Perhaps one of my most anticapted games of 2012 I have played a good chunk of Assassins Creed 3. I will go through on what I have played so far but try to avoid spoiling it for people,
At the beginning of the game it begins where probably the last left of. You enter a cave as Desmond Miles and go into the Animus. You start out the game as a guy called Haytham who I think is a Templar. After about about 3 hours you play as the games main protagonist Connor.
Anyway the game started off slow but once you start to play as Connor the game starts to pick up. You can climb trees that have a V shape, hunt for animals, join certain clubs to do side missions and even play mini game like board games during the campaign.
You can get new recruits throughout your adventure, you collect things like these bits of paper that sometimes fly around the area and you have to collect them for what I don't know yet. Also there are feathers and other stuff to get you to unlock things but I aren't sure just yet.
Unlike other Assassins Creed games you can buy and sell items like the animals skins you get along the way is the key to helping you get better gear. Also treasure chests are much different to open you have to pick the lock with the L and R triggers. Also you can command a ship telling people when to fire cannons and also steer the ship and it isn't to hard to aim and it becomes really engaging in a war with another ship.
The AI seems to be a bit stronger and the combat seems to be better as well. One thing I also like is the fast travel thing where you can get to a certain area in no time at all because some areas take ages to get to.
Well there's alot of things I like but it does have a couple of flaws like sometimes having to press button combinations to defeat wild animals and also it can be a bit of a pain hunting for them and setting traps and plus the game doesn't really get going till about 3, 4 hours in.
I like Connor as a character but not as much as Ezio who is a hard act to follow. The voice acting is very good. The graphics are mindblowing and the enviroments are huge. Technically it's one of the best looking games I have seen.
These are my first impressions of the game I shall give you a final verdict and a review once I have done the story and checked the multiplayer out.
