My Friends

30May 09

Its horribly out of sync, though.

I like the looks of it, myself. I gave my iPod Nano to a friend, so I'm in the market for a media player again... hmmm...

Nice to see that competition with the DS, DSi and iPhone is keeping Sony moving.

    No touchscreen, no sale.

I realize that the PSP Go isn't designed to make previous PSP models (completely) obsolete, but still, the Go isn't just another PSP revision. The Game Boy Color and Nintendo DSi, while minor updates to existing hardware, allow for enhanced software that can't run on their predecessors, after all.

The touchscreen is what makes the Nintendo DS so versatile. Since the PSP Go apparently doesn't have one, it's too limited.

Wouldn't this be a bit more like the GBA to Game Boy Advance SP, though?

Understandable. That's one reason I'm wondering about its media playback. A 16g iPod Nano is $175-200, with the 16g iPod Touch being $280.

I'd say that going purely digital distribution is a bigger change than adding a sidelight, I mean frontlight.

True, but the games can still be run regardless of which PSP you have (so long as Sony forces size limits, anyhow).

Looks cool but it is not enough for me to upgrade my PSP 2000 to this GO.I'll wait until they make the PSP2 I think.
