Gametrailers.com
I have been spending most of my time there and other gaming sites as well. I still come to gamespot for the occasional forum post and the other Gamespot features, but most of my time is spent there. It seems to be a much cooler site and you can earn free prizes if you put enough work into the community there. I also feel like the reviews on this site are really off and of a lower quality when compared to other game sites and I don't really agree with many of them. Not only that but there are a-lot of things that I have a problem with this site. I don't really feel comfortable with this site as I used to many years ago and I think it has been going downhill for a while.

My Top 10 Favorite Games Of All Time

First of all, I want to say that there were SO many games that I wanted to put in this list, I was even considering making a top 20 list but in the end I chose the games that I like the best. I also chose to go with one game or franchise per rank on the list. This list will probably change as I play more games and get more systems.

10. The Spyro Trilogy (PS1)

These games were really fun. The only problem with them was that they were too easy and short. I remember I finished the final installment of the trilogy(The first pic to the left) in one day. Of course there are always side missions and those were where the real challenges of the games lied. There were also so many cool secrets and they reminded me of the old mario games and also Mario 64. There were tons of levels with it's own unique problems and inhabitants and it made the game very variable. Overall this great fun franchise went downhill after the trilogy was over. There might be a comeback in the near future but I doubt it can top this trilogy.

9.Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

This is one of the most unique games that I have played. The graphics were so colorful and looked hand drawn. The thing that most people complained about was that baby Mario's crying was annoying, but it didn't bother me at all and it actually made getting him as he floated away more urgent. There were so many different gameplay mechanics at work here that it was more than just a sequel to Super Mario World, it was a unique game in itself.

8.Pokemon

Yes, I was a part of the Pokemon phenomonon that still exists today. This was the first RPG that I owned. I was addicted to the game, the show, everything for a good few years. I don't play them anymore but the old games are still fun and addictive.

7. Starctaft

This is still my favorite RTS franchise. I don't know what it is about this game but it's so fun. I love the story and balance of all the races in the game. They are so different from one another but still manage to balance out. The game is easy to learn but hard to master. That is the sign of a good game.

6. Super Smash Bros Melee

I did not play the N64 original until much laterbut when I started playing Melee for the first time I was first of all, blown away by the graphics. I had never seen a game run at 60fps before and the level of detail was amazing. I was addicted for weeks as I tried unlocking everything I could and many times I did not even know how I unlocked something. This was so fun and I still play it today from time to time.

5. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

This is the first zelda game I had ever played. Yes, I have already played Ocarina of Time and loved it too. But this game was so stylish. The graphics looked incredible, even today. The gameplay was so great. My favorite part was exploring in the boat because you never knew what was just over the horizon. The game had a HUGE draw distance. The story was awesome and so was the final boss battle. Overall, this is my favorite Zelda game and I think this is a work of art.

4. Resident Evil 4

This is my most favorite action game of all time. This game had literally non-stop action all the way through. Just when I thought the game was slowing down I would get something crazy flashed in my face. The graphics were some of the best the generation had to offer and the gameplay was near perfect. I was never a fan of the previous Resident Evil games but this one was so different and amazing. I loved every minute of it all the way through. There were also tons of unlockables in the game which surprised me because the game was good already. It was the icing on an already delicious cake.

3. Tales of Symphonia

As soon as I watched the gameplay videos of the real time battle system I knew I had to get this game, And I sure was glad that I did. Not only did this game look excellent and had a great battle system, but it also had a story that may have seemed cliche at first but had many twists an turns and was very complex. The characters were also so diverse and interesting. The game also had some great voice acting from professionals. It was just an overall excellent game and one of my most favorite games of all time.

2. Final Fantasy IX

While many people pick FF7 as their favorite, I liked 9 the best. I don't know why but this is a game that I have always liked. It might be the story, the characters, maybe even the setting. But this game is awesome. Not only did it look great, it also had some of the best music in a Final Fantasy game that I have heard. I guess the game had a certain charm to it that the others didn't have. Well, I can at least rest assured knowing that Sakaguchi, the creator of the entire Final Fantasy franchise, has stated many times that FF9 was his personal favorite.

1. Super Mario World

This is the game that got me into gaming, while it is not the first game I ever played, it is the game that made me want to play more video games. This game was awesome. There were secrets everywhere. The game had so muct to explore and it was just plain fun. The addition of yoshi in a level completetly changed the gameplay. There were tons of cool power ups and boss fights. The final boss fight in this game was a famous event in itself. This game was just pure addiciton and it is still fun to play even today.
