After hinting and delaying the announcement of the next installment in the Street Fighter series for a couple of weeks Capcom finally decided to announce that SSFIV will most likely arrive in Spring 2010. And boy im excited. Street Fighter IV is awesome and I believe the followup will be better. You guys dont understand how pumped I am for Dee Jay!!!!
Things Im excited for:
New characters, Dee Jay and T. Hawk especially.
More than one ultra for each character.
Glad that I wont have to pay 60 bucks for the game, probably 40 dollars.
People who keep their SFIV disc get a suprise. Im guessing alternate costumes. (I dont sell my games, and never wud.)
The supposed online modes that they are adding, ehem quarter match.
Capcom said they wud balance out priority moves and matchups.
Now I expect somethings to be fixed up:
Sagat- His moves have way too much priority and damage. Normals like standing roundhouse, crouching fierce and many jumpins are very good. Ultra juggles on anything, and has too much health compared to the other fighters and does way too much damage. I believe that Sagat is overpowered and broken.
Ultras- Some characters can barely land an ultra while other like Sagat, Ryu, and Rufus have multiple ways of landing their deadly ultras which is why all three of these characters are top tier in Street Fighter IV. Guys like Guile, Honda, Fei Long have no viable options in which they can land their ultra, unless they bait another into a well timed focus attack. Capcom definitely has to make some of the characters at least have one way to land their ultra, so they can compete with the top and upper tiers.
Online play- Street Fighter IV like the other games in the series is a game where you need precise timing to nail moves and combos. But when there is lag involved it makes it a lot harder. I dont want to blame lag when i miss a reversal move, or block low instead of high but it seems that imput lag is a factor. Capcom please fix the netcode so we players who cant attend tournaments, and dont have friends to play with offline can improve online just like they were playing beside a person.
Quarter Match- It was featured in hd remix and MVC2 but not SFIV, im expecting this to come with the game.
Matchups- Some matchups are way too hard for characters. Since one of the characters I use is Abel I hope they help improve some of the rough matches that he has.
Recording mode: I would love to record matches that I have offline and online like Halo 3 has. I think it would be neat because I can actually learn from constant mistakes that I make and study from them, and save them to my PS3 hard drive.
Anyways thats it basically for that. I need to get better before it gets onto shelves.

Haha its weird that im writing a blog after a year and a half of not writing blogs on Gamespot at all. I still check the site every now and then but nothing like before. So whats there to say? All I have to say is Street Fighter!!! I love the series and love how its a game where you know you've practiced and played a lot but get owned by someone not knowing what to do.
The main point of this blog is to get better at Street Fighter. So im accepting all challengers for SFIV and HD remix. My rules are first to 10 best of of 5 rounds.
PSN: Fighter21
Awaiting all challengers. (I dont have a camcorderfor videotaping but i will be posting allmy wins/losses and other stats onmy gamespot profile page.)

How have you guys been lately? Well i have been doing well not really involving gamespot but just i guess my everyday life. Its been hard lately to come on to gamespot and relax and enjoy it with writing blogs, reading and writing in other peoples blogs, watching the gamespot content and keeping up with video game news. Last Saturday I went out and preordered Metal Gear Solid 4, and bought a Dual Shock 3 Controller. If you are looking into buying one, dont worry because right now there isnt that much of a need for it, because COD4 doesnt have rumble. But ive been thinking about going through Uncharted again with the rumble controller. The controller is noticeably heavier than the sixaxis controller, you'll realize this when you first pick it up and hold it in the palm of your hands. Also the rumble is lighter. Its more of a vibration than a rumble, which is fine for me. I didnt play Uncharted that much so i didnt test it out. But as soon as I start ill start reporting a little more on it.
Today was a weird day because it was Junior Prom. I decided not to go, just because I didnt feel it was necessary. I never actually thought of asking any girl, plus the money that I would have to spend. 200 dollars for me and my date. Money for renting a tuxedo, and possibly a limo to get there. But its okay because I went to the movies straight after school ended and 12:00 with 3 of my friends. We saw Iron man, it was a very good movie the story plus the acting and quality of the movie were all phenomenal. Go out and see it you wont regret it. After the movies I went to a Gamestop located in the mall and bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3. Ive never played it before, so 40 bucks seems like a good deal to me.
I played some Ninja Gaiden, and so far its very good. I have no problems with it except for the camera.
See u guys later, hopefully i can get back to gamespot more often than i have been lately.

I finally bought some games.
I went to gamestop on Saturday and used my Gamestop gift card on Contra 4 (DS) and Professor Layton (DS). I originally intended to save these for a big road trip that I am taking to Montreal. But I was too anxious and decided opening Contra 4 and saving Professor Layton for the trip. So far Contra 4 is really good and hard. I did beat it on easy though on Sunday night, using up only one continue. Hopefully I can beat normal soon because on easy you dont get to play the last two stages. I unlocked the challenge mode which is also sweet and pretty hard. I love this game, and it is a great DS purchase for anyone who likes hardcore 2D side scrolling shootem ups.
I went to a Sweet 16 later that night, which was the other highlight of the weekend. I had so much fun, and Im glad I went.
That was my weekend and its purchases.

I finally got my drivers permit.
What do I think about driving?
I find driving very fun and easy, especially if the car is an automatic transmission. A little nerve recking at first when you put your foot on the pedal and actually drive.
In 6 months I will get my license on September 29. 2008. One of the best parts about it is that I will finally be able to get mature games without being there with my mom or sister to approve of it.
Hopefully these next six months will pass by fast.

I had the chance to play Super Smash Bros Brawl today for the first time.
Let me just say it is Super Smash Bros, if you loved the past games you will definetly enjoy this one. The older characters basically have all of the same moves from past games. The new characters I played Pit, Lucas, and Diddy Kong were each fun, although Lucas played a lot like Ness. (By the way Ness is my favorite character in the game.)I enjoyed the Smash Special addition to the game, a golden like ball is dropped unto the map, whoever destroys it, and presses the B button has complete control as their player either does an automatic move or you end of having to do the move manually, it all depends on the characters move or moves. Let me just say that the move is deadly so it is key to get the smash ball. I got to play the adventure mode co-op and let me just say it seemed more of a burden than something fun and enjoyable. It seemed very repetitive and annoying at times.
The graphics are nicely updated for the Wii, and it plays in a clean 480p. No problems with that.
Sounds, sound the same. The characters all have their nice voices, and their are a lot of each of those characters tunes.
I had a lot of fun with it, as multiplayer is just a joy ride.
This is one of the best fighting game series around and if you have a Wii you should definetly buy it. Im kindve wishing I bought a Wii because I love the franchises on it, and third party support is getting better with new releases No More Heroes and Bully Scholarship Edition. But I felt the same exact way with the X360 when Halo 3 came out.
What am I playing?
Well, I never had the chance to play GTA San Andreas so im playing that. It is an amazing game with so much depth to it and so much to do. Also, Im still playing COD4. Im a lvl 20 in prestige and plan on getting to 55 at least once more. Im playing some UT3 here and there and a good fast paced FPS.
Wishlist
Burnout Paradise (PS3)
GTA IV (PS3)
RBSV 2 (PS3)

This is what has been going on the last four days.
Friday: My friend just got his Xbox 360 repaired and fixed up on Thursday. He wasn't mad at me on Friday at all and wanted to hang out. So he picked me up in his BRAND NEW 2008 MUSTANG!!!! Its blue with two white stripes going down from the middle, V6 engine, two door. That's all I know so far but I will ask him questions if any of you would like to know more about it.
So we went back to his house and played some NBA Live and Halo 3. This time I didn't break his 360, and I had a great time.
Saturday: I finally got to lvl 55 in CoD4. It took me about 1 day and 15 hrs. I think I am going to do prestige mode at least one more time before I put it down because I have other games I want to get to and others I want to buy.
Sunday: Didn't really do anything, which was good. I finished my homework on Monday, when I shouldve done it today.
Monday: I was heading to lunch when one of my friends came up to me and told me that Dikran got arrested for robbery. He also told me that there was an article and video on news12.com. I was in shock. I wasn't close friends with him but I knew him very well, and even if there were warning signs it was sad to see it happen to someone that you know. Well how do I know him, since me and my friend are Armenian and he is Armenian we know of him in the Armenian community. I hadn't seen him for at least 4 years but I had seen his mom a couple of times over the last 2 years.
So, I went on telling some of my other Armenian friends about what happened and they had felt saddened and shocked just like I had been. I rushed home, I couldn't find the article but somehow my little brother found two.
His full name is Dikran Yakoubian. His name is spelled wrong on 12news.com
Note* I put the second article up on Gamespot because I couldnt get it to work on some computers without some sort of subscription code. The video is after the second article.
First Article:

Second Article:
Hackensack police: Phony cops swindled prostitutes
(02/29/0
HACKENSACK - Police have busted four men they say posed as cops and pretended to bust prostitutes in Hackensack. Christopher Gordnick, Dikran Yakoubin, Alain Martinez and Michael Sarmadi are each charged with robbery and impersonating a police officer.
Authorities say the motive of the alleged impostors was to rob victims that wouldn?t be willing to go to the police for help. ?We believe it was targeted as prostitutes ? probably because they were victims who would be reluctant to come forward,? says Chief Ken Zisa, of the Hackensack Police Department.
The men were arrested after allegedly robbing two women of $200 at a Best Western on Route 4. According to police, they used replica badges to bully women they arranged meetings with online.
Police believe the suspects may be involved in dozens of similar schemes throughout Bergen and Passaic counties. Three of them are already facing charges in Clifton as well.

I am pretty upset right now. I had a basketball game today, and we lossed in the first round of the playoffs to the worst team in the league. We had a #4 seed in the playoffs, so we werent expecting to lose in the first round.
Anyways Im glad to see that the PS3 is coming around with the good news. It cant get better than MGS4 in a PS3 bundle with the new Dual Shock 3 Controller. For those people who dont have a PS3, June is going to be a great time to buy one. Take advantage of the great deal. Also Haze is finally coming around with the announce date in May. Hopefully it will live up to hype and be a great first person shooter for the PS3. Honestly it doesnt get better than 2 PS3 exclusive third party titles. In such a short time from today and from each other.

Things have been weird lately, and since Im really not in the mood for writing so much ill make it short.
I broke my friends Xbox 360 a week and a half ago. I was surprised, embarrassed, confused and mad. Suprised because I broke it in such a strange and unintentional way. Embarrassed because I was the one to break it. Confused just because it didnt just work to well, and mad because thats what happens when you break something.
We just finished a game of Fifa 08, and my friend told me to choose what game to play next. I scrambled through the games, and opened the Halo 3 box. This is when it got complicated, instead of ejecting the disc, accidentally I turned it off. Realizing my mistake I quickly pressed the game disc ejector and the 360 got the RROD. And it was dead. I felt sorry, and I apologized, confused and at disbelief. I could tell he was mad, and blamed me. And since then I still have mixed feelings about what happened. Whether to blame myself, the 360 or my friend for getting too mad when it was probably going to break anyways. But either way, I got my friend pissed, broke his 360, and frustrated myself.
Luckily break came, it hasnt been too exciting but its a solid one.
Ive been playing a ton of Call of Duty 4, and now im at lvl 48. Hopefully ill get to lvl 55 by the end of break.
Working out, and chilling with some other friends.
I played some UT3, and so far so good.
Burnout Paradise is the next game on my wishlist, and hopefully ill buy it soon.
Hopefully the week will gradually get better as it has been good so far.

It was 14-10 Patriots when things got very stressful late in the game with 2:35 on the clock. I was going crazy and everyone else at the party was just as much. The huge 4th 1 Brandon Jacobs one yarder was big. The 25 yard pass from Eli Manning to David Tyree after almost being sacked was so amazing the Giants couldnt lose. And then Plaxico Burress TD made everything amazing. 35 seconds left and basically there was nothing the Patriots could do. AND THEY LOSSED 17-14 to the NYG. Me and my friends all ran outside without our shirts onto the road, yelling and screaming. Definetly the Biggest UPSET in NFL and Sports history.
Like my friend said: 18 WINS AND ONE GIANT LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!
Ill Catch you guys later.
(O ya TheCarl owes me a nice long blog post about the recognition of the Giants. We made a bet and I won!)

Ive waited 5 long years for the Giants to get this far. They werent even supposed to get past the first round, and no one gave them a chance. Still no one expects them to win, but I deeply believe they have what it takes to win Super Bowl XLII.
Anyways, if and when watching the game remember that the Giants are a team of mainly average players a couple of all star players but mainly average players. The Patriots on the other hand are a team full of spectacular players, that have been in Super Bowls in previous years and expect to win this one.(They are cocky, they play dirty and are cheaters of some sort) Root for the Giants to defeat the 18-0 Patriots!!!!!!!

Hey Gamespot, I would just like to write a couple of things and keep my blog going.
Alex Navarro was the man. One of the best reviewers Gamespot had, and seeing his career at Gamespot come to a halt so abruptly just makes me feel worse about the future of Gamespot. But seeing Alex leave doesnt make everything so bad. I'll probably still hear about him as I am following his blog like I have been following Jeff Gerstmann's blog for well over a month. So anyways good luck Alex in the future, we wish u the best.
Games I am interested in 2008 of Q1
Burnout Paradise
DMC4
Haze
Ninja Gaiden DS
Advance Wars Days of Ruin
I will be looking into these games for my first purchases of 2008.
After a long and hard basketball game I had today, I need to play some COD4 and get rest. Peace.

As a New York Giants fan this is probably one of the best and most memorable days of my life being able to see the NY Giants get to the Super Bowl. Me, my brother and my friends were going nuts, as the game went on.
We made an agreement a week before about how we were going to do something if the giants made it to this years Super Bowl. For now im going to keep it a suprise. Hopefully I'll be able to get a picture.
So long until then.

Its been a long time since I last posted. And in this blog I will basically be going through the days since Christmas and how I have been filling my time up. So let me start.
I played Uncharted until the 28th of December when I went off to Toronto. I had a lot of fun in Toronto I met new people and just got to know some people that may be my in laws in the future. So anyways I got back on the 1st of January. On the 4th of January I beat Uncharted, and I loved the adventure as long as it lasted. I recommend this game to anyone who loves adventure games, and likes movies like Indiana Jones. The graphics are gorgeous, climbing is a lot of fun even though it is very simplistic. Gunplay is great with the cover mechanics leading the way.
I opened up Call of Duty 4 the following day and ever since then I have been hooked. I played the campaign on hardened I beat it right when I got home from school on friday. About 10 minutes later I jump into my first online match, and ever since then Ive been hooked to CoD4. Even though most of the people in my school who have this game have it on the X360, I have had some fun with a couple of my friends and my cousin in team deathmatch and headquarters. This game is definetly one of my favorites ever, I dont think I have ever played a game so deep, addicting and fun. And proudly I declare it as my 2007 GOTY.
So that wassome of the stuff ive been busy with,these are some of the highlights and some other big stuff that I did and experienced these past weeks;
Seeing the CN tower in Toronto.
The ending in Uncharted Drakes Fortune.
Failing Through Fire and Flames on Expert terribly!
Playing in my Church bell choir, (click for video im the4th one from right to left. (Its blurry so you cant really see me but you can still hear us playing.)
Playing Rock Band for the first time with some of my friends. What agreat game. *I enjoy singing for some reason.
Beating the sniper mission on hardened in CoD4. (My favorite mission in the game)
Seeing the New York Giants pull an UPSET over the Dallas Cowboys!!!!!!!! (When I saw the interception by Mcquarters, I went crazy. I was yelling, screaming and jumping up and down. I even ran outside for some odd reason. Anyways it was a great moment.
Going 4-0 in my first four rec basketball games of the reason.(We are tied for first place.)
