I'm pretty proud of both of them. This is officially the first game I've completed achievement wise, and I have to say that I enjoyed every second of it. Assassin's Creed 2 is just a great game. I still haven't gotten bored with it. I didn't look to see how many hours I logged, but it had to have been close to 20. For me, that's kind of crazy, because I rarely get enough time to sit down and play a game for more than an hour at a time. Luckily, we had a holiday not too long ago, and I was able to play for about 10 hours straight.

I will say this about the story.....they know how to keep you wanting more! As expected with everything these days, they come in 3's. They best start working on it now, because I don't want to wait 2 years I never played the first one, until the 2nd one was almost out, so I didn't have the anticipation that I would have, but this time.....I want it NAO!

10,000 is pretty sweet too. I'm always behind on these things. I know a few people with over 100,000, but they better watch out, I'm catching up! There's a few games coming out that I really want to get my hands on, so that will always help the gamescore.

Then there's Diablo 3.....I WANT! Just look at this trailer. Wow. I don't think I've been more excited for a game in a long while, but I hope they get it finished in 2010. I'm tired of waiting!

Well that's all for now. Hope your weekend is great, and you get to do whatever it is that makes you happy!

Yea, it's about that time again. Seems like the years just keep rolling by faster and faster. Just yesterday I could have swore it was Halloween. Apparently time flies when you are having fun huh?

In any case, I'd have to say that there are a number of things that I am grateful for. I think I'm going to just list my top 3 instead of spitting out a bunch of random stuff.

    1) My family and friends
    2) My health
    3) My job/Computers

It's easy to take any of those things for granted. I have friends who are my age (mid-twenties) who do not have jobs, yet they have a college degree just because of the economy. I have a few friends that lost a spouse/sibling/parent this year. I'm lucky that I have been fortunate enough to avoid any of those tragedies. You may also ask why computers is #3, and that one is simple. Without them, I would have no job, and I'd have no clue what I'd be doing with my life right now. We DEFINITELY take computers for granted nowadays. I dare you to not use one for a week. Probably can't do it huh? I know that I can't.

So, even though this is a holiday only in the US today, it's nice to take some time to reflect every once in a while. It helps keep things in perspective for you. When you are complaining about that paper you have to write for school, be sure to remember that many many people don't have the opportunity to even go to school.

In other news, I'm almost done with Assassin's Creed finally! I'm on the last mission right now. It's only taken me like 2 years since I've had the damn game, but hey, I'm just glad I'm getting to it. Mainly I want to finish it so that I can play 2, which I have bought, but have not opened yet. I've vowed to not wait 2 years to get to the 2nd game. First one is fun, but does get repetitive. No way I would spend all the time just to run around and find all the flags, so I won't get 1000/1000, but I refuse to do "busy gameplay."

You may have noticed my new theme here is red. That's because yesterday I was promoted to Master Moderator, which is a red emblem. Totally unexpected. When I joined this site back in 2006, I had no idea what a moderator even was. It's quite an honor, as it is the highest rank of moderator. With it comes a ban hammer which I will wield without prejudice. So don't piss me off

Well, I think that's about it for now. If any of you are going shopping tomorrow morning, please be safe! Hope you get what you want. Happy Thanksgiving all in the US!!!

....but I lied to you. Well, that's not totally true. I will post one, but I haven't had the time to really play around with it. Why you ask? I got myself a new toy!!!

She's a beauty! Now, I still have my XB9R, but this 1125R was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. I got half off the sticker price. Now for those of you that know motorcycles, that's cheap as hell. Anyway, I picked it up Saturday, and I've had to baby her for a while, but I finally got past that initial stage. She's running quite well, but I still have about 500 more miles to go before my first service. After that, I can really open it up and check out the power that she has. 146 horsepower and 82ft-lbs of torque.....mmmmmm.........

Well, that's what I'll be spending most of my time on. When I get around to checking how Windows 7 is doing, I'll let you guys/gals know

That's right all, I still have a launch 360. Now, unlike most 360s I've known, mine has NOT gotten the RROD (insert appropriate prayer here). Granted I haven't played it like a maniac or anything, but I have done my fair share of gaming. For some reason the gaming gods have decided to shine down non-RRODy goodness all over my 360.

Recently though, I've noticed that even on new games just out of the box, I've been getting disk read errors when in the middle of playing. Not only do I lose where I am in the game, but it's highly frustrating. I then saw that Dell had a sweet deal going on where you can get an Elite for $250 shipped to your door. Couple that with the fact that Microsoft is now offering $50 mail-in rebates, I just can't refuse. $200 for an Elite??? HELL YEA! So, about 5 minutes ago, I splurged and bought me one. What does this mean for me?

    1) Hopefully no more disk read errors
    2) LESS CABLES! I can finally get rid of my crap component cables and switch to the good 'ole HDMI. I'm sure that my 52" TV is going to love that
    3) More gaming......I have an Elite now so I have to right??

I do consider myself a computer expert, and have been for a while. What I am not is a console expert. My question to you guys is does the Elite come with the transfer cable I'm going to need to move my stuff over? Or am I going to have to buy that separately? Here is the linky to the sale page.

So yea, I'm actually excited, this is the first time I've bought anything decently pricey in a while!

O, and you are wondering what's going to happen to my launch 360 I assume? Most likely it will go to my little brother, who will enjoy it until it decides it wants to fully retire on it's own

You know, every once in a while there comes a deal that's just too good to pass up. I recently discovered this when taking a trip to Best Buy. Walking in the door, I immediately went to the games isle to see what kind of sale they had going on. To my amazement, they had buy one, get one 50% off video games. Seeing all the previews, and watching all the videos for the new Batman game, I knew I had to get that one. Snatching that up, it took me about 20 minutes to decide on RE5 for the next game. There were so many choices I could have made, but I've always been a fan of the RE series, so I had to get it.

I tell you what though...I'm SOOOO glad to be getting back into gaming. I bet I haven't turned on my 360 in a few months, and it doesn't feel right. So, I'm off to enjoy me some Batman! I'll be sure to tell you what I think

....in case you didn't know that. I'm doing alright, just incredibly sore and cut up.

Basically, I was riding west on a 2 lane road. On my right was an SUV at a stop sign going to turn east. I don't have a stop sign, she turned left right in front of me, and I went right to avoid her. Unfortunately there was a ton of gravel right there, so down I went. Taking the bike in Saturday for a quote, and hoping it's less than my deductible so I don't have to go through insurance. Luckily the cop wrote it up as her fault, so even if I do go with insurance, my rates won't go up because it's a fault state.

What pisses me off most....NO ONE STOPPED TO HELP. WTF. There were a couple cars behind me, and a few people on the sidewalk. What is this world coming to??

So yea, I'm pissed, need to get my bike fixed, and generally tired. Hope all of you are doing well though! I'll get some pictures uploaded once I get them.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO unbelievably amazing I don't know how to describe it in words. I will be seeing it at least 6 more times. In the next week. That is all.

Well hello there peoples, it certainly has been a while hasn't it?

First let me start by saying the reason that I haven't been around much lately is that I got a new job. Yes, the economy sucks, and in the middle of Feb, the company I was working for went out of business. I was EXTREMELY lucky and got an interview and offer the next week, and within 3 weeks had started the new job. After training, vacation, more training, another vacation, and getting settled in my own office, I'm finally back into a normal routine, and able to spend time here

Other than that, nothing new with me. Just been enjoying the NHL playoffs. Red Wings are once again 4 wins away from a Stanley Cup victory, and of course I'm stoked. I'm going camping this weekend because I thought the finals weren't going to start until next weekend, but apparently they moved them up. O well, can't win them all!

E3 is just around the corner, and who doesn't love that? I can say that I'm highly disappointed in the decision not to have subscriber chat rooms. Last year's E3 was EPIC. I was not only there in person, but I was in the chat room the whole time. Nothing but fun. I hope they reconsider that, but I will still be watching press conferences. I haven't been following much gaming news lately, so I'm looking forward to being surprised.

And with that, it's time to go watch the absolutely slanted in Lebron's favor officiating in the NBA conference finals.

So, what's new peoples!? I hope you all had good holidays, and are back in your normal routines. Whether it be school, work, or just hanging out, hope things are well! I'm finally back into my routine after one hell of a holiday season. First off, the broken hand kept me out of commission for a while. After that it was school. Then, I got snowed in, and couldn't leave to come home for Christmas!! That sucked. Either way, that's all done now, and what's new with me you ask??? Lets find out:

First off, college is completely done. I never have to step foot back in a school again! WHOOO! I'm stoked about that. I will continue to work at my current job a while longer. I've been looking at a few other things in robotics and such, but haven't made a decision yet. We'll see what the future holds. It's all up in the air at the moment!

Gaming. Well, I haven't done much gaming lately. I did however get together with a bunch of mods and play some TF2. That was really fun, and hopefully we'll be gathering again for more gaming. For Christmas I got Too Human and Dark Sector. While they didn't really get amazing reviews, everyone I've talked to said they were fun games, and enjoyed playing them, so I'm looking forward to that. Now, the only problem is getting the time to sit down and play them! Seems like everytime I try, something comes up.

Went to a hockey game yesterday. Red Wings vs. Ducks up in Anaheim. Red Wings won of course. They are a pretty good team. Hockey is my favorite sport, and there's nothing like going to a game in person. Of course, I has a picture: Few of the shows I watch are making their return. The 2-night, 4-hour premiere of 24 was fantastic. It was much better than last year's premiere. It definitely left me wanting more, and I can't wait to see next weeks episode. Smallville is back tonight, and Bones returns next Thursday, and I look forward to watching those. That leaves Chuck, which doesn't return until the 2nd of Feb

Not too much reading going on since I don't have time. Just finished my 2nd readthrough of Watchmen in preparation for the 6th of March. I can't wait for the movie! I'm hoping it will be fantastic. The more previews that I see, the more I want the movie to just come out already! Speaking of movies.....Gran Turino was amazing. Probably the best movie I've seen this decade. Clint Eastwood is a genius, and one hell of an actor. I was also glad to see that Heath Ledger got a Golden Globe. It was a good tribute to his fantastic performance as the Joker.

I think that's about it. See you guys and gals around the forums, and hopefully in the OTS chatroom when it returns!

TIME! Dear lord, there never seems to be enough time in a day. By the time I get everything done that I need to, it's time to go to bed and start over again. Because of this, my gaming time has severely suffered. I haven't even finished Gears 2 yet, let alone get into RA3 I is sad. One of you really smart type people need to figure out a way to lengthen days, or pause time, but not us, or something crazy like that. I'll pay you in beer

In other gaming news.....SAY WHAT??!!?!??!?! Anyone want to start the rumor mill?? Either way, the text message alert for my cell is now the alert you get when you get spotted in MGS. I changed it today before I ever saw this new development, so how appropriate

So, apparently I pissed God off or something, because no sooner did I get my cast off my right hand, than I break a finger on my left. Say what?! The good thing is that I don't have to get a cast this time since it's just a finger. The bad news is that I have to wear a damn splint, which I find to be MORE annoying than a cast. Seriously now...I'm a nice person, WTF!?!

Anyway, rant is over. 360 is currently updating, and I'm waiting to play some Gears 2! I haven't even installed RA3 on the computer yet, and I'm kinda pissed about that, but I've waited for so long, what's another few days. I'm hoping now that I can use a computer effectively that I'll be around more. If not, be sure to send an army of squirrels after me or something...

That's a good question. Well, I for one am interested to see what happens. With Obama being elected, I'm glad we have a well-spoken and smart person in office for the first time in 8 years. With that being said, it remains to be seen how he does. I think he'll do just fine. I'm not too sure about some of his plans though. Some may have been just for the campaign, but he does have some decent ideas in the pile that he threw at us.

Regardless, as long as I'm still able to make money and live like I have been I really can't complain. I just hope that we get things straightened out here in the US. It's been quite a mess for a while now.

Yea, so I kinda broke a hand playing soccer last week so I haven't been spending much time on the computer at all. I apologize for not being around that much. The cast doesn't make it easy to type at all. Hopefully I can come around more next week, but we'll see...

I haz them! Well, let's see what's been going on in my gaming world.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed is a decent game. I've played through it twice, since it's pretty short. I'm working on a third time on the hardest setting right now to see if it makes it a little more fun. The force powers are pretty satisfying actually. I always have fun coming up with new combos and such to whoop up on some Stormtroopers. One thing I find highly annoying is the targetting system. It's nice when you actually have time to single out what you want and grab it, but most of the time that's not possible, especially in a crowded location, or when there are 100 things happening at once. However, the story is amazing. I love how the story went, and also the choice of two endings. Several time throughout, I was totally surprised at what happened. Overall, it's a decent game, and worth playing, if anything just to punt Jawas...

Lego Batman was my 2nd purchase in a week. I'm a huge fan of the Lego series games, and of course Batman, so I had to get it. So far I've played through one episode. It's not too bad, although I think they certainly could have made it better. Several times through the first episode were extremely frustrating. Whether it was gliding the wrong way, or not being able to judge a ledge, it got old after a while. I do like the steady stream of enemies though, and it seems that they are tougher than in the previous games. The story is kind of confusing so far. Since the game doesn't follow any movies or , it'll be interesting to see where they go with it. Co-op is decently fun so far. I hear it's pretty good, so I'll have to be sure and play through the game once with a friend. We just did the first level together, and it certainly helped since the friendly AI sucks.

Orange Box I purchased a while ago, and I haven't had a chance to play it. I also started Assassin's Creed, and never got around to finishing it. Before the end of the year, my goal is to play those games, and beat Gears 2 as well, since that has been pre-ordered for me. I still want to finish my 2nd playthrough of Mass Effect. I never got around to doing that, and there are a ton of things I didn't do the first time around. Any other games will be bonus playing time!

Anyway, sorry for the little lack of activity. Been extremely busy lately, but that changes next week. Expect me around more then

O wait....I mean Force! Unleash the Force! Or was it Force Unleashed?

In any case, I am definitely having fun with ridiculous Force powers and killing and lightsabering and all that stuff. I must have played like 7 hours of it today. So far I've only run into a little glitch like twice, so I'm pretty happy with that.

That's about it. It's nice to get back to some real gaming, and it seems I'm over 5k on the achievement points! Lucas, you better start playing ASAP!

So, I normally don't watch the news, but today was a special occasion. Charlie Gibson (who is good, but nothing compared to Peter Jennings) is in Alaska interviewing the Republican nominee for VP, Sarah Palin. The interview is in two parts, one tonight, and one tomorrow. Let's just say that Palin got owned so hard I'm not even going to bother watching tomorrow, and this doesn't do it justice:

No amount of facepalms can express how utterly disgusted I am with her. Palin is got to be the LAST person I would vote for. She avoided almost every question that Gibson threw at her. He even called her out, telling her he got lost in all the words, and just wanted a yes or no answer. She still didn't give him one. Not only that, but when he asked about the Bush Doctrine, SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS. HE HAD TO EXPLAIN IT TO HER!!!!! Give me a damn break, even I know what that is.

McCain is way old, and he must be going senile to pick Palin. If he croaks, we'll be stuck with Palin, and that's not something this country is ready for. I certainly don't want someone with the intelligence of a 12-year old running the place. Guess I know where my vote is going now, although Obama isn't much better...

Anyway, I know N3MO is with me....SAY NO TO PALIN!

Especially those that work at game stores. I love it. Not only can they hook it up with scoops on when games are actually out, but they have wicked discounts. I picked up Orange Box yesterday for 360 for $20 brand new! It's still $30 most places, so that's pretty awesome. It's not like I have a chance to play it at the moment, but I will shortly, so I'm excited. She can't get discounts on new games, but I'll take what I can get!

Also, I pre-ordered Force Unleashed and Lego Batman. Can't wait to get my hands on those! Gears 2 is already on pre-order from my birthday (first time anyone's gotten me a game), so that's a steady amount of game play coming up! I'm looking forward to it....it's been a while since I've had a ton of games to play

Games that freeze. Nothing pisses me off more, especially games that don't save within a level. You get through the entire level, spend a good 20-30 minutes on it, are almost finished, and then BAM, progress gone, just like that. SO AGGRAVATING! So yea, that's all, needed to vent.

+10 points to the first person who gets the blog title reference.
