  PS3 news!

  Well, i can now officially say i am an owner of a PS3. It is the 60GB model and i have it hooked up to a HDTV. Let me just start off by saying it looks absolutely fantastic, and in my opion far greater than the xbox 360s. Now that will probably make a few people angry but I havent got to the second half.

  Now, I need to just say that Sony have REALLY crapped up. they have completely mistreated gamers in the Uk (and I assume the rest of Europe). All we have had is delays, components removed and then higher discrimination. For a console that was supposed to end pricing discrimination through the banning of regional lockout it really has lost sight of its aims. may i also point out that the advertising campaign was horrendous and completely dwarfed by that of the 360. with microsoft you feel like you have a support staff sitting right behind you ready to help, whereas with the PS3, nothing. I also really need to say that the PSP advertising was (and still is0 crap. i mean talking dustballs? what have they been smoking? It doesnt even show of the games or the console! The next thing i need to point out is a complete lack of games. While the 360 has nearly 100 now (or feels like it anyway) the PS3 has about a dozen decent ones. Currently i own motorstorm, resistance;fall of man and oblivion, and there are no other games I want that are released yet. i think that says something.

  Now after that huge rant about how awful it is, you are probably wandering why i brought one. Well, i see it as a logn term investment. Although the games arent there now, they will be in the future. And while the next xbox is coming out, we will still have the PS3. i just hope they hurry up already...

  just because

  I have not been active in a while so I'm just doing this to show I am alive (which I am). Currently i am mostly playing Battlefield Veitnam, which is now pretty old but still great fun. I'm planning to by a PS3 in the future, but because here in the UK it is so expensive and does not play PS2 games I think I will buy one on my future holiday to the States. Until then, I will do without. Until next time,

  christmas aftermath

  just to let you know. for christmas I got age of empires 3:the warchiefs expansion, warhammer 40k, the dark crusade and battlefield vietnam. I think i am lucky I have so many relatives to get so many presents. Until next time,
