I'm sure you all know my son, Matt. He had many IDs, most known as Dirk4MVP. And surely you all know the success he had with that account before he was banned. And now, him and most of his friends are getting banned by those Tv.com mods, so it is making it harder to contact with his online friends now. But just recently, he created a new website for the Fighting Weasels. It is more of a forum board than a website, but the sky is the limit considering the forum has a quote button, you can create polls in topics, move topics, subforums, and more. Excluding him, there are only five other members. He said not even Fighting Weasels had to join, since there are plenty of off-topic forums, etc. to post in. But please, help my son. Please make it easier for him to contact with some of his old friends from his Dirk4MVP account again. Make the seemingly impossible, possible. Thanks for reading.

Well, it seems like it's been eons since I've written a blog - March to be exact. My son has been threatening to log on as me and write one for me if I didn't get the lead out, lol. So here it is. I bet he will be shocked when he logs on and finds a blog by Mom.
Where to start?
First off, it seems like these months just go by like a blur. *A warning to you teens out there - the older you get, the faster time goes by, so enjoy yourselves and don't be in a hurry to grow up. * Just call me Dear Abby, lol.Well, I guess most of you guys are finally out of school. Matt and his sis have been out since May 22nd - already three weeks.

We've been pretty busy with his sis' softball games, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Her team ended the regular season with an 8-2 record, though we are replaying one of the teams tonight because they were being whiny babies -- actually, during the last game, after they batted first in the first inning, one of their coaches came up and said he noticed that the distance from the pitcher to the batter was off and that if we won, they wre going to protest our win. We offered to let them bat again, but the umpire said no, couldn't do that. We even offered to let our kids bat a round, with the measurement off. No, couldn't do that either. (And actually, our kids only made one point that inning) So we'll replay them tonight. I still think we'll win because our girls are good.

After tonight, we will go to the playoffs on July 7th, and will be guaranteed to play two games. (Wish us luck!)
As I mentioned before, the kids have been out 3 weeks so far, but they've already been talking about being bored. Matt says he misses his friends - but not school. Guess I can relate.

But we finally got a chance to take a little vacation last week. You may already know if you've been following Matt's blogs. We went to a waterpark resort. It's been open just since this past January. It was really nice - and fun!! We stayed in a room that had a separate "kid cabin" area for the kids with a set of bunk beds, one other bed and their own tv. I told them that was no fair, that us parents wanted to trade places with them.
I don't remember there being so many "neat" things when I was a kid, though in fairness to my parents, we did have our share of vacations and fun.
I'm sure Matt has already told you that I got scared on one of the water rides. He, his dad and sis rode a lot of the water slides. I wouldn't ride them, but when his Dad and little sister went back to the room, I decided I would try one of them just once (just to say I rode it, ha). It was one of those that you ride down on a tube.
Now mind you, I rode many water rides as a teen, but add 25+ years since then, and I swear, they just ain't the same as they used to be. As I climbed the stairs to the top, my heart started racing wildly. I told myself to calm down, it's just a silly water ride, for goodness sake! I boarded my tube and held on, waiting for the guy to give me the green light to go, and I was off!! I admit it!! I was scared sh*tless, pardon my french, lol. I cussed to myself all the way down and even spun halfway around.
I was afraid I was going to come out backwards, but I got myself turned around before I got there. I was so glad to be off that ride and stuck to the swimming pools after that. You guys just wait - in 25 or 30 years, those rides may not seem as fun! But they didn't seem to affect my husband the same way.
He had a blast on them. Oh well. And then of course, there was the arcade and the gr8 tech room (with laptops and x-box games, etc.) That was fun too. Overall, it was a great vacation. It wasn't a long trip which made it more relaxing and everything was there at the lodge. Didn't have to do all that driving to get from point A to point B.
Maybe we'll take another one or two mini-trips this summer. Not for sure yet. Hope all you guys are having a great summer so far. Talk to you later!
G'day mates!!

Hi guys. I see everyone's playing the tag game and I thought I'd play too.

Let's see....let me things of five interesting facts about myself....
1. I had a terrible phobia of stinging insects growing up. I'm still a little scared of them but not as much.
2. I am left-handed. Any lefties here?
3. I played in the percussion section when I was in school band for 7 1/2 years. I played a lot of the auxillary instruments. My last couple of years, I played the xylophone. Had to march with that big heavy instrument strapped to me and it weighed like 28 lbs.
4. Some of my favorite hobbies are gardening, watching a good movie and spending time with family.
5. My favorite colors are red and purple.
Well, those are a few cookiefoot facts.
Guess you guys heard about Dirk's night at the dance. I think he's still got his head in the clouds, ha,ha. I'm sitting here at my laptop in the dining room and he's over there playing Sim City 4. And again, just to clarify, his Dad and I did not hang out at the dance all night. The dance was from 6 pm to 9 pm so we dropped him off a little after 6 pm and we went and ate at the little restaurant there in town. After that, it was about 7:30. We debated about going home but since his school is a 20 minute drive from our town, we thought it'd be a waste of time so we took Dirk's little sister to their school playground. It was lit up so she was able to see. It was funny. We were sitting there in our van, and all of a sudden, I saw this figure in my rearview mirror running toward us. It scared me but it turned out to be Dirk's Athletic coach. He was playing with his little son. I don't think he expected anybody to be in the van because we were just parked there. He seemed a little flustered but he was in a good mood. He is usually more prim and proper. Anyway, he said we ought to go over to the dance - that the kids were having a blast and that more parents were there. This was about 8:20. Well, I didn't feel right about going in and imposing, so we just hung out in the parking lot until 8:45. And that's when we made our appearance. We even tried to be inconspicuous, but wouldn't you know it, Dirk's principal pointed us out to Dirk!! Anyway, I think Dirk had a really good time. It's funny because all the kids were saying that they weren't going to go because of girls breaking up with them. However, most everybody was there and everybody was dancing. It was a really good turnout and I think the teachers were glad that the kids really had a good time.
Well, since basketball season is over with, we'll have more time at home, unless I can talk Dirk into playing baseball, but I doubt it, so I'm not going to press him. His sister may play though.
Guess that's it for now. Later folks!!.

Okay guys, yeah, it's been a while since I've blogged. So much to do and so little time, but I always like to drop by when I can. As Matthew told you, my husband had been in the hospital recently, so that's kept us going a lot. He's okay. It wasn't anything serious, thank goodness, but he did have to get 2 units of blood. And then there's the kids basketball games and religion ****s....

Anyway, there is a SPECIAL reason for this blog today. It is Matthew's birthday!!
My son is growing up!! *sniff, sniff*
Where does the time go?!? I tried inserting a baby picture of him up above. I'll see if it works. It didn't work.
I'll see if Matthew can help me with it later. He was about a year old in this picture and already finding electric cords!! Had to keep a close eye on him at this age. Did he ever tell you guys about the time he put his wooden blocks in the microwave? His Dad and I were having a discussion at the time when all of a sudden we noticed smoke coming from the kitchen!! OMG!! It was the first time Matthew learned how to turn the knob to the microwave!! Yes, kids definitely keep you on your toes but they are always a blessing. I just wanted to dedicate this blog to him and celebrate his birth which was a special time in our lives and he continues to bring us much joy. It was the first time I became a mother - at the ripe old age of 30!! Lots of memories and great times and a lot of milestones such as crawling to walking to talking to potty training to going to school for the first time to losing his first tooth and so on. Wonder what it'll be like when he learns to drive??

You guys come by my blog to wish Matthew a Happy Birthday! I took him a cookie cake to school and celebrated with his cla$$mates. Tonight his little sister has a basketball game and we may go eat and see a movie afterwards (that is, if he does all his homework, lol. He and his cousin were goofing off a little earlier.)
I'll close this blog out for now so I can get it posted. Hope everyone's having a good day!!

Okay, I came up with something I thought would be fun to do. Remember I mentioned playing Imaginiff at Thanksgiving? Well, I thought it would be fun to put a question here. I will start out doing a question about me and everyone has to guess how I would answer. After a couple of days, I will tell you what my answer was and we'll see who all got it right. Then I'll post another question after that, except the question will be about another tv.com member. Everyone votes on how they think that person will answer the question and we'll see who all gets it right and so on. Anyone who is interested in being thesubject of a question, let me know. I will go in the order of who makes the request first and so on. The questions and answers will come directly from the Imaginiff game.
Okay, here goes a question for me....
Imagine if... Sara (cookiefoot) were honked at by an impatient driver. How would she react?
1. Get out of the car and threaten the driver.

2. Ignore it and turn up the radio.

3. Honk 'em right back
4. Give a genuine apologetic wave.

5. Record the license plate and call the police.

or
6. Wink and lick the window.

Okay guys, which one do you think I would pick. I'll leave the voting open for a couple of days. I'll tell you guys late Wednesday night (after religion cla.s) what answer I chose, then I will go to the next tv.com user and do a question abouthim/her and so on.
Good luck everyone.

It seems like time flies, doesn't it. I can't believe I haven't been on since 11/10/07. I've still got to get that special awards thingy together but I'll get er done.

Well, how was everyone's Thanksgiving?? We had a good time. I guess that's why I haven't been on lately. I had to spend a lot of time cleaning the house and getting grocery items ready for Thanksgiving. We went to my parents' house on Thanksgiving Day, then had Thanksgiving at our house on Friday for my husband's side. We always have a lot of fun because everyone likes to play games such as dominoes (42) and card games. This time, we played a board game called "Imaginiff..." It was fun. Here's an example of a question. "Imagine if I (insert name) were a type of soup, which would I be? 1. French Onion 2. Won Ton 3. Clam Chowder 4. Chicken Noodle Soup 5.? 6. ? I can't remember the last two choices, but anyway, everyone has to vote on what type of soup that particular person would be. If you guess their choice, you get to move a space. It was hilarious.
That was oneofmy questions and I picked that I would be "french onion" but everybody thought I'd be Chicken NoodleSoup.Once we played the game "Men are from Mars...Women are from Venus" and that was funny as well.Weatherwise, it turned cold and rainy during the holidays and now that it's Monday, it's sunny outside.
I wish it had been the other way around. Oh well, it was good anyway. Hope you guys all had a blessed holiday. I know I have a lot to be thankful for - my family, good friends and my health. What more could a person ask for??Well gotta run for now since I'm at work. Talk to you guys later!!

Matthew told me people were voting for me as most influential tv.com user. I didn't even know I had been nominated for that category!!! Now Most Hatred toward Global Warming? Yes. Most influential?? Surprised!!
I just wanted to say "thank you" to all of you who voted for me in both categories. It means a lot to me. I didn't realize you guys considered me influential but if I have any influence, I hope it is always in a positive way.
I haven't been on lately and I'll explain that in a little bit. I'd also like to add that you guys are a bunch of funny, intelligent and creative people. I can tell from reading your blogs and posts!!!Anyway, Matthew has been tallying up all the votes all night. I have to say, he has been hard at it. It's a lot of work and I give him credit for doing it. It has been very successful - meaning a lot of participation going on. I was impressed by the turnout!! I nominated people in the beginning but I kinda got busy and didn't get a chance to vote before the voting ended. But I think I'm going to come up with a blog and give everybody that I can think of a special award title. It might take looking through profiles to get a feel about some of your personalities. So it might take me a couple of weeks to get it up. I might have bitten off more than I can chew....I'll see how it goes.

Anyway, I'll tell you guys what I've been up to lately, besides the usual family, workand housework stuff.
First off, I want to say that I'm just giving information. I don't want to "influence" anyone to feel the same way I feel and I respect other people's opinions as well....
Well, you guys know how big a fan of Al Gore I am.
Can you tell?? Anyway, I've been absorbed in the prospect of drafting him to run for President. I'm telling you all this because if this actually works, it could be a part of history!!!To begin with, it doesn't appear that Al is going to run for President at this point - at least not without being drafted. He keeps saying he has "no plans or intentions" of running, but yet he says he "hasn't ruled it out" either. There are currently petition drives going on in various states such as California, New York and New Hampshire. I believe there are about 28 states where you can petition to get someone's name on the primary ballot, but you have to have enough signatures from each congressional district of that State to get him on the ballot. Unfortunately, Texas is not one of those State.
So the only thing I've been able to help with is writing letters to Gore asking him to run and donating to the cause, which I've been doing. There is news from a reliable source that what the Draft Gore movement is doing is very important, indicating that there may be a chance that Gore will get in if these States, even one, is successful at getting him on a State ballot. Anyway, I just thought I'd mention all this in case any of you are Gore fans/supporters - or in case you know an adult who is a Gore fan. Again, I want to say, I don't want to try to influence anyone to be a Gore fan. Just trying to speak to those that might be. If you are or your parent(s) are, they could possibly sign a petition to help get him drafted - or donate money to the movement, if they so choose. I am not doing any of the collecting myself. I did donate to the New York Times full page ad that the Draft Gore movement put in there, urging Al Gore to run. That ad cost approximately $65,000!! Can you believe there was enough grassroots support to raise that kind of money in just a couple of weeks?? After that, there were tv and radio ads that came out. Those cost around $50,000. Amazingly, enough money was raised for that too. Now they are asking for donations to help with the expense of collecting signatures, etc.
I think this is exciting because history could be made. No one has been drafted since Eisenhower in 1952 (I believe that's the correct year). For a person to be drafted, I believe it truly represents an effort by the People, which is cool.
Well, I won't ramble on about it. If any of you have an interest in it, you can pm me for more info. You can also check out sites such as: AmericaforGore.com, algoresupportcenter.com, algore.org. You can also sign the online petition at draftgore.com. You don't have to be a certain age to do this.
This blog is long, but I haven't written one in a while so I thought I needed to catch up, lol. I'll try to post more and check out blogs. I'm wayyy behind.
We won't be able to stay up late tonight because Matthew has UIL contest tomorrow and we have to leave real early in the morning. This past Wednesday, he competed in Spelling and Ready Writing, and tomorrow he will compete in Number Sense, Dictionary Skills, Mathematics and Social Studies. We'll definitely have a full day ahead.
Well, you guys take care and have a nice Thanksgiving. I'll get crackin'on that special awards blog soon....later!!

Well, since my son reminded me that it's been like almost a month since my last blog, I figured I'd better get typin'. I selected typing in orange since it is officially Autumn now. Halloween is just around the corner and a lot of the offices at our courthouse are decorated for the occasion. I really like Halloween for some reason, which reminds me, by the way, the Fighting Weasels website is supposed to have a Halloween get together on their website, on Friday, Oct. 26. We were going to be telling ghost stories and stuff like that. Dirk could tell you more about it.
It's hard to believe that the first six weeks of school have come and gone. Matthew and his sister both made straight A's on their report cards!!! I was so proud of them. Matthew has also been playing his trombone. He brought it home today to practice and I was amazed at how much he has learned already!! I always loved playing in the band. It gave me a sense of pride in accomplishing something - with the whole band coming together to make music - la,la,la.
My daughter is planning on being a cheerleader for Halloween. We bought a cheerleader costume on ebay and it came in today. She was really excited about it.
The kids had their last dental appt. recently where they had those last couple of teeth pulled that needed pulling, since it was overcrowded in their mouths, and I'm glad that's over.
Matthew will be starting basketball season soon and I look forward to the games. This will be his first year to play for his school. He played in a league last year and his team got 2nd place. They did really well. Both he and Natalie want to play in that league again this year, so I guess things will be getting busy around here, but it'll be fun. I wish I had played more sports in school. I like volleyball a lot, but I was kinda shy in school.
Well, guess I'll wrap this blog up for the night. I'll try to be on more often as I do enjoy visiting with everyone here. You guys have a safe and fun Halloween!!!

Hi people. Yeah, it's been a while since I've written a blog. I guess being a parent keeps you busy, haha. Not to mention work and everything else. I am STILL at this lousy level 4 - the thighmaster, uggh!
Oh, about the title. Our kitten loves to play hockey with one of those round plastic lids that go on those Sunny D's orange juices. He loves to hear it make noise as he bounces it across the floor. It would be annoying if it wasn't so cute.
We call him Mr. Whiskers, among other things. This morning, I called him weirdo, but I was just joking. Sometimes his eyes are SOOO big, it makes him look weird, lol.Well, we signed our kids up for Catholic religion clas.es tonight. It was kinda a hard decision for me because I'm Baptist. My husband is Catholic. But we've been married for 17 years now and I figured it was about time we made a decision. In the past, we've always just taken turns going to each other church. Anyway, I feel okay about it.
Well, let's see. One thing I'm excited about it that I'm going to go hear Al Gore speak on Oct. 1st. I'm so excited cause he's kinda like my hero!! Don't laugh!! Adults can have heroes too. Well, that's my blog for the day.

Ugh, I only went up 4% just from yesterday! And I'm still on the yukky Level 4 Thighmaster. I thought surely I would jump up a bit after posting and writing 3 blogs in one day! Well, what the hey! I guess I'm gonna have to break down and do some more contributions, even though that's not my favorite thing to do.
In the meantime, I had a new idea for a blog because I was thinking about an old childhood prank I used to do. It wasn't really mean, it was just mischievious. (sp?) Anyway, here it goes...
Back when I was about 12 (Gawd, that was eons ago, lol), my mother used to take my kid sister & I to the grocery store - only she would leave us in the car while she did her shopping. (This was back when it was safe to leave your kids in the car) Anyway, we'd get bored so I came up with this idea. I told her tolay down in the front seat, while I sit in the back seat and when I see someone walk by in front of our car, I would tell her to honk the horn. Talk about scaring the living daylights outta someone! The person would literally jump when the honk honked. I still chuckle about this as I'm writing. That would keep us entertained for a while. It's a wonder they didn't call the law on us, lol.
Do you all have any favorite pranks you'd like to share?
By the way, Happy Labor Day!!

Good Gawd, this is my 2nd blog in one day, lol. It's a record for me.

Well, if you've read one of my recent blogs, you could probably guess that I've gotten into trying to be more environmentally friendly. You know, old habits do die hard, but once you get into trying to be more "green", it's kinda fun. After all, we only have one Earth.
Just thought I'd share a few ways I've tried to be more green --
I changed most of our light bulbs to the flourescent kind.
I try to use less electricity and lighting.
I recently went to using cloth bags at the stores instead of plastic. I bought a couple of them and I plan to get a few more. It's kinda cool and a lot easier to carry groceries, I think.
My husband and I have considered car pooling but with our schedules, it's kinda hard sometimes.
Also, next year when I have my garden, I plan to try to catch rain water with a barrel to conserve water. I actually didn't have to use much water this year because it rained so much!
We also recycle our aluminum cans and junk. It's a nice way to make a little pocket change too!
Other things I'd like to do -- I'd like to go to an alternate form of electricity like solar or wind energy. I'm still researching those things. And just think, it you go solar, you never have to pay an electric bill again. You pay for your solar panels investment, then you're thru!!
I'd also like to buy an alternate kind of vehicle. I have a fuel efficient SUV right now, but I'd like to get a hybrid, electric, biodiesel or hydrogen vehicle. I'm still not sure which is the best way to go but I'm researching that too. It'd also help reduce our dependency on foreign oil.
Plus, I'd like to plan more trees. They are supposed to absorb the CO2 in the air.
I'd also like to see coal burning power plants go to a cleaner form of energy.
Well, those are the things I can think of off the top of my head. Can you guys think of any others? If so, please share. I'd like to do as much as I can for the environment.

Oh, to see a powerful video on this, go to youtube and search for "I need to wake up" by Melissa Ethridge. It should be the first one on the list and it's the song from the movie "An Inconvenient Truth."
Chow!

Okay, I was sitting here eating chocolate M & M's and I noticed a quirky habit of mine. I will eat two at a time and I like to eat them in different color combinations like -
green & blue, red & yellow, green & black, orange and blue, etc.
That made me think of this blog idea? Do you guys & girls have any quirky habits that you'd like to share?
Some others of mine are:
when sitting down to eat, I like to eat all of one thing first, then move on to the next food
I like to eat Blue Bell ice cream when it is hard. To me, it loses it's flavor when it's soft.
Okay, share away! And remember, the quirkier the habit, the funner.

Well, my last blogs have either been about my kids starting school or Flight 29 Down, etc. But today I wanted to talk about something that is very important to me....
I'm sure most of you are aware of the war in Iraq and politics in general...Bush being our president and the election 2000 turnout. Today I wanted to talk about someone I really respect and admire. It's Al Gore. Now I don't want to come across as being political or trying to persuade others to my point of view. I respect the fact that each person has their own opinion and that's good. It always important to be informed about the issues of our time and if you ever have questions, go looking for them. Make decisions based on the facts.
Anyway, I've always been an Al Gore fan or supporter, I guess you would say, since he ran for President in 2000. I paid attention to his speeches and really liked what his plans as President would be. Back then, some people labeled him as stiff. There was even a question going around as to who you would rather have a beer with?? Bush or Gore?? Now is the type of question we should be asking when determining who we want to be our President?? I thought we should be asking questions like who is more qualified to be President?? And in my opinion, it was Al Gore. After all, he had had 24 years combined experience in the White House as Representative, Senator and Vice President. He also served in the military honorably.
Well, I'm not going to dredge up the election 2000 outcome, though I do have my opinions about it. I would just like to talk about why I would like him to run for President this time and direct you to a really powerful video on youtube entitled "Draft Gore". It's really moving.
True, Al Gore isn't a candidate at this time, but there are those that believe there is a strong possibility that he may get in the race by Halloween. That's probably the latest he could wait to. Really, Hillary and Obama jumped in there wayyyy to soon. Everyone will be tired of it before the real campaign starts.
Anyway, I really believe Al Gore is an honorable person. This year, he has been making headlines with the issues of global warming and what we as Americans and others can do to minimize our carbon dioxide emissions. I really believe in these issues and invite others to watch Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" and judge for yourselves. I know I've been trying to help preserve our environment more since learning more about it.
And of course, there are other reasons why I like Al Gore. Of course, he was against the war in Iraq from the get go. We were led to believe that Saddam Hussien wasresponsible forthe World Trade Center destruction when it was really Osama Bin Laden. There have been many lives killed in Iraq in vain. It is really sad but I won't try to lecture about this either. I just ask that people research issues like these so they can make good decisions for themselves.
Al Gore also has the idea of getting rid of the employment tax and replace it with a pollution tax. I think this is really a good idea because like he said, an employment tax penalizes people for working when taxes should be put on for polluting which would make people try to pollute less.
Gore has been an advocate of protecting the environment for 30 years now. He was also for putting more informative labels on our food in regards to nutrition.
Well, there's lots to like about Gore. But my bottom line is that this is a very important time in our history and we need someone in the White House who knows what they're doing.
In closing, I invite you all to go watch this youtube video entitled "Draft Gore." It's very powerful. Here's the link.

Okay, that's my blog for today. Hope it wasn't too boring.

**I just tried clicking to the video from this link and it doesn't work. You have to type it into the address part. At least, it worked for me that way. Let me know if you have any problems.

Well, while my son is over on his blog celebrating no homework on the first day of school, I'm sitting here at our kitchen table filling out all this "first day of school" paperwork that parents have to fill out, and times that by two since I have two kids....so yeah for you Dirk - no homework. Boo for me, lol.
Actually, it's not so bad. I do enjoy listening to how my kids' first day of school went. Let me start at the beginning. This morning everyone got up and ready without a hitch. We ate breakfast and since we send Dirk and his kid sister to a smallcommunity school outside our district, we had to drive 18 miles to get there. They just got finished rebuilding a new elementary school which is really nice. Dirk is now in the junior high building, and I have to say, I believe he was more nervous than his sister, which is understandable since he was going into jr. high and seemed to have "nightmares" of all the homework he thought he was going to get. We dropped off Natalie first - Dirk went on his own. Then we thought we'd go say goodbye to Dirk before we left. Big mistake. Do you know what it feels like to feel invisible? Well, that's how I felt when I tried to say goodbye. I could have sworn that Dirk didn't know I was there, lol. Oh well, that's older kids for ya. They are getting to that age where they want to assert their independence and don't want Mom & Dad taggin' along everywhere. That's cool. I knew I could catch up on how things went after school.
When I got home from work, I sat and listened about their day. Matthew sounded like he had a pretty good day. I didn't hear any major complaints about any teachers. The main thing was that he had a lot of exercises to do in Athletics. I have a feeling he is going to be getting into reaaaalllly good shape. Both kids had a couple of newkids in theirhomeroom. Matthew got this mysterious text message in science- wonder who from??
The funny thing about school is how it wears out the kids. Natalie came home and crashed in front of the tv later this p.m. for a little bit.
Oh well, that's how the first day of school went for me. Carry on folks!

Okay, I realize I'm not a kid anymore, but when you have kids, you can't help but get interested in their shows sometimes. It all started at the end of season 1 of Flight 29 Down. They were having a Flight 29 Down marathon of all the shows from the first season. My son, Dirk, had been watching the show, and I sat down and started watching it. I really liked it! It was interesting and had a good plot. It was your modern day Gilligan's Island, but with teenagers instead of adults. I have to say, I have a hard time finding shows that have good plots these days. I probably enjoy sitcoms more than anything. Can't stand the reality shows!!
Anyway, I'm just sitting here watching an episode of Flight 29 Down and am anxiously awaiting the movie this Saturday!! I am sad that the show is coming to an end. If I had the time and money, I'd buy the rights to the show and keep it going. I'm predicting that in the moviethey'll probably be rescued. And I think there would be soooo much potential for the show if they continued it once they got back home - the dynamics between all the characters. Which brings me to question time. I don't know if they'll have characters ending up with certain characters, but who do you like together? I personallylike Daley & Nathan together. And I've been a little torn between Jackson & Melissa or Jackson& Taylor, but I think I like Jackson and Melissa together better. I used to didn't like Taylor at all because she was so ditzy but they started giving her more of a brain so I changed my mind a little. I thought it was cool when she was able to make fire. As far Eric, I'm not all that crazy about him, but I think he puts on a front a lot of the time because of what they're going through. They do show his human side from time to time. So maybe there's hope for him...
Anyway, that's my blog and I'm stickin' to it. Feel free to add your two cents....

Okay, here's that slam book blog I've been planning to do. For those of you who have never heard of a slam book, it's something we used to make in school and have everybody answer all the questions in the book. It's something you can keep to remember things about your friends.
What you do is take a spiral notebook - on the first page, number 1 thru however many people you are going to have answer all the questions. Each person signstheir name out beside a number. Then, each page after that, you ask a question at the top of the page and each person answers below the question. For instance, you might ask, why is your favorite sport? And a person will sign like this underneath....
#1 soccer
The person signed in as number 1 on the first page, so that will be his number throughout the book. Number 2 will also sign somewhere on the page like this...
#2 basketball
And so on.
Like I said before, this is probably a lot like your question and answer threads, but what is neat about this is you can have all yourfriends answer all the questions and it is something you can keep and remember everyone by after you graduate - kinda like memories from your yearbook.
Anyway, I thought I'd write a list of questions - some you might like to use if you decide to do a slam book.
When is your birthday?
What is your favorite color?
What is your favorite food?
Who was/is your favorite teacher in school?
What is your favorite subject?
What is your favorite sport?
What is your favorite show?
Who is your favorite actor & actress?
What is your favorite movie?
What is your favorite hobby?
What place would youmost like to visit?
What is your favorite boy's/girl's name?
And so on. I think you get the picture. Anyway, since everyone has or is starting back to school soon, this might be something fun to do with your friends. Oh, and feel free to answer any questions here as well.
Have fun!

Well, thought I'd write a blog since I haven't written one lately. I'm off work today. Yeah!! My kids will be going back to school on August 27th - wow, where did the summer go?!? Only one more week of free time. You know what that means!! Back to a regular routine. Dirk's been quite a night owl this summer (he gets it from his mother). But he's going to turn into an early bird at the stroke of midnight one day this week - not sure what day it will be yet, lol. But I can understand why he's enjoyed being on tv.com. It's a lot of fun and he's made lots of friends. You guys and girls are really cool. He'll post when he can but I guess everybody'll have a different schedule, won't they?
I wonder what a new year will bring? Dirk will be in 6th grade....WOW!! Makes me feel old....
His sister is gonna be in 2nd grade, ouch! No more diapers to change!!! Actually its been years since I've had any diapers to change. Whoops, here kitty, kitty. Clean up that mess! Just joking.I had been planning on writing a "slam book" blog soon. Have you guys ever heard of a slam book? It's probably kinda like your question and answer threads. It's something we used to do in school. We'd get a spiral notebook and at the top of each page, we'd have a question and everybody would answer below it. Like, what is your favorite movie? Mine is Beaches. That was a really good chick flick, but a tear jerker at the end. Anyway, you all feel free to post your favorite things - favorite shows, movies, colors, foods, etc. Just whatever!
Hope you all enjoy school this year. See ya!!
