Wow my other blogs are old!

SO I just realized how dated my other blog posts are! I need to comment on something current. Right now most of the debate on news comments and forums falls under the umbrella of "system wars". It's sad that this is the state of affairs, but with all the systems being out and available now (with the exception of some sporadic Wii shortages) and lots of people trying to decide which one to get, or only being able to afford one. The result is not surprising. Once the money has been spent, the new system owner stands by his product it would seem. It does get a little ridiculous sometimes though. Can't we at least be nice about supporting our favorite systems? Constructive? Some fanboys are just downright ignorant!

Xcited for Xbox. And what's wrong with HDTV?

Just need to toil through this one final weekend before I'll finally get my eager hands on the xbox 360.

Being caught up in all the excitement and enthusiasm for the new system has made me sort of bored and unmotivated to play current games although I've dabbled here and there on my PC. However, I've been doing lots of forum surfing and posting reviews and such, and as I've been doing this I've noticed almost a sort of "riot" against HDTV's and the fact that games look better on them.

I'm not sure whether this is all rationalization, jealousy, misinformation, ignorance, or a combination of all the above but...

HDTV looks better. The same way 5.1 surround sound adds more to your audio experience, a higher resolution and clearer picture adds more to your visual experience. Yes, some of you can't afford it right now, but as prices drop you may end up getting one and then looking back on that time when you said "I hate how M$ is making all thier games so they only look good on HDTVs" (which is untrue, although they obviously look better on HDTVs) you may realize how childish that comment appears to those who are actually informed on the subject.

Shouldn't we be embracing advances in technology that can heighten our gaming experience? The more systems support, the more people will buy it, and the more the price will drop!

    The Beginning Is Nigh

Here I am, 3 weeks prior to the launch of the Xbox 360 and sadly, I can think of little else.

All motivation to play other games is slim to none, instead I surf the net randomly looking for tidbits of information on the system. I have no read through the whole site www.xbox.com and all the info they had there on the xbox 360. Didn't really learn much new information, or anything earth shattering, but it all burns the time away.

The time that is crawling by, much to slow for my liking... And they say the beginning is nigh.
