My Friends

31Dec 08

Hello all,

It has been so long since I posted here; I hope I am not forgotten. I did not get a chance to read all the blogs you posted. I hardly ever had the time. Life has changed considerably for me over the last few months. I know that I changed a lot as a person and my priorities in life are much different.

I also had my share of success. Getting a chance to come to this great nation is something I am happy and proud about.

In spite of all that is going on I managed to play Quake 3, Age of Empires, Fallout 2, Call of Duty and Need For Speed Underground. Of course, I only played them for a very little while, but I will get back into gaming once I have the money to buy a decent PC. At this moment, I just cannot spare that kind of money. Hopefully soon though.

I want to thank Ben for his Christmas gift – Fallout 2 and Half-Life. I really appreciate this. After coming to America, I realize that Christmas means so much.

At this moment, I am with my family in Connecticut. I will be here till this weekend and then go back to Oklahoma City. It has been a great vacation; I got to see many places, such as Brooklyn in New York and the Yale campus in New Heaven.

I was so amazed by what I saw – this country is so beautiful. And clean!

I took some pictures; some of you might be interested. You can check them HERE.

I hope 2009 will be a great year for everyone. Work hard and play harder.

Thank you for stopping by and reading!

Well it seems you got a lot going on your plate, so good luck.

And sorry man, but I refuse to work hard... well, at least until my heinie is against the wall!

EDIT: Your face after being stranded in the airport is priceless!

Allie: Thank you so much. I hope you have a great 2009.

Alex: Thank you. I sure have a lot going on here. Its a constant struggle to pay for food and rent, and then to study.

Yes, I thought the picture might be funny to some. Being there for that long was definitely not funny. But when I look back, well...it could have been a lot worse.

Real nice to see you Chandu you are one of the most likable GS people around and I have really missed you. It is just great that you are enjoying your life in the U.S. I haven't been there but have heard it is a nice place and the people are friendly. I am glad that your friendship with s_g has become an ongoing thing. Pity she is not around all that much either. It is really grand that nutcrackr send you those 2 good games. Real nice gesture indeed
I wish you a happy new year and may more positive and joyous event to come to you in 2009

So many people still remember me! Thank you all very much.

Ben: Thank you so much. Yes, I had a good Christmas. Didn't do much for New Year though, but I still enjoyed spending time here.

Chris: Thank you! Nice to see you still around. I have not been to the union in a while now, but I will.

ziegd: Thanks for dropping by. I see that you live in Southern CA. I am told its beautiful. Will definitely like to visit one day.

Marco: Happy New Year to you as well. Hope you have a good one.

splinter_girl88: I certainly hope you above all don't forget me.

taraboi1: It has been months since I posted here. I have not had the time to read anyone's blogs either. That was a shame. I look forward to a good year and I hope you do too.

neerajkumar_4: Happy New Year to you as well. Thanks for dropping by.

Fari: Thank you so much for your message. It feels good to see that you have not left GameSpot. I miss being here as well, but gaming is a luxury now. No time or money for it. I hope things will change soon.

I hope you have a great New Year.

America is a great place and for most part, people are very nice. I think its a bit of myth that people in New York are rude. I have been to Brooklyn and I felt they were no different from Oklahoma. I could write a lot about my experience in this country, and I probably should too. Hopefully one of these days, I will. Coming from a country like India, America seems so strange.

Yes, please check the pictures at your convenience.

VercettiTommyy: Thank you very much. Hope you have a great New Year as well.

iliastse: Thanks a lot. Happy New Year to you as well.

Subterranean500: Happy New Year to you as well! Good to see you around.

31160618: Thanks! It's been a long time. I stopped in Chicago Airport on my way to Connecticut. It was huge! I had to run from one terminal to the other end of another terminal and I had 10 minutes to get to my flight to Boston. I barely made it inside. But I would love to see the place someday.

    PrincesTwilight: Thank you very much.

Sharon: Thank you very much. This place is beautiful this time of the year.

Gagan: Hey! How are you? Long time. Hope everything is going great for you. Good luck with everything in the future.

gamer_girl15: Thank you. Yes, America has been a great experience so far. I wish you all the very best in 2009.
