far. The problem with it is that Ive got this wimpy little 256mb memory unit so I can barely hold one video and can't get any good demos. Another negative is that when trying to get multiplayer matches, I keep dropping out(maybe it's because we've got a 27 kb per second internet speed. It's strange because we've got a limit of 12 gb but I doubt we could even download that in a month). If anyone reading this wants a friend please PM me and Ill try to add you.

  I downloaded a braid demo and I wasn't that impressed. Maybe just the first 2 levels sucked but I couldn't see anything special about the time travel and the platforming is average. Alien homonid is great and funny, but a bit too hard(Newgrounds, your up there with rockstar in my mind. Way to go).

  

  Umm... in the real world I have joined the school swimming team and so I'm having to get up at 5:30 3 days a week to get to training in the freezing school pool. (Yes, I'm sure your all thinking I'm insane for doing this but you've never had pecs like these)
  My sister got her red P plates so thats great for me coz Ill be able to go videogame shopping at least 2 times as much.
  School's going good, I think I'm gonna get the maths award, so I'm pretty happy right now. The worst part is that reports are due in this week so there's no more tests or assignments to do (no that's not what I mean) even though we've got 5 weeks left. There's just no reason to go every day.
  I got a pretty good new dead space wallpaper for my laptop. I'm writing this on another computer so I can't show you the reaL thing but this is the image I used.

  (Pretty good yah)

  Speaking of Dead Space, today I was gonna get it, but I aked my mum if she would let me buy a game with strong horror violence and she didn't really like the idea. So instead I stayed at home and wrote this. She says I might be able to get it some time near christmas. Too bad my dads in perth for business because hes much cooler about that kinda stuff.
  Talking of christmas, my parents (oh sorry, SANTA) have agreed to get me a 120gb hard drive for my 360. And then 2 weeks after christmas it will be my 14th b'day.

  Finally watched all of dead space downfall this week aswell as the animated comics. I tried to youtube downfall but the second half of it gets banned. Luckily there were some devoted people out there who had links to this site (thanks alot Munchmeeh wherever you are) http://www.youtube.com/user/munchmeeh and then http://deadspacedownfall.multiply.com/video It's a great movie though massively gory. (Even I couldn't watch when the girl was getting cut in half, even I have limits). (sorry for the google stock images)

  I think I'm gonna sell my old Ps2 and all my games. So if anyone wants to buy a 5 year old ps2 and 12-15 games drop me a line.

  Thumbs downing

  Come On! People here are so blind to the truth and they dont let others say anything bad about their favourite game. This goes back to my first review of Metroid prime3 corruption. No-one read what I had written, they just thumbed me down as soon as they saw the 1abysmal rating(except for you colnel ferret, you gave a polite argument that shut me up quite effectively)1 out of 14 recommendations so far! But more to the point, I recently said this after watching the newest far cry2 video: Those characters or NPCs or whatever they are, remind me of the way people looked in GTA San Andreas. They just had the same comical look/way of talking. So far 6 people have thumbs downed me and I really dont see why. Is it negative to say that the way one game draws its characters looks similar to another's? And then, on another FC2 video, The Ultra posted this: character movements look awkward when you watch it in 3rd person??? am I the only person who see that? its like a old ps2 game. and kneeling looks completely awkward and uncomfortable for the character (there is a 7:33 video on youtube). I can see why there is not much multiplayer footage. multiplayer character animations are hideous. disagree with me. Nine People thumbs downed him and the post was hidden from view. Now that is just freikng ridiculous. What is wrong with writing a completely objective statement?(yes I know some parts of it were a question, I may be topping maths but I'm barely passing english) You guys suck, except for you guys, and your pretty cool too, no, I don't like you, oh your really cool.
